A New Service of the Soup Kitchen of our Church
Since February 1st, 2024, a new service started at the Service of Love Soup Kitchen in Tirana started which is to provide food to the people in need. In order to help those who are incapable of going to take their food from the Soup Kitchen due to their health problems or retired age, the staff of the Soup Kitchen takes the food to the place where they live.
At present, the Soup Kitchen Stuff of the Church provides food on daily basis not only to those who go and take it from there but also to fifty more other people who are served food at their home.
Through the support of Archbishop Anastasios, The Service of Love Soup Kitchen started to operate in 2005 serving food to a limited number of people several times a week. Gradually, it spread its activity through the contribution of various donors. At the moment, it provides food to three hundred people in need from Monday to Saturday (120 of them have food inside it and 180 people take food with them). In addition, there are fifty more people who are served food at their home.
