“You Albania, give me honor and give me the name Albanian” was this motto of the festive concert organized by Protagonist School, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Independence and the 10th anniversary of the opening of the grades 1st – 9th- school in Tirana. The concert was held in the amphitheater of the “Resurrection of Christ” Cathedral, on Friday, November 23rd. Attending this concert were His Beatitude Anastasios, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, the clergy of the Church, parents, children, representatives from educational institutions of Albania and the Orthodox community. The festive concert began with the hymn of the flag. The whole room stood up.
A mini-documentary film, which showed all the visits that Archbishop Anastasios has made to this school during the 10 years of its life and the warm communication, the sincere conversations with the teachers and the students. Then the concert continued with patriotic songs, dances from different regions of the country, poetry from different writers of Albania, thanksgiving etc. Students ardently thanked Archbishop Anastasios who was the founder and organizer of the school and all those who are helping in their upbringing. For about an hour and a half children, teachers, parents and guests enjoyed celebrating together the 10th anniversary of the school, which so beautifully coincided with the 100th anniversary of Independence.
