The Central Children’s Office of the Orthodox autocephalous Church of Albania, in cooperation with volunteers from the Student Center and the young active Orthodox people of the church, conducted for the eleventh year the summer camps in Malisheva, Kosovo.

The program, different from other years, coincided in a day to each school with variety of activities. The day began with a welcome by the teaching staff of the respective school, and later they made a presentation about the camp staff, the support and sponsorship that provides the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albanian and other donors to develop these camps in Kosovo.
The rest of the program continued with the repeating of the hymns of the camps in the previous years and with games in large groups, and than the children learned the hymn of this year’s camp that had as central theme sincerity.

To make more practical and understandable the theme of the camp for all ages, the staff presented a special drama. Children were organized in games with 10 stations, including songs, dances, etc.. Each camp was closed with a cocktail in tribute to friendship and time spent together.

Children were very happy. Here’s what some of them said at the end of the activity:

Elbasani: I loved the camp, but I would like to be longer.
Diellza: I liked the game with stations and with your presence in here.
Bjeshka: With nostalgia we remember the previous camps and the previous teachers and impatiently we look for the camps that you develop, we learn new things and create the new friendships.

Marina, participating for the first time in the camps of Kosovo said: “As the camp continues 11 years, this make me understand a sincere love, sacrifice and a radiant behavior in the Christ way that this staff represents, for the glory of GOD. Also I appreciate the hospitality of the teachers and the adaption of the children quickly to our staff: the love, commitment, excitement of the children to learn something new. They touched our hearts and encouraged us to visit them again. For realization of these camps, special thanks goes to the President of the Municipal Assembly, Isni Kilaj, to the Educational Department in Malisheva and to the directors of the schools for their invitations for the development of these camps.
