On the day of his official visit in our country, 3 November 2013, the President of Greece, Mr. Karolos Papoulias visited the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albanian, His Beatitude Ansatsios in afternoon.
The reception was organized at the Holy Synod Center. Greetings were exchanged, and the Archbishop Anastasios gave an overview of the progress and development of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania during these past 22 years; then Archbishop Anastasios gave a copy of the Codex Korça (10th century).
Bishops Anthony, Nathaneil and Asti participated in the reception together with other Orthodox clergy and laity. Then Mr. Papoulias visited the new “Resurrection of Christ” Cathedral where he was greeted with chants in Albanian by the “Joan Koukouzeli” Byzantine Choir, and was given a short program was given in the conference room by the “Resurrection” Radio musical ensemble.
