Answering the dramatic situation created by the recent floods in the region of Shkodra, under the direct care of Archbishop Anastasios, the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania donated today, 11 January 2010, five (5) tons of humanitarian aid.
The humanitarian aid was comprised of food, clothing, bedding, etc. This assistance was delivered to the depots created by the Emergency Headquarters in the Industrial High School in presence of the vice-Chairman of City Hall, and representatives of the Prefecture, etc.
They considered this action as help that was greatly needed and as an example which should be followed, because this emergency requires great assistance and will take some time before it is remedied.
