Pas vdekjes s\u00eb abatit Qirjaku t\u00eb manastirit t\u00eb Hilandarit, sinodi i ipeshkvijve e zgjodhi nj\u00ebz\u00ebri Danielin abat t\u00eb manastirit t\u00eb madh serb t\u00eb Malit Athos. Por ajo arriti nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb ashp\u00ebr dhe t\u00eb rrezikshme p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjith\u00eb zon\u00ebn athoniane. T\u00eb gjitha furnizimet ua shp\u00ebrndau t\u00eb uriturve dhe sulmet i p\u00ebrballonte vet\u00eb me lutje dhe durim. Kur varf\u00ebria u b\u00eb e padurueshme, Danieli mori reliket dhe kafsh\u00ebt e manastirit dhe u nis p\u00ebr n\u00eb Serbi p\u00ebrmes zonave t\u00eb shkat\u00ebrruara. Mbreti Milutin e priti n\u00eb Shkup me g\u00ebzim t\u00eb madh dhe i ofroi siguri dhe mb\u00ebshtetje. Por ai, pasi la thesaret atje, u kthye n\u00eb manastirin e tij, gati p\u00ebr \u00e7do prov\u00eb. P\u00ebr lutjet e tij ai i detyrohej lirimin e tij nga m\u00ebrgimi n\u00eb Kostandinopoj\u00eb dhe pajtimin e tij me mbretin e vjet\u00ebr. M\u00eb tremb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb maj t\u00eb vitit nj\u00ebmij\u00eb e treqind e nj\u00ebzet e tre u nda nga jeta Kryepeshkopi Nikodimos. Ai nd\u00ebrtoi tempuj t\u00eb rinj, rinovoi t\u00eb vjetrat dhe i dekoroi me piktura dhe en\u00eb t\u00eb shenjta. Ai ia kushtoi pjes\u00ebn m\u00eb t\u00eb madhe t\u00eb kujdesit t\u00eb tij dy manastireve kryepeshkopale t\u00eb Zitsa-s dhe Pets. N\u00eb nj\u00eb vend ai ngriti tempullin e Hyjlind\u00ebs Odegetria e Kostandinopoj\u00ebs si fal\u00ebnderim p\u00ebr shp\u00ebtimin e tij nga rreziku. Pran\u00eb saj ai nd\u00ebrtoi nj\u00eb kish\u00ebz t\u00eb vog\u00ebl t\u00eb Agios Nikolaos, ku kryheshin sh\u00ebrbesat sipas urdhrit grek. N\u00eb ndeshjen nd\u00ebrmjet Serbis\u00eb dhe Bullgaris\u00eb, Stefanos De\u00e7anski filloi fushat\u00ebn s\u00eb bashku me djalin e tij Stefanos Dushan. Mbreti i besoi Danielit si kujdestarin e familjes s\u00eb tij dhe sundimtarin e vendit n\u00eb munges\u00eb t\u00eb tij. Nga fusha e betej\u00ebs ai d\u00ebrgoi raporte dhe kryepeshkopi urdh\u00ebroi litani dhe lutje p\u00ebr fitoren e ushtris\u00eb. Kryepeshkopi Daniel zgjodhi vendin, mbik\u00ebqyri nd\u00ebrtimin dhe dha parat\u00eb e tij p\u00ebr nj\u00eb pjes\u00eb t\u00eb tempullit.
