Ai bari i ri, vet\u00ebm nj\u00ebzet vje\u00e7, ishte b\u00ebr\u00eb tashm\u00eb peshkop i gjith\u00eb Ilirikut, me qend\u00ebr n\u00eb Avlon\u00ebn bregdetare t\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb sotme. Eleftherios lindi n\u00eb Rom\u00eb n\u00eb shekullin e dyt\u00eb, nga prind\u00ebr t\u00eb pasur dhe zot\u00ebr t\u00eb qytetit. Babai i vdiq kur ai ishte ende f\u00ebmij\u00eb dhe edukimi i tij ra n\u00eb duart e n\u00ebn\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. Anthia e devotshme, t\u00eb cil\u00ebs i ishte m\u00ebsuar besimi nga dishepujt e apostullit Pal, e ushqeu at\u00eb me frik\u00ebn ndaj Zotit dhe me dashurin\u00eb ndaj virtyteve. Peshkopi i Rom\u00ebs, Anikitos, njohu dhurata t\u00eb rralla tek nx\u00ebn\u00ebsi i ri dhe e mori vet\u00eb edukimin e tij n\u00eb letrat e shenjta. N\u00eb mosh\u00ebn pes\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vje\u00e7 u shugurua dhjak, n\u00eb shtat\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb plak dhe n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn nj\u00ebzet vje\u00e7 iu besua peshkopata e larmishme e Ilirikut per\u00ebndimor. Pavar\u00ebsisht nga vitet e tij t\u00eb reja, Eleftherios kishte arritur tashm\u00eb mas\u00ebn e pjekuris\u00eb shpirt\u00ebrore t\u00eb Krishtit. Fama e bariut t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb dhe mrekullit\u00eb q\u00eb shoq\u00ebruan predikimin e tij arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb vesh\u00ebt e perandorit Hadrian. Ai u alarmua nga rritja e shpejt\u00eb e Kish\u00ebs dhe d\u00ebrgoi oficerin Feliks p\u00ebr t\u00eb arrestuar peshkopin. M\u00eb pas e shtrin\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb shtrat hekuri t\u00eb nxeht\u00eb dhe e rrethuan me vaj t\u00eb nxeht\u00eb dhe l\u00ebnd\u00eb t\u00eb tjera djeg\u00ebse. Por Hiri i Per\u00ebndis\u00eb e mbrojti at\u00eb t\u00eb pad\u00ebmtuar p\u00ebrmes \u00e7do shpikjeje t\u00eb t\u00eb ligjve. Martiri e kontrolloi ashp\u00ebr perandorin dhe e quajti ujku i Arabis\u00eb, sepse po gllab\u00ebronte kopen\u00eb e Krishtit. Me k\u00ebshill\u00ebn e prefektit mizor Koremonos, ata p\u00ebrgatit\u00ebn nj\u00eb furr\u00eb t\u00eb mbushur me grepa hekuri me maj\u00eb dhe hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb t\u00eb atletin e Krishtit. Por ai u lut me zjarr p\u00ebr kthimin e armiqve t\u00eb tij dhe befas Koremonas u ndri\u00e7ua nga Fryma e Shenjt\u00eb. Ai ndjeu simpati t\u00eb thell\u00eb p\u00ebr luft\u00ebn e martirit dhe rr\u00ebfeu me guxim Shp\u00ebtimtarin para t\u00eb gjith\u00ebve. Pastaj hyri i vet\u00ebm n\u00eb furr\u00ebn q\u00eb kishte p\u00ebrgatitur p\u00ebr shenjtorin. Por Chari e mbajti t\u00eb paprekur s\u00eb bashku me Eleftherios dhe u pag\u00ebzua prej tij n\u00eb flak\u00eb. P\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb arsye atij iu pre koka menj\u00ebher\u00eb.
