Kur u akuzua padrejt\u00ebsisht se kishte \u00e7nderuar nj\u00eb murgesh\u00eb, ajo mbajti pesh\u00ebn e shpifjes pa folur, me gjith\u00eb d\u00ebnimin e tmerrsh\u00ebm q\u00eb i kishte shqiptuar igumeni. Sh\u00ebn Susanna erdhi nga Palestina dhe jetoi n\u00eb fund t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb tret\u00eb pas Krishtit, n\u00eb vite t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira p\u00ebr Kish\u00ebn. Babai i saj Artemios ishte nj\u00eb pagan dhe prift i idhujve, nd\u00ebrsa n\u00ebna e saj Marta mbajti besimin hebre. N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb familje t\u00eb ndar\u00eb, zonja e re njohu drit\u00ebn e Krishtit p\u00ebr veten e saj. Ajo k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb pag\u00ebzohej nga peshkopi Siluanos dhe u b\u00eb e krishter\u00eb me gjith\u00eb zem\u00ebr. Ky vendim zem\u00ebroi thell\u00eb si johebrenjt\u00eb ashtu edhe hebrenjt\u00eb e rajonit. Madje, s\u00eb bashku vendos\u00ebn ta shfarosnin, p\u00ebr t\u00eb lar\u00eb fyerjen q\u00eb mendonin se kishin marr\u00eb. Mir\u00ebpo, peshkopi u informua me koh\u00eb p\u00ebr komplotin dhe k\u00ebrkoi nj\u00eb rrug\u00eb shp\u00ebtimi s\u00eb bashku me Sh\u00ebn. Zgjidhjen m\u00eb n\u00eb fund e dha vet\u00eb Suzana, me nj\u00eb guxim q\u00eb i habiti t\u00eb gjith\u00eb. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb pasurin\u00eb at\u00ebrore ajo ua shp\u00ebrndau t\u00eb varf\u00ebrve t\u00eb qytetit, duke mos mbajtur asgj\u00eb p\u00ebr vete. Pastaj veshi rroba burrash, fshehu form\u00ebn e saj fem\u00ebrore dhe u largua fshehurazi nga Jeruzalemi. Gjat\u00eb rrug\u00ebs p\u00ebr n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00eb, ajo hasi n\u00eb nj\u00eb vetmi t\u00eb njer\u00ebzve t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm dhe k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb pranohej. Aty u quajt Joani dhe filloi nj\u00eb jet\u00eb t\u00eb rrept\u00eb asketike, besnik ndaj t\u00eb gjitha rregullave t\u00eb rendit monastik. P\u00ebr nj\u00ebzet vjet t\u00eb t\u00ebra ajo jetoi pa t\u00eb meta, me agj\u00ebrim, lutje dhe bindje, pa e zbuluar kurr\u00eb sekretin e saj. Por kur nj\u00eb shpifje e akuzonte p\u00ebr \u00e7nderim t\u00eb nj\u00eb murgeshe, ajo e mbajti n\u00eb heshtje barr\u00ebn dhe pranoi d\u00ebnimin. Igumeni i shqiptoi nj\u00eb d\u00ebnim t\u00eb ashp\u00ebr dhe ajo e duroi at\u00eb me vet\u00ebmohim dhe p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi t\u00eb admirueshme. Kur peshkopi i Eleftheroupolis donte ta shkish\u00ebronte p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb rast, ajo u detyrua t\u00eb zbulonte t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00ebn. M\u00eb pas ajo u zbulua se ishte nj\u00eb grua dhe i la t\u00eb gjith\u00eb t\u00eb pranishmit t\u00eb habitur nga durimi dhe virtyti i saj. Peshkopi e njohu shenjt\u00ebrin\u00eb e saj, e shuguroi dhjak dhe e mori nga manastiri. Ai i caktoi asaj nj\u00eb sh\u00ebrbim n\u00eb dioqez\u00ebn e tij, n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb q\u00eb ajo t\u00eb mund t\u00eb mb\u00ebshteste grat\u00eb e komuniteteve t\u00eb krishtera me fjal\u00ebn dhe shembullin e saj. Fama e saj u p\u00ebrhap gjithnj\u00eb e m\u00eb shum\u00eb n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb zon\u00ebn e Eleftheroupolis. Shum\u00eb vrapuan drejt saj p\u00ebr t\u00eb d\u00ebgjuar fjal\u00ebt e saj dhe p\u00ebr t\u00eb k\u00ebrkuar mb\u00ebshtetje shpirt\u00ebrore n\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira. Por kur shp\u00ebrtheu persekutimi i madh nga perandori Dioklecian, Suzan\u00ebs nuk e zuri fare paniku. Ajo vazhdoi ta adhuronte Jisu Krishtin haptazi, pa ia fshehur besimin askujt. Sundimtari Aleksandri urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t\u00eb arrestohej dhe t\u00eb silleshin para tij p\u00ebr t&#x27;u marr\u00eb n\u00eb pyetje. Ai i k\u00ebrkoi asaj t\u00eb b\u00ebnte kurban p\u00ebr idhujt dhe t\u00eb mohonte publikisht emrin e Zotit t\u00eb saj. Sh\u00ebnja q\u00ebndroi pa frik\u00eb para tij dhe refuzoi me vendosm\u00ebri \u00e7do tradhti ndaj besimit t\u00eb saj. M\u00eb pas e burgos\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb qeli t\u00eb err\u00ebt s\u00eb bashku me rr\u00ebfimtar\u00ebt e tjer\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00eb t\u00eb koh\u00ebs.
