Treqind besimtar\u00eb, t\u00eb mbledhur fshehurazi n\u00eb nj\u00eb tempull p\u00ebr Hyjnoren Liturgji, mbet\u00ebn aty me d\u00ebshir\u00ebn e tyre dhe u pren\u00eb kokat nga shpatat e barbar\u00ebve. Kujtimi i tyre p\u00ebrkujtohet m\u00eb tet\u00eb dhjetor sipas tradit\u00ebs sllave dhe m\u00eb shtat\u00eb dhjetor sipas tradit\u00ebs greke. Ata jetuan n\u00eb vitet e perandorit Zeno, kur Afrika sundohej nga Gunnerichus, djali dhe pasardh\u00ebsi i Gizerichus, i rr\u00ebnjosur thell\u00eb n\u00eb herezin\u00eb e Arius. Me nxitjen e ipeshkvijve Kiril dhe Vidimand ose Valinardi me mendje t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00eb, sundimtari filloi nj\u00eb persekutim t\u00eb tmerrsh\u00ebm kund\u00ebr ortodoks\u00ebve, m\u00eb i ashp\u00ebr se ai i Dioklecianit dhe Maksimianit. N\u00eb t\u00eb gjitha qytetet dhe krahinat e territorit t\u00eb tij d\u00ebrgoi pes\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb mij\u00eb ushtar\u00eb, me urdh\u00ebr t\u00eb d\u00ebbimit t\u00eb prift\u00ebrinjve ortodoks\u00eb kudo. Kushdo q\u00eb refuzonte t\u00eb pag\u00ebzohej marsian, ekzekutohej n\u00eb vend, pa gjyq dhe pa m\u00ebshir\u00eb. Por besimi i ortodoks\u00ebve nuk u p\u00ebrkul p\u00ebrpara k\u00ebrc\u00ebnimeve dhe shum\u00eb prej tyre preferuan martirizimin n\u00eb vend t\u00eb tradhtis\u00eb s\u00eb rr\u00ebfimit t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb t\u00eb Krishtit. N\u00eb at\u00eb or\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebshtir\u00eb besimtar\u00ebt u mblodh\u00ebn fshehurazi n\u00eb nj\u00eb tempull, p\u00ebr t\u00eb kryer qet\u00ebsisht Liturgji Hyjnore dhe p\u00ebr t&#x27;u forcuar nga Misteret e Pap\u00ebrlyera. Barbar\u00ebt, megjithat\u00eb, u informuan p\u00ebr takimin, u v\u00ebrsul\u00ebn n\u00eb tempull me shpata t\u00eb zhveshur dhe gjet\u00ebn ortodoks\u00ebt duke k\u00ebnduar dhe lavd\u00ebruar Zotin e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. Mes tyre kishte pleq me flok\u00eb t\u00eb bardha, t\u00eb rinj n\u00eb kulmin e tyre dhe baballar\u00eb familjesh me p\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsi t\u00eb r\u00ebnda. Askush nuk u p\u00ebrkul, askush nuk u p\u00ebrkul, askush nuk e mohoi Dh\u00ebndrin e shpirtit t\u00eb tij n\u00eb or\u00ebn kritike. Martirizimi i tyre p\u00ebrfundoi rreth vitit kat\u00ebrqind e shtat\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e shtat\u00eb, duke vulosur me gjakun e tyre d\u00ebshmin\u00eb e Ortodoksis\u00eb n\u00eb Afrik\u00eb. Megjithat\u00eb, prift\u00ebrinjt\u00eb digjeshin me zell edhe m\u00eb t\u00eb madh p\u00ebr besimin e drejt\u00eb dhe p\u00ebsuan martirizime shum\u00eb m\u00eb t\u00eb r\u00ebnda p\u00ebr t\u00eb. Dy prej tyre u dor\u00ebzuan t\u00eb gjall\u00eb n\u00eb flak\u00eb dhe gjasht\u00ebdhjet\u00eb nuk pat\u00ebn t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin fat si t\u00eb tjer\u00ebt. Barbar\u00ebt e pren\u00eb gjuh\u00ebn nga rr\u00ebnja, duke menduar se k\u00ebshtu do ta shuanin predikimin e s\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00ebs nga goja e tyre. Por Martir\u00ebt u shp\u00ebrndan\u00eb n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb tok\u00ebn greke dhe mbi ta u shfaq nj\u00eb fuqi e madhe dhe e mrekullueshme e Zotit. Edhe pse t\u00eb privuar nga organi i z\u00ebrit, ata fol\u00ebn me guxim, qart\u00eb dhe kuptuesh\u00ebm dhe p\u00ebrmbys\u00ebn me fjal\u00ebt e tyre gabimet marsiane. Ata q\u00eb i pan\u00eb dhe i d\u00ebgjuan, u mahnit\u00ebn nga mrekullia dhe p\u00ebrl\u00ebvdonin Zotin me lot. Para vet\u00eb vandal\u00ebve, ata rr\u00ebfyen se Biri ishte i nj\u00ebtrajtsh\u00ebm me Atin dhe mbrojt\u00ebn tradit\u00ebn at\u00ebrore. N\u00eb mesin e rr\u00ebfimtar\u00ebve kishte t\u00eb moshuar, t\u00eb rinj dhe kryefamiljar\u00eb, por t\u00eb gjith\u00eb i q\u00ebndruan besnik\u00eb Krishtit dhe kish\u00ebs s\u00eb tij Sh\u00ebn deri n\u00eb fund. D\u00ebshmia e tyre u b\u00eb nj\u00eb mb\u00ebshtetje e pal\u00ebkundur p\u00ebr Kish\u00ebn, gjat\u00eb viteve t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira t\u00eb dhun\u00ebs marsiane. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb n\u00eb Rom\u00eb, gruaja e prefektit t\u00eb qytetit, Sunilde, ishte e s\u00ebmur\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb nga herezia e Ariusit dhe po p\u00ebrpiqej t&#x27;ua p\u00ebrhapte gabimin e saj zonjave q\u00eb njihte. Ajo po i b\u00ebnte presion gruas s\u00eb nj\u00eb zyrtari romak, t\u00eb devotshmit Anthusa, q\u00eb t\u00eb pranonte pag\u00ebzimin marsian dhe t\u00eb mohonte besimin e t\u00eb atit. Por Anthousa u p\u00ebrgjigj me vendosm\u00ebri se ajo tashm\u00eb ishte pag\u00ebzuar me uj\u00eb dhe Frym\u00eb nga peshkopi i Milanos, i madhi Ambrosius. Sunildis u t\u00ebrbua nga q\u00ebndrueshm\u00ebria e rr\u00ebfimit dhe urdh\u00ebroi t\u00eb digjnin t\u00eb gjall\u00eb t\u00eb porsamartuarin e mir\u00eb dhe besnik. Burri i Sh\u00ebnsit u tmerrua nga fati i gruas s\u00eb tij dhe nxitoi t\u00eb pranonte pag\u00ebzimin marsian.
