Kur doli, fytyra dhe trupi i tij ishin t\u00eb mbuluara me plag\u00eb, madje as babai i tij nuk e njohu. Sh\u00ebn Karioni jetoi n\u00eb Egjipt gjat\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb kat\u00ebrt dhe la pas gruan dhe dy f\u00ebmij\u00ebt e tyre. Ai u nis vet\u00ebm p\u00ebr n\u00eb Sket\u00eb, ku u b\u00eb murg dhe iu p\u00ebrkushtua lutjes dhe ushtrimeve. Por kur kishte nj\u00eb zi t\u00eb madhe buke n\u00eb Egjipt, gruaja e tij nuk mund t\u00eb duronte varf\u00ebrin\u00eb dhe privimin. Ai mori dy f\u00ebmij\u00ebt dhe iu afrua ermitazhit, duke i k\u00ebrkuar ndihm\u00eb babait t\u00eb tyre. Ai u ul n\u00ebn nj\u00eb pem\u00eb, pran\u00eb burimit, dhe priti t\u00eb takohej me t\u00eb. Por kur Zakaria u rrit, filluan ankesat midis v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt e konsideruan pranin\u00eb e tij nj\u00eb shqet\u00ebsim p\u00ebr vetmin\u00eb. At\u00ebher\u00eb babai i tha q\u00eb t\u00eb largoheshin s\u00eb bashku, q\u00eb t\u00eb mos kishte arsye q\u00eb baballar\u00ebt t\u00eb murmurisnin kund\u00ebr tij. Por i riu nuk pranoi ta linte duke th\u00ebn\u00eb se \u00ebsht\u00eb djali i tij dhe nuk ka ku t\u00eb shkoj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr. K\u00ebshtu ata t\u00eb dy u nis\u00ebn s\u00eb bashku p\u00ebr n\u00eb Thebaid dhe jetuan atje n\u00eb nj\u00eb qeli p\u00ebr ca koh\u00eb. Prifti i tha me emocion se t\u00eb diel\u00ebn e kaluar ishte kunguar si burr\u00eb, nd\u00ebrsa tani merrte pjes\u00eb si engj\u00ebll. Kur u afrua koha e gjumit t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Karionit, ai u foli me p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve t\u00eb eretit. Ai tha se ka punuar shum\u00eb dhe ka praktikuar m\u00eb shum\u00eb asket se djali i tij Zakaria, por pa arritur mas\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb heshtjes dhe posht\u00ebrimit. Me k\u00ebto fjal\u00eb ai ia dor\u00ebzoi paq\u00ebsisht shpirtin Zotit, n\u00eb heshtjen e vetmis\u00eb. Murgu i ri mbeti jetim nga nj\u00eb baba mishor, por vazhdoi me zell m\u00eb t\u00eb madh luft\u00ebn e lutjes dhe t\u00eb maturis\u00eb. K\u00ebshtu filloi periudha e dyt\u00eb e praktik\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, pran\u00eb et\u00ebrve t\u00eb rinj shpirt\u00ebror\u00eb t\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebs. Q\u00eb nga ajo koh\u00eb, Zakaria e shenjt\u00eb luftoi s\u00eb bashku me asketin e madh Moisiun Etiopian n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00eb. Nj\u00eb her\u00eb Moisiu i moshuar e pyeti me p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi se \u00e7far\u00eb duhet t\u00eb b\u00ebnte p\u00ebr t\u00eb shp\u00ebtuar shpirtin e tij.
