Atje, n\u00eb Mavri Potamia pran\u00eb lumit Ivar, Osh\u00ebnar Ioannikios ngriti qelin\u00eb e tij asketike dhe filloi nj\u00eb luft\u00eb q\u00eb do t\u00eb zgjaste gati nj\u00eb shekull. Ai rridhte nga prind\u00ebr t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm dhe t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt i rr\u00ebnjos\u00ebn q\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb vog\u00ebl dashurin\u00eb p\u00ebr Krishtin dhe jet\u00ebn e vetmuar. Kur pa shpell\u00ebn e vog\u00ebl n\u00eb pyllin e dendur, kuptoi se atje po e \u00e7onte provania e Zotit. N\u00eb at\u00eb vend kishte luftuar m\u00eb par\u00eb edhe Osh\u00ebnar Pjetri i Korisit dhe bekimi i tij mbeti i gjall\u00eb. N\u00eb qelin\u00eb e tij t\u00eb p\u00ebrulur Osh\u00ebnar Ioannikios kaloi shum\u00eb vite me shoq\u00ebrin\u00eb e vetme t\u00eb agj\u00ebrimit, lot\u00ebve dhe lutjeve t\u00eb pand\u00ebrprera. Pak nga pak fama e shenjt\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb tij u p\u00ebrhap n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb Serbin\u00eb dhe pelegrin\u00ebt filluan t\u00eb mb\u00ebrrinin nga \u00e7do cep i vendit. T\u00eb tjer\u00eb k\u00ebrkuan fjal\u00ebn dhe bekimin e tij, t\u00eb tjer\u00eb luteshin q\u00eb t\u00eb q\u00ebndronin pran\u00eb tij si dishepuj n\u00eb jet\u00ebn e vetmuar. Rreth qelis\u00eb s\u00eb tij u krijua nj\u00eb v\u00ebllaz\u00ebri e vog\u00ebl me koh\u00eb dhe baballar\u00ebt s\u00eb bashku nd\u00ebrtuan nj\u00eb tempull p\u00ebr nevojat e adhurimit t\u00eb p\u00ebrbashk\u00ebt. Kur shenjt\u00ebria e tij u b\u00eb e njohur kudo, ai u nis fshehurazi p\u00ebr n\u00eb Drenic\u00eb dhe u zhduk n\u00eb pyllin e dendur t\u00eb Devicit. Aty, n\u00eb nj\u00eb shkreti t\u00eb re, ai rifilloi luft\u00ebn e v\u00ebshtir\u00eb t\u00eb vetmis\u00eb dhe beqaris\u00eb. Ai luftoi me demon\u00ebt, derdhi lot pendimi dhe iu p\u00ebrkushtua me gjith\u00eb zem\u00ebr lutjes mendore t\u00eb zemr\u00ebs. Vendi ishte i panjohur dhe i paarritsh\u00ebm, por Zoti e zbuloi shpejt sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtorin e Tij. Nj\u00eb dit\u00eb despoti Gjergji mb\u00ebrriti n\u00eb pyll, duke mbajtur n\u00eb krah\u00eb vajz\u00ebn e tij q\u00eb po vdiste. Me lot iu lut Osios q\u00eb t\u00eb nd\u00ebrmjet\u00ebsonte p\u00ebr f\u00ebmij\u00ebn dhe Sh\u00ebn me hir t\u00eb Zotit i dha sh\u00ebndet. Despoti i tronditur k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb dinte se si mund t&#x27;i shprehte mir\u00ebnjohjen e tij Shenjtorit. Osh\u00ebnar Ioannikios i k\u00ebrkoi atij t\u00eb nd\u00ebrtonte nj\u00eb manastir n\u00eb at\u00eb vend t\u00eb Devit\u00ebve, kushtuar hyrjeve t\u00eb Hyjlind\u00ebses s\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb. Sundimtari e mbajti menj\u00ebher\u00eb premtimin dhe manastiri u vendos n\u00eb tok\u00ebn serbe t\u00eb Kosov\u00ebs. Pas nj\u00eb jete t\u00eb mrekullueshme plot ushtrime dhe mrekulli, Osh\u00ebnar pushoi n\u00eb Zotin n\u00eb dat\u00ebn e dyt\u00eb t\u00eb dhjetorit, gati nj\u00ebqind vje\u00e7. Bukurit\u00eb dhe mrekullit\u00eb e lipsanit mbet\u00ebn n\u00eb manastir si nj\u00eb burim i pashtersh\u00ebm bekimi p\u00ebr besimtar\u00ebt. Pas gjumit t\u00eb tij u kryen shum\u00eb mrekulli te pelegrin\u00ebt q\u00eb u strehuan n\u00eb hirin e tij. Ata q\u00eb e thirr\u00ebn at\u00eb me besim t\u00eb gjall\u00eb, gjet\u00ebn sh\u00ebrim nga s\u00ebmundjet e tyre dhe leht\u00ebsim nga pik\u00ebllimet e tyre. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin manastir ka jetuar m\u00eb von\u00eb nj\u00eb murgesh\u00eb e famshme dhe teofile, motra Efimia, e cila n\u00eb rajonin e Kosov\u00ebs quhej Makaria Stoina. Nga nderimi i thell\u00eb p\u00ebr Sh\u00ebn Joaniin, ai nd\u00ebrtoi nj\u00eb Ipostnitsa t\u00eb vog\u00ebl, dometh\u00ebn\u00eb nj\u00eb sht\u00ebpi t\u00eb p\u00ebrulur t\u00eb heshtjes dhe qet\u00ebsis\u00eb. Ajo vet\u00eb ra n\u00eb gjum\u00eb n\u00eb Zotin n\u00eb vitin nj\u00ebmij\u00eb e tet\u00ebqind e n\u00ebnt\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e pes\u00eb, duke l\u00ebn\u00eb pas saj nj\u00eb kujtim ossific. Megjithat\u00eb, Osh\u00ebnar Ioannikios vazhdoi t\u00eb b\u00ebnte mrekulli si kur jetoi n\u00eb tok\u00eb pes\u00ebqind vjet m\u00eb par\u00eb. Nj\u00ebher\u00eb e nj\u00eb koh\u00eb nj\u00eb burr\u00eb nga Hercegovina i quajtur Milos po p\u00ebrgatitej t\u00eb udh\u00ebtonte n\u00eb Jerusalem p\u00ebr t\u00eb adhuruar vendet e shenjta. Pak para se t\u00eb niste, Osh\u00ebnar Ioannikios iu shfaq n\u00eb gjum\u00eb dhe e largoi nga udh\u00ebtimi. I nderuari Milosh iu bind menj\u00ebher\u00eb z\u00ebrit t\u00eb Shenjtit dhe nxitoi n\u00eb manastir. Ai e pastroi tempullin, e rinovoi dhe i dha jet\u00eb t\u00eb re me pun\u00ebn e tij personale. N\u00eb fund ai mori form\u00ebn e vetmuar dhe q\u00ebndroi atje deri n\u00eb or\u00ebn e fundit. N\u00eb vitet e Luft\u00ebs s\u00eb Par\u00eb Bot\u00ebrore, kur austriak\u00ebt pushtuan tokat serbe, n\u00eb manastirin e Deviqit mb\u00ebrriti nj\u00eb oficer hungarez me ushtar\u00eb. Ai urdh\u00ebroi abatin Damasken q\u00eb ta \u00e7onte te varri i Sh\u00ebn Joaniit dhe filloi t\u00eb pyeste se \u00e7far\u00eb fshihej sakt\u00ebsisht n\u00ebn pllak\u00eb. Igumeni u p\u00ebrgjigj me respekt se ky \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb vend i shenjt\u00eb, ku prehen lipsane e shenjt\u00eb. Por oficeri e shikoi me mosbesim dhe e pyeti me ironi se \u00e7far\u00eb lloj vendi i shenjt\u00eb ishte ky. Ai imagjinoi se igumeni fshihte aty ar dhe sende me vler\u00eb t\u00eb manastirit. M\u00eb pas ai urdh\u00ebroi ushtar\u00ebt t\u00eb thyenin pllak\u00ebn e varrit me kazma dhe shata. Teksa p\u00ebrfunduan aktin sakrilegj, oficeri papritmas ndjeu nj\u00eb dhimbje t\u00eb mpreht\u00eb n\u00eb mes t\u00eb trupit. Ai ra n\u00eb nj\u00eb shtrat t\u00eb dob\u00ebt dhe para se t\u00eb binte nata dha shpirtin e tij. Ushtar\u00ebt e tmerruar braktis\u00ebn mjetet e tyre dhe ik\u00ebn nga manastiri.
