Nj\u00eb kalimtar i thjesht\u00eb, Paramon, guxoi t\u00eb th\u00ebrriste t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00ebn e Krishtit p\u00ebrpara sundimtarit mizor dhe pagoi nj\u00eb vdekje t\u00eb p\u00ebrgjakshme p\u00ebr rr\u00ebfimin e tij t\u00eb guximsh\u00ebm. Martirizimi i tyre ndodhi n\u00eb mesin e shekullit t\u00eb tret\u00eb pas Krishtit, kur n\u00eb fronin e Rom\u00ebs ishte Decius, nj\u00eb perandor i njohur p\u00ebr persekutimet e tmerrshme ndaj besimtar\u00ebve. Aquilinus, sundimtari i provincave lindore, kishte arrestuar dhe burgosur treqind e shtat\u00ebdhjet\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00eb, me q\u00ebllim q\u00eb t&#x27;i detyronte ata t\u00eb mohonin Krishtin. Ai i shtynte me lajka, me k\u00ebrc\u00ebnime dhe me tortura, p\u00ebr t&#x27;i b\u00ebr\u00eb t\u00eb adhuronin idhuj. Nj\u00eb dit\u00eb u nis p\u00ebr n\u00eb banjat termale t\u00eb Visaltis\u00eb, q\u00eb ndodheshin pran\u00eb nj\u00eb lumi dhe urdh\u00ebroi t\u00eb merrnin me vete d\u00ebshmor\u00ebt e burgosur. Ai synonte t\u00eb kalonte n\u00ebp\u00ebr tempullin pagan dhe t&#x27;i detyronte atje t&#x27;i flijonin per\u00ebndeshat e rreme. Kortezhi ishte i shumt\u00eb dhe rruga ishte e mbushur me ushtar\u00eb, zinxhir\u00eb dhe britma. Kur arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb tempull, Aquilinus u p\u00ebrpoq n\u00eb \u00e7do m\u00ebnyr\u00eb t&#x27;i p\u00ebrkulte t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt dhe t&#x27;i \u00e7onte n\u00eb flijim. U fliste her\u00eb me fjal\u00eb t\u00eb \u00ebmbla e her\u00eb me k\u00ebrc\u00ebnime me vdekje, por pa arritur asgj\u00eb. Martir\u00ebt q\u00ebndruan t\u00eb vendosur n\u00eb rr\u00ebfimin e tyre dhe i k\u00ebnduan psalme, himne dhe oda shpirt\u00ebrore Shp\u00ebtimtarit. Pik\u00ebrisht n\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb kalonte nj\u00eb njeri i devotsh\u00ebm, Paramonos, nj\u00eb i krishter\u00eb besnik dhe nj\u00eb burr\u00eb me shpirt trim. Ai pa turm\u00ebn e d\u00ebshmor\u00ebve t\u00eb \u00e7uar drejt vdekjes dhe nuk mund t\u00eb duronte padrejt\u00ebsin\u00eb e tmerrshme q\u00eb po i b\u00ebhej para syve. Ai q\u00ebndroi para tempullit t\u00eb idhujve dhe b\u00ebrtiti me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb, n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb q\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb t\u00eb mund t\u00eb d\u00ebgjonin britm\u00ebn e zemr\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. Ai tha se sundimtari i paper\u00ebndish\u00ebm vret njer\u00ebz t\u00eb drejt\u00eb t\u00eb pafajsh\u00ebm, vet\u00ebm sepse ata refuzojn\u00eb t\u00eb adhurojn\u00eb idhujt e pajet\u00eb dhe memec\u00eb. Pas k\u00ebtij rr\u00ebfimi publik, Paramonos vazhdoi qet\u00ebsisht rrug\u00ebn, duke mos ditur se \u00e7far\u00eb e priste nga zoti i zem\u00ebruar. Akylinus, sapo d\u00ebgjoi fjal\u00ebt e Paramonit, u t\u00ebrbua dhe menj\u00ebher\u00eb urdh\u00ebroi ushtar\u00ebt e tij q\u00eb ta gjuanin dhe ta vrisnin. Sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtor\u00ebt e pabes\u00eb vrapuan pas tij dhe e arrit\u00ebn, nd\u00ebrsa ai shkoi i shkujdesur n\u00eb rrug\u00ebn e tij dhe nuk e kishte iden\u00eb p\u00ebr rendin e tmerrsh\u00ebm. E arrestuan me dhun\u00eb dhe filluan ta abuzonin me t\u00eb gjitha llojet e torturave. S\u00eb pari ia nxorr\u00ebn gjuh\u00ebn, e cila kishte guxuar t\u00eb kontrollonte zotin mizor dhe e shpuan me vegla t\u00eb mprehta. M\u00eb pas i kan\u00eb plagosur t\u00eb gjitha pjes\u00ebt e trupit, nd\u00ebrsa t\u00eb tjer\u00ebt e kan\u00eb rrahur me shkopinj dhe t\u00eb tjer\u00ebt i kan\u00eb prer\u00eb gjymtyr\u00ebt. N\u00eb fund ata e shpuan trupin e tij me shtizat e tyre t\u00eb gjata dhe e vran\u00eb para syve t\u00eb zotit. K\u00ebshtu d\u00ebshmori trim e dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin e tij t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm n\u00eb duart e Zotit. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb, t\u00eb treqind e shtat\u00ebdhjet\u00eb rr\u00ebfimtar\u00ebve iu pre koka nga shpatat e ushtar\u00ebve p\u00ebrpara tempullit.
