Disa dit\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb, troika e NKVD-s\u00eb e d\u00ebnoi me vdekje dhe e ekzekutoi n\u00eb poligonin fam\u00ebkeq t\u00eb Butov\u00ebs, duke vulosur me martirizim nj\u00eb jet\u00eb kushtuar Krishtit. Ajo, duke dashur t&#x27;u siguronte djemve t\u00eb saj nj\u00eb karrier\u00eb ushtarake, regjistroi Leonidin dhe dy v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit e tij n\u00eb Korpusin e famsh\u00ebm t\u00eb Standing. Nj\u00eb vit para diplomimit, Leonid mori grad\u00ebn e Gjykat\u00ebs s\u00eb P\u00ebrhershme dhe n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn tet\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vje\u00e7 hyri n\u00eb Shkoll\u00ebn Ushtarake t\u00eb Artileris\u00eb. Pasoi sh\u00ebrbimi ushtarak aktiv, duke fituar disiplin\u00eb dhe p\u00ebrvoj\u00eb t\u00eb vlefshme. Viti 1877 ishte n\u00eb Ballkan, ku mori pjes\u00eb n\u00eb betejat e p\u00ebrgjakshme ruso-turke n\u00eb qaf\u00ebn e Sipk\u00ebs, si dhe n\u00eb pushtimin e Teles dhe Plevn\u00ebs. Guximi dhe heroizmi q\u00eb shfaqi u nderuan me shum\u00eb dekorata ushtarake, nd\u00ebrsa provania e Zotit e mbajti at\u00eb nga vdekja e sigurt. Pas kthimit n\u00eb Pjetrisburg paq\u00ebsor, i prekur thell\u00eb nga ajo q\u00eb kishte p\u00ebrjetuar, ai shkroi disa libra p\u00ebr heroizmin e ushtar\u00ebve, p\u00ebr kuptimin e jet\u00ebs dhe p\u00ebr vdekjen. Ai zgjidhi shum\u00eb \u00e7\u00ebshtje q\u00eb e mundonin dhe u b\u00eb udh\u00ebrr\u00ebfyesi i tij shpirt\u00ebror q\u00eb at\u00ebher\u00eb. M\u00eb 8 prill 1879, n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn nj\u00ebzet e tre vje\u00e7are, Leonidi u martua me Natalia Dohturova, vajz\u00ebn e nj\u00eb kabineti t\u00eb shquar t\u00eb oborrit perandorak. Ai u p\u00ebrpoq t\u00eb nd\u00ebrtonte marr\u00ebdh\u00ebnie familjare t\u00eb bazuara n\u00eb moralin e krishter\u00eb, t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin q\u00eb donte t\u00eb rr\u00ebnjente te t\u00eb kat\u00ebr vajzat e tij. N\u00eb mosh\u00ebn tridhjet\u00eb e kat\u00ebr vje\u00e7are, krejt papritur, vendosi t\u00eb linte sh\u00ebrbimin ushtarak dhe t&#x27;i p\u00ebrkushtohej Zotit si prift ortodoks. Lajmi tronditi t\u00eb af\u00ebrmit, madje edhe bashk\u00ebshortja e tij e dashur e kund\u00ebrshtoi ashp\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb vendim. Si nj\u00eb aristokrate e m\u00ebsuar me jet\u00ebn magjeps\u00ebse t\u00eb salloneve, e kishte shum\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebshtir\u00eb ta imagjinonte veten n\u00eb rolin e margarit\u00ebs. N\u00eb fund t\u00eb fundit, q\u00ebndrimi i aristokracis\u00eb ndaj klerit n\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb ishte shpesh me p\u00ebrbuzje dhe munges\u00eb respekti. Leonidi iu drejtua p\u00ebr ndihm\u00eb kryepriftit Joani t\u00eb Kronstandit, i cili e bekoi p\u00ebr rrug\u00ebn e prift\u00ebris\u00eb. At\u00ebher\u00eb bariu i drejt\u00eb takoi personalisht Natalia dhe gjeti fjal\u00eb t\u00eb p\u00ebrshtatshme p\u00ebr zemr\u00ebn e saj. Ai me dashuri e bindi at\u00eb t\u00eb mos i rezistonte providenc\u00ebs s\u00eb Zotit dhe m\u00eb n\u00eb fund ajo dha p\u00eblqimin e saj. M\u00eb pes\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb prill 1890, Leonid dha dor\u00ebheqjen nga ushtria dhe u transferua me familjen e tij n\u00eb Mosk\u00eb. Ata q\u00ebndruan n\u00eb nj\u00eb sht\u00ebpi n\u00eb rrug\u00ebn Ostrozhenka, ku m\u00eb par\u00eb kishte jetuar edhe shkrimtari i madh Ivan Turgenev. N\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb Leonidi iu p\u00ebrkushtua studimit serioz t\u00eb shkencave teologjike me zell dhe p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi. M\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e gjasht\u00eb shkurt 1893 u shugurua dhjak dhe dy dit\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb mori hirin e prift\u00ebris\u00eb. Menj\u00ebher\u00eb pas fillimit t\u00eb sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebs s\u00eb tij baritore, gruaja e tij e dashur Natalia u s\u00ebmur r\u00ebnd\u00eb dhe ra n\u00eb gjum\u00eb n\u00eb Zotin. Vet\u00eb At Leonidi e \u00e7oi trupin n\u00eb Divejev\u00eb dhe e varrosi n\u00eb varrezat e manastirit. Megjithat\u00eb, marr\u00ebdh\u00ebniet e tij me murgjit nuk ishin t\u00eb lehta, pasi shum\u00eb prej tyre ishin fshatar\u00eb dhe e shihnin me mosbesim si nj\u00eb baron aristokratik. Nj\u00eb vit m\u00eb von\u00eb, fal\u00eb ndihm\u00ebs s\u00eb miqve t\u00eb ngusht\u00eb, ai u transferua n\u00eb manastirin e Sotiros dhe Agios Euthymios n\u00eb Suzdal. M\u00eb 14 gusht 1899, me vendim t\u00eb Sinodit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb, em\u00ebrohet igumen i manastirit dhe gradohet arkimandrit. Aty nga epror\u00ebt iu besua detyra e madhe e p\u00ebrgatitjes s\u00eb dosjeve p\u00ebr kanonizimin e At Serafimit t\u00eb Sarofit. N\u00eb vitin 1933 ai u ngarkua t\u00eb planifikonte ceremonin\u00eb zyrtare t\u00eb kanonizimit n\u00eb prani t\u00eb familjes perandorake. Ai e p\u00ebrmbushi detyr\u00ebn n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb t\u00eb mrekullueshme, pasi ceremonia madh\u00ebshtore u zhvillua me rregull, nderim dhe rr\u00ebmbim shpirt\u00ebror. M\u00eb kat\u00ebrmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb shkurt t\u00eb n\u00ebnt\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00ebqind e kat\u00ebr, ai u em\u00ebrua igumen i Manastirit t\u00eb Ringjalljes s\u00eb Jeruzalemit t\u00eb Ri. N\u00eb prill t\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtit vit, ai u shugurua peshkop i Sukhumit dhe filloi sh\u00ebrbimin e tij t\u00eb lart\u00eb prift\u00ebror. Me kalimin e viteve, po afrohej epoka e trazirave t\u00eb m\u00ebdha shoq\u00ebrore dhe sprovave t\u00eb tmerrshme p\u00ebr tok\u00ebn ruse. Sh\u00ebn Serafimi sh\u00ebrbeu me radh\u00eb n\u00eb kat\u00ebr dioqeza, Sukhumi, Orel, Kishinau dhe Tver. Kudo ai themeloi jetimore, spitale dhe k\u00ebshilla famullie, duke luftuar kund\u00ebr gabimit, herezis\u00eb dhe sektarizmit. Si\u00e7 v\u00ebrejn\u00eb historian\u00ebt, ai nuk i shmangu t\u00eb gjitha gabimet gjat\u00eb sh\u00ebrbimit t\u00eb tij. N\u00eb Kishinau u p\u00ebrfshi nga ethet e fermentimit politik dhe u bashkua me nism\u00ebtar\u00ebt e Bashkimit t\u00eb Popullit Rus. Por ajo l\u00ebvizje, n\u00eb vend q\u00eb t\u00eb forconte monarkin\u00eb ruse, e diskreditoi at\u00eb n\u00eb syt\u00eb e njer\u00ebzve. Hierarkut nuk i p\u00eblqeu kurr\u00eb as Revolucioni i Shkurtit, as Revolucioni i Tetorit, as idet\u00eb e tyre. S\u00eb shpejti, me veprimet e klerit armiq\u00ebsor dhe me nd\u00ebrmjet\u00ebsimin e autoriteteve bolshevik, ai u d\u00ebbua nga provinca Tver. P\u00ebr ta mbrojtur at\u00eb, Patriarku Tihoni vendosi ta d\u00ebrgonte n\u00eb selin\u00eb e Varshav\u00ebs dhe rajonit t\u00eb Vistula. Por Lufta Civile dhe Lufta Sovjeto-Polake bllokuan rrug\u00ebn dhe e penguan at\u00eb t\u00eb arrinte n\u00eb provinc\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb re. Ai q\u00ebndroi n\u00eb Mosk\u00eb, ku t\u00eb af\u00ebrmit dhe miqt\u00eb e vizituan, duke e mb\u00ebshtetur n\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira. N\u00eb vitin 1921 arrestohet dhe burgoset n\u00eb burgun e Tagank\u00ebs, nga ku u lirua vet\u00ebm vitin e ardhsh\u00ebm. S\u00eb shpejti ai u akuzua p\u00ebrs\u00ebri p\u00ebr krime kund\u00ebr pushtetit sovjetik dhe u internua n\u00eb rajonin e Arkhangelsk p\u00ebr rreth nj\u00eb vit. Pas kthimit nga m\u00ebrgimi, ai u ndal p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb n\u00eb Mosk\u00eb dhe u p\u00ebrpoq t\u00eb pushonte. N\u00eb prill t\u00eb vitit 1924 ai u arrestua p\u00ebrs\u00ebri, me akuz\u00ebn se kishte organizuar kremtimet e madh\u00ebrimit t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Serafimit t\u00eb Sarovit. Fal\u00eb veprimeve t\u00eb Patriarkut Tycho, ai u lirua, por nuk u lejua m\u00eb t\u00eb q\u00ebndronte n\u00eb Mosk\u00eb. Kur e ndaluan edhe vendosjen n\u00eb manastirin e Divejev\u00ebs, iku n\u00eb fshatin Sui, ku u prit me dashuri n\u00eb manastirin e Anastasias dhe Agios Theodhori. N\u00eb vitin 1927 ai u nis p\u00ebr nj\u00eb ministri t\u00eb re pran\u00eb Mitropolitit Sergji, i cili kishte l\u00ebshuar nj\u00eb deklarat\u00eb t\u00eb diskutueshme n\u00eb mb\u00ebshtetje t\u00eb pushtetit sovjetik. N\u00eb pranver\u00ebn e n\u00ebnt\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e nj\u00ebzet e tet\u00eb, si Mitropolit i Leningradit dhe Gdov, ai u kthye n\u00eb qytetin e tij t\u00eb lindjes. Ai mb\u00ebshteti Mitropolitin Sergji, por jo verb\u00ebrisht, as politikat shtet\u00ebrore q\u00eb drejtoheshin kund\u00ebr Zotit dhe Kish\u00ebs s\u00eb Tij. Shenjtori i t\u00ebrboi autoritetet laike si me zellin e tij n\u00eb sh\u00ebrbimet orthodhokse ashtu edhe me predikimin e tij t\u00eb pasur. Predikimi i tij u perceptua m\u00eb pas si propagand\u00eb anti-sovjetike dhe u konsiderua e rrezikshme p\u00ebr regjimin. N\u00ebnt\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e tridhjet\u00eb e dy u sh\u00ebnuan nga arrestimet masive t\u00eb klerik\u00ebve dhe murgjve n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb Rusin\u00eb. Armiq\u00ebsia e autoriteteve ndaj tij u intensifikua, nd\u00ebrsa sh\u00ebndeti i tij tashm\u00eb ishte p\u00ebrkeq\u00ebsuar r\u00ebnd\u00eb p\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb gjyqeve. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb k\u00ebta faktor\u00eb e \u00e7uan shenjtorin n\u00eb largimin e detyruar nga sh\u00ebrbimi i lart\u00eb prift\u00ebror aktiv n\u00eb tetor 1933. Por erdhi viti i p\u00ebrgjaksh\u00ebm n\u00ebnt\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e tridhjet\u00eb e shtat\u00eb dhe n\u00eb shtator u arrestua p\u00ebr her\u00eb t\u00eb fundit. Nuk u vinte keq p\u00ebr t\u00eb as p\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb mosh\u00ebs s\u00eb shtyr\u00eb dhe as p\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb gjendjes s\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb sh\u00ebndet\u00ebsore. M\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e tet\u00eb n\u00ebntor ai u d\u00ebnua nga trojka e NKVD dhe u ekzekutua n\u00eb poligonin e qitjes Butovo. Thuhet se dit\u00ebn e vdekjes s\u00eb tij ishte profetizuar nga Sh\u00ebn Joanii i Kronstandit, duke i th\u00ebn\u00eb atij t\u00eb kujtonte dit\u00ebn e Tre Hierark\u00ebve. Q\u00eb at\u00ebher\u00eb, Sh\u00ebn Serafimi po p\u00ebrgatitej p\u00ebr vdekje, si nj\u00eb ushtar i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb i Krishtit dhe nj\u00eb martir i besimit. Ai u shpall i shenjt\u00eb nga Sinodi i Ipeshkvijve t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs Ruse n\u00eb Mosk\u00eb.
