Para se t\u00eb lindte, n\u00ebna e tij pa n\u00eb nj\u00eb vegim nj\u00eb qengj me qirinj t\u00eb ndezur n\u00eb brir\u00ebt e tij, nj\u00eb shenj\u00eb e dhuratave t\u00eb tij t\u00eb ardhshme. Ai k\u00ebrkoi nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb izoluar dhe u ngjit n\u00eb nj\u00eb mal t\u00eb eg\u00ebr n\u00eb jug t\u00eb qytetit. Atje ai zbuloi p\u00ebr mrekulli nj\u00eb burim dhe po p\u00ebrgatitej t\u00eb nd\u00ebrtonte nj\u00eb kish\u00eb t\u00eb vog\u00ebl dhe nj\u00eb qeli. Ishte nj\u00eb varrez\u00eb e lasht\u00eb plot me varre dhe tempuj pagan\u00eb, ku folen\u00eb demon\u00ebt dhe askush nuk guxonte t\u00eb kalonte. N\u00eb nj\u00eb shtyll\u00eb ishte nj\u00eb statuj\u00eb e nj\u00eb kafshe imagjinare n\u00eb form\u00ebn e nj\u00eb luani dhe nj\u00eb demi s\u00eb bashku. Alypios u ngjit n\u00eb maj\u00eb t\u00eb monumentit dhe thirri se ky do t\u00eb b\u00ebhej vendi i tij i pushimit. Ai u kthye shpejt n\u00eb qytet dhe k\u00ebrkoi nj\u00eb kryq dhe nj\u00eb lev\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb rr\u00ebzuar statuj\u00ebn. Me ndihm\u00ebn e lev\u00ebs ai p\u00ebrmbysi idhullin dhe n\u00eb vend t\u00eb tij ngriti kafsh\u00ebb\u00ebr\u00ebsin Stavros, duke mposhtur demon\u00ebt n\u00eb strofk\u00ebn e tyre. Kur m\u00eb von\u00eb peshkopi e detyroi ta shoq\u00ebronte n\u00eb nj\u00eb udh\u00ebtim te perandori, shenjtori mbeti i fshehur n\u00eb nj\u00eb sht\u00ebpi fisnike t\u00eb Kalqedonit, af\u00ebr detit. Aty Sh\u00ebn Eufemia, patronazja e qytetit, iu shfaq n\u00eb \u00ebnd\u00ebrr dhe e urdh\u00ebroi t\u00eb kthehej n\u00eb atdhe. Ajo gjithashtu i premtoi atij se do t\u00eb mendonte p\u00ebr t\u00eb me ambasadat e saj n\u00eb t\u00eb gjitha pun\u00ebt e tij. Sapo u kthye, me ndihm\u00ebn e miqve dhe bashk\u00ebqytetar\u00ebve t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm, nd\u00ebrtoi n\u00eb mes t\u00eb varreve pagane nj\u00eb kish\u00eb kushtuar martires Eufemia. Para se t\u00eb ngjitej n\u00eb shtyll\u00eb, ai u t\u00ebrhoq n\u00eb nj\u00eb qeli t\u00eb ngusht\u00eb, p\u00ebr t\u00eb pastruar shpirtin e tij me agj\u00ebrim, vigjilje dhe lutje. Ai q\u00ebndroi atje p\u00ebr dy vjet, duke p\u00ebrballuar me qet\u00ebsi sulmet e shpirtrave t\u00eb k\u00ebqij. Shpejt fama e tij u p\u00ebrhap shum\u00eb e gjer\u00eb dhe turma besimtar\u00ebsh u dynd\u00ebn n\u00eb qelin\u00eb e tij p\u00ebr t\u00eb marr\u00eb bekimin e tij. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb, nga f\u00ebmija i vog\u00ebl te plaku, nga i varf\u00ebri te i pasuri, i priti me \u00ebmb\u00eblsi dhe askush nuk mbeti pa ngush\u00ebllim shpirt\u00ebror. Nd\u00ebrsa d\u00ebshmor\u00ebt vuajt\u00ebn p\u00ebr disa or\u00eb, ai d\u00ebshmoi \u00e7do dit\u00eb p\u00ebr plot pes\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e tre vjet. Demon\u00ebt, t\u00eb t\u00ebrbuar nga q\u00ebndrueshm\u00ebria e tij, e gjuanin me gur\u00eb \u00e7do nat\u00eb. Nj\u00eb her\u00eb ai i k\u00ebrkoi n\u00ebn\u00ebs s\u00eb tij nj\u00eb s\u00ebpat\u00eb dhe vet\u00eb ia rr\u00ebzoi \u00e7atin\u00eb e vog\u00ebl. Ai donte t\u00eb ekspozohej plot\u00ebsisht ndaj sulmeve t\u00eb t\u00eb ligjve, p\u00ebr t\u00eb d\u00ebshmuar si martiri i par\u00eb Stefan. Pastaj demon\u00ebt u larguan nga vendi, duke vajtuar humbjen e tyre. Turma njer\u00ebzish vrapuan drejt shtyll\u00ebs dhe k\u00ebrkuan ambasadat e shenjtorit. Shum\u00eb mbet\u00ebn atje si dishepuj t\u00eb tij dhe iu p\u00ebrkushtuan praktik\u00ebs. Fillimisht erdhi nj\u00eb grua e shquar me emrin Euphimia dhe m\u00eb pas nj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr fisnike, Evvoula, e cila u b\u00eb abate e manastirit t\u00eb grave. N\u00ebna e shenjtorit kishte ndjekur djalin e saj dhe kishte ndihmuar p\u00ebr nevojat e komunitetit. Ajo gjithashtu hyri n\u00eb manastir, megjith\u00ebse n\u00eb fillim hezitoi t\u00eb vishte form\u00ebn e vetmuar. N\u00eb nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb shkurt\u00ebr u mblodh\u00ebn edhe burra rreth tij dhe k\u00ebshtu ai themeloi nj\u00eb manastir t\u00eb dyt\u00eb n\u00eb an\u00ebn tjet\u00ebr t\u00eb shtyll\u00ebs.
