Kur u d\u00ebrguan nj\u00ebqind e pes\u00ebdhjet\u00eb burra t\u00eb armatosur p\u00ebr ta arrestuar, ata dol\u00ebn t\u00eb krishter\u00eb dhe martir\u00eb t\u00eb pag\u00ebzuar. Sh\u00ebn Azis jetoi n\u00eb koh\u00ebn e perandorit Dioklecian dhe vinte nga vendi i Izaur\u00ebve n\u00eb Azin\u00eb e Vog\u00ebl. Ai sh\u00ebrbeu si ushtar n\u00eb ushtrin\u00eb perandorake, por zemra e tij nuk duroi t&#x27;i bindej nj\u00eb mbreti tok\u00ebsor. Ai la arm\u00ebt dhe pozicionin e tij ushtarak dhe u t\u00ebrhoq n\u00eb thell\u00ebsi t\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebs p\u00ebr t\u00eb jetuar vet\u00ebm me Krishtin. Atje, n\u00eb heshtje dhe lutje, Zoti i dha atij dhurata t\u00eb pasura dhe fuqi t\u00eb mrekullueshme. Turma njer\u00ebzish u ngjit\u00ebn n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00eb dhe gjet\u00ebn sh\u00ebrimin nga s\u00ebmundjet e r\u00ebnda dhe \u00e7lirimin nga shpirtrat e k\u00ebqij. Fama e tij u p\u00ebrhap shpejt n\u00eb zonat p\u00ebrreth dhe arriti n\u00eb vesh\u00ebt e disa gjuetar\u00ebve vendas. Ata e denoncuan at\u00eb tek autoritetet si nj\u00eb ndjek\u00ebs i besimit t\u00eb ndaluar t\u00eb krishter\u00eb. Prefekti i Isauris\u00eb, Akylinus, vendosi menj\u00ebher\u00eb ta sillte para tij p\u00ebr ta marr\u00eb n\u00eb pyetje dhe p\u00ebr ta d\u00ebnuar. K\u00ebshtu Aquilinus d\u00ebrgoi nj\u00ebqind e pes\u00ebdhjet\u00eb ushtar\u00eb, t\u00eb armatosur dhe t\u00eb vendosur, p\u00ebr t\u00eb kapur vetmitarin n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebn e madhe. E gjet\u00ebn n\u00eb qelin\u00eb e tij t\u00eb p\u00ebrulur dhe e kap\u00ebn pa b\u00ebr\u00eb as m\u00eb t\u00eb voglin rezistenc\u00eb. Por n\u00eb kthim, vapa e shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebs i lodhi dhe etja u b\u00eb e padurueshme. Rreth tyre nuk kishte asnj\u00eb burim, p\u00ebrrua apo pik\u00eb uji p\u00ebr t&#x27;u freskuar. Me zemrat e tyre hapur, ata i k\u00ebrkuan shenjtorit t&#x27;u m\u00ebsonte besimin dhe t&#x27;i pag\u00ebzonte. Azisi i m\u00ebsoi me dashuri dhe i pag\u00ebzoi t\u00eb gjith\u00eb n\u00eb ujin q\u00eb doli nga lutja e tij. M\u00eb pas ai i nxiti t\u00eb mos i binden urdhrit t\u00eb zot\u00ebrve t\u00eb tyre, por ta sillnin si\u00e7 duhet para prefektit. Kur arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb qytet, Sh\u00ebn Azis q\u00ebndroi me guxim p\u00ebrpara Akylinus dhe rr\u00ebfeu hapur besimin e tij n\u00eb Krishtin. Me t\u00eb q\u00ebndruan nj\u00ebqind e pes\u00ebdhjet\u00eb ushtar\u00eb, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt deklaruan me nj\u00eb z\u00eb se tani ishin t\u00eb krishter\u00eb. Prefekti u t\u00ebrbua nga zem\u00ebrimi dhe urdh\u00ebroi t\u00eb fillonin martirizimet p\u00ebr t\u00eb p\u00ebrkulur Shenjtorin. Ata urdh\u00ebruan t&#x27;i grisnin mishin me kthetra hekuri dhe ta torturonin r\u00ebnd\u00eb. Pastaj e lidh\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb rrot\u00eb dhe ndez\u00ebn nj\u00eb zjarr t\u00eb madh posht\u00eb p\u00ebr ta djegur. Por flaka, sapo kishte ngritur shk\u00eblqimin e saj, u shua papritur nga fuqia e Zotit. Sh\u00ebn mbeti i pad\u00ebmtuar dhe p\u00ebrl\u00ebvdoi Zotin n\u00eb torturat e tij t\u00eb tmerrshme. Kjo mrekulli tronditi gruan dhe vajz\u00ebn e vet\u00eb Akylinus, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt po shikonin sken\u00ebn. Ata gjithashtu besuan n\u00eb Krishtin dhe rr\u00ebfyen publikisht besimin e tyre para turm\u00ebs. Prefekti, i verbuar nga inati dhe turpi, urdh\u00ebroi menj\u00ebher\u00eb prerjen e kok\u00ebs s\u00eb gruas dhe vajz\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. Nj\u00ebqind e pes\u00ebdhjet\u00eb ushtar\u00ebt, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt pak m\u00eb par\u00eb kishin marr\u00eb pag\u00ebzimin e shenjt\u00eb n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00eb, u \u00e7uan n\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin d\u00ebnim. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb s\u00eb bashku ul\u00ebn qaf\u00ebn n\u00ebn shpat\u00eb, zemrat e tyre plot g\u00ebzim dhe pritje t\u00eb mbret\u00ebris\u00eb qiellore. Nj\u00eb batalion i t\u00ebr\u00eb ushtar\u00ebsh u b\u00ebn\u00eb brenda nj\u00eb dite valle martir\u00ebsh, bashk\u00eb me n\u00ebn\u00ebn dhe vajz\u00ebn e vet\u00eb p\u00ebrndjek\u00ebsit t\u00eb tyre. Akylinus, duke par\u00eb q\u00eb Agios Azis ishte ende gjall\u00eb, urdh\u00ebroi tortura t\u00eb reja dhe m\u00eb t\u00eb tmerrshme kund\u00ebr tij. D\u00ebshmori duroi gjith\u00e7ka me besim t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur dhe lutje t\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb drejtuar Dh\u00ebndrit t\u00eb shpirtit t\u00eb tij. M\u00eb n\u00eb fund, pasi t\u00eb gjitha p\u00ebrpjekjet e prefektit d\u00ebshtuan p\u00ebr ta p\u00ebrkulur, u dha vendimi i fundit. Sh\u00ebn Azis iu pre koka dhe e dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin e tij t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb n\u00eb duart e Krishtit. Kisha e nderon kujtimin e tij n\u00eb n\u00ebnt\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb n\u00ebntor t\u00eb \u00e7do viti me shum\u00eb entuziaz\u00ebm. N\u00eb himnet e shenjta ai krahasohet me nj\u00eb dre t\u00eb etur q\u00eb vraponte drejt shpat\u00ebs si nj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr me nj\u00eb burim uji.
