Pran\u00eb tij, pak m\u00eb von\u00eb, do t\u00eb q\u00ebndronte i af\u00ebrmi i tij Alfeu, nj\u00eb lexues i ri q\u00eb kishte hyr\u00eb n\u00eb turm\u00ebn e dezertor\u00ebve dhe i kishte t\u00ebrhequr nga altar\u00ebt pagan\u00eb. Ngjarjet vendosen n\u00eb vitet e Dioklecianit, kur persekutimi ndaj t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve kishte arritur n\u00eb form\u00ebn e tij m\u00eb mizore. Pran\u00eb p\u00ebrfundimit t\u00eb nj\u00ebzet vjetorit t\u00eb mbret\u00ebrimit t\u00eb perandorit, ishte zakon q\u00eb t\u00eb liroheshin t\u00eb burgosurit nga burgjet provinciale. Sidoqoft\u00eb, sundimtari vendas, megjith\u00ebse liroi kriminel\u00ebt m\u00eb t\u00eb rreziksh\u00ebm, ishte ve\u00e7an\u00ebrisht i zem\u00ebruar me besimtar\u00ebt. N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb klim\u00eb tmerri dhe dob\u00ebsie njer\u00ebzore, dy martir\u00ebt ngrit\u00ebn z\u00ebrin me guxim dhe dhan\u00eb nj\u00eb d\u00ebshmi t\u00eb gjall\u00eb, t\u00eb qart\u00eb dhe t\u00eb pakompromis para magjistrat\u00ebve dhe pagan\u00ebve t\u00eb Cezares\u00eb. Zakeu sh\u00ebrbeu si dhjak n\u00eb kish\u00ebn Gadariane dhe ishte i njohur p\u00ebr devotshm\u00ebrin\u00eb dhe p\u00ebrkushtimin e tij ndaj pun\u00ebs liturgjike t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs. Kur e arrestuan dhe e \u00e7uan t\u00eb lidhur p\u00ebrpara gjykat\u00ebs, zyrtar\u00ebt e pyet\u00ebn n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb t\u00eb fsheht\u00eb p\u00ebr besimin e tij dhe prit\u00ebn q\u00eb t\u00eb falej. Fillimisht e fshikulluan pa m\u00ebshir\u00eb me shkopinj, m\u00eb pas ia gris\u00ebn mishin me kthetra hekuri dhe m\u00eb n\u00eb fund ia lidh\u00ebn k\u00ebmb\u00ebt n\u00eb nj\u00eb instrument t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb torture prej druri. Brenda burgut e lan\u00eb kat\u00ebr dit\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00ebra n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb dru torturues, pa pushim dhe pa rehati. Por shenjtori i duroi me guxim t\u00eb gjitha sprovat dhe lutej pa pushim, duke e prer\u00eb shpirtin n\u00eb shpres\u00ebn e jet\u00ebs s\u00eb p\u00ebrjetshme q\u00eb Zoti u kishte premtuar martir\u00ebve t\u00eb tij. Nd\u00ebrsa Zakeu po gjykohej n\u00eb burg, ata soll\u00ebn n\u00eb kriter edhe nj\u00eb rr\u00ebfimtar t\u00eb dyt\u00eb, Alfeun. Ai vinte nga nj\u00eb familje eminente e Eleftheroupolis palestineze dhe ishte i af\u00ebrm i dhjakut Zakeus, i lidhur me t\u00eb me lidhje gjaku dhe besimi. Ai i sh\u00ebrbeu kish\u00ebs s\u00eb Cezares\u00eb si lexues dhe u shqua p\u00ebr zellin e tij p\u00ebr lavdin\u00eb e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb. Kur shp\u00ebrtheu persekutimi mizor i Dioklecianit, shum\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00eb u p\u00ebrkul\u00ebn para torturave dhe pranuan t&#x27;u b\u00ebnin flijime idhujve. Alfeu nuk mund ta duronte k\u00ebt\u00eb pamje t\u00eb tradhtis\u00eb dhe vrapoi me guxim n\u00eb turm\u00ebn e dezertor\u00ebve. Ai iu lut me lot dhe u tha me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb q\u00eb t\u00eb mos e ndotinin shpirtin e tyre me flijimet e pabes\u00eb t\u00eb idhujve. Nd\u00ebrhyrja e tij t\u00ebrboi pagan\u00ebt, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt e arrestuan menj\u00ebher\u00eb dhe e \u00e7uan me zinxhir\u00eb n\u00eb burg. Pas disa dit\u00ebsh ai u t\u00ebrhoq zvarr\u00eb n\u00eb gjykat\u00eb, ku rr\u00ebfeu Zotin para gjyqtar\u00ebve me t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn paturp\u00ebsi. Ekzekutuesit i n\u00ebnshtruan Alfeut t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtat tortura q\u00eb kishte vuajtur i af\u00ebrmi i tij Zakeu. E rrah\u00ebn me shkopinj, i k\u00ebput\u00ebn an\u00ebt me kthetra hekuri dhe plag\u00ebt e hapura n\u00eb trup i dogj\u00ebn me zjarr. Pastaj e lidh\u00ebn n\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin instrument druri me Zakeun e drejt\u00eb, q\u00eb t\u00eb dy t\u00eb af\u00ebrmit t\u00eb vuanin s\u00eb bashku barr\u00ebn e martirizimit. Gjat\u00eb gjith\u00eb nat\u00ebs dhe t\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen dy d\u00ebshmor\u00ebt q\u00ebndruan n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb pozit\u00eb t\u00eb dhimbshme, pa pushuar asnj\u00eb \u00e7ast s\u00eb luturi dhe madh\u00ebruar Zotin. Secili mb\u00ebshteti tjetrin me fjal\u00eb besimi dhe durimi, duke shk\u00ebmbyer kuraj\u00eb dhe shpres\u00eb p\u00ebr mbret\u00ebrin\u00eb e p\u00ebrjetshme.
