Kur m\u00eb von\u00eb iu dha nj\u00eb shtiz\u00eb dhe e urdh\u00ebruan t\u00eb vriste priftin e vjet\u00ebr Jozef, ajo u p\u00ebrgjigj se m\u00eb mir\u00eb do t\u00eb shponte zemr\u00ebn e saj. Sh\u00ebn Sandoulia jetoi n\u00eb Persi n\u00eb koh\u00ebn e persekutimeve mizore kund\u00ebr t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve. Emri i saj p\u00ebrmendet n\u00eb martirologjin\u00eb e plakut Jozef dhe dhjakut Aithala, nd\u00ebrsa historiani Sozomenos i p\u00ebrshkruan ato martirizime n\u00eb Historin\u00eb e tij kishtare. Sandoulia vinte nga qyteti i Arvil\u00ebs dhe jetonte me besim dhe dashuri t\u00eb thell\u00eb p\u00ebr v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit e saj. Ai e kishte zakon t\u00eb vizitonte ata q\u00eb po torturoheshin n\u00ebp\u00ebr burgje p\u00ebr emrin e Krishtit. Ai kujdesej q\u00eb t&#x27;i ngush\u00ebllonte, t&#x27;i p\u00ebrk\u00ebdhelte dhe t&#x27;ua leht\u00ebsonte plag\u00ebt n\u00eb \u00e7do m\u00ebnyr\u00eb. K\u00ebshtu, kur m\u00ebsoi se plaku Jozef dhe dhjaku Aithalas ishin futur n\u00eb burg, vendosi menj\u00ebher\u00eb t\u00eb nxitonte drejt tyre pa hezitim. Ajo mori me vete sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtor\u00ebt e saj, marshoi n\u00eb burg n\u00eb err\u00ebsir\u00eb \u200b\u200bdhe u dha ar rojeve. Ata ran\u00eb dakord q\u00eb t&#x27;i dor\u00ebzonin dy d\u00ebshmor\u00ebt deri n\u00eb agim, me kusht q\u00eb ajo t&#x27;i kthente. Shenjtor\u00ebt ishin gjysm\u00eb t\u00eb vdekur nga torturat, nuk flisnin dot as nga dhimbjet. Sandoulia i \u00e7oi n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e saj me kujdes dhe i shtriu n\u00eb shtret\u00ebr t\u00eb past\u00ebr. Ai lau plag\u00ebt e tyre, ua kujdesi plag\u00ebt dhe i p\u00ebrqafoi me lot n\u00eb duart dhe k\u00ebmb\u00ebt e tyre t\u00eb mavijosura. Pas pak, plaku Jozef erdhi n\u00eb vete dhe pa Sandulia duke vajtuar pran\u00eb tij. T\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen n\u00eb m\u00ebngjes Sandoulia i ktheu dy shenjtor\u00ebt n\u00eb burg, si\u00e7 u kishte premtuar gardian\u00ebve. U desh\u00ebn rreth gjasht\u00eb muaj para se plag\u00ebt e tyre t\u00eb sh\u00ebroheshin disi dhe ata u kthyen n\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00eb. Tani ata mund t\u00eb ecnin pak, por duart e dhjakut Aithala vareshin t\u00eb paralizuara dhe t\u00eb padobishme n\u00eb krah\u00ebt e tij. N\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb, n\u00eb qytet u em\u00ebrua nj\u00eb gjykat\u00ebs i ri, Zerothis, i cili hyri n\u00eb Arvel\u00eb duke ofruar flijime n\u00eb tempujt pagan\u00eb. Disa prift\u00ebrinj t\u00eb idhujve i fol\u00ebn atij p\u00ebr Jozefin dhe Aithal\u00ebn, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt tashm\u00eb ishin torturuar me urdh\u00ebr t\u00eb Ardasavore, kreut t\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb magjistar\u00ebve t\u00eb Persis\u00eb. Madje, ata i shpjeguan se ekzekutimi i tyre ishte shtyr\u00eb derisa t\u00eb sh\u00ebroheshin nga plag\u00ebt e tmerrshme. Sapo d\u00ebgjoi k\u00ebto fjal\u00eb, Zerothis urdh\u00ebroi menj\u00ebher\u00eb t&#x27;i sillnin para tij dy martir\u00ebt e Krishtit. N\u00eb fillim ai u p\u00ebrpoq me lajka dhe premtime t\u00eb rreme t&#x27;i bindte ata t\u00eb b\u00ebnin flijime p\u00ebr per\u00ebndit\u00eb e Persian\u00ebve. Kur pa se shenjtor\u00ebt mbet\u00ebn t\u00eb patundur, iu drejtua k\u00ebrc\u00ebnimeve t\u00eb tmerrshme dhe m\u00eb pas urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t&#x27;i rrihnin p\u00ebrs\u00ebri r\u00ebnd\u00eb. N\u00eb pyetje t\u00eb m\u00ebtejshme, Zerothis u p\u00ebrpoq t&#x27;i detyronte shenjtor\u00ebt t\u00eb hanin ushqimin q\u00eb u ishte ofruar idhujve, por ata refuzuan me vendosm\u00ebri. Pastaj gjykat\u00ebsi urdh\u00ebroi rrahje t\u00eb reja dhe urdh\u00ebroi t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt e tjer\u00eb t\u00eb vrisnin me gur\u00eb dy martir\u00ebt. Ushtar\u00ebt u v\u00ebrsul\u00ebn drejt sht\u00ebpive t\u00eb besimtar\u00ebve dhe i t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn zvarr\u00eb me forc\u00eb n\u00eb vendin e kriz\u00ebs. Ata hap\u00ebn nj\u00eb grop\u00eb n\u00eb tok\u00eb, fut\u00ebn priftin e vjet\u00ebr Jozef brenda dhe i detyruan t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt t\u00eb mbanin gur\u00eb n\u00eb duar. N\u00eb mesin e atyre besimtar\u00ebve t\u00eb shqet\u00ebsuar ishte edhe Sh\u00ebn Sandoulia, sipas rr\u00ebfimit t\u00eb martirizimit. Por ajo refuzoi me vendosm\u00ebri t\u00eb hidhte qoft\u00eb edhe nj\u00eb gur t\u00eb vet\u00ebm kund\u00ebr presbiterit t\u00eb vjet\u00ebr t\u00eb Krishtit. M\u00eb pas ekzekutor\u00ebt i vun\u00eb nj\u00eb shtiz\u00eb n\u00eb duar dhe e urdh\u00ebruan q\u00eb t\u00eb vriste vet\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Jozefin. Gruaja e guximshme u p\u00ebrgjigj se m\u00eb mir\u00eb do t\u00eb fuste shtiz\u00ebn n\u00eb zemr\u00ebn e saj sesa ta l\u00ebndonte at\u00eb. K\u00ebshtu plaku Jozef u vra me gur\u00eb dhe n\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn m\u00ebnyr\u00eb u martirizua edhe dhjaku Aithalas.
