P\u00ebr m\u00eb shum\u00eb se nj\u00eb shekull, kjo figur\u00eb e shenjt\u00eb udh\u00ebtoi n\u00ebp\u00ebr grabitje, magazina dhe qytete t\u00eb huaja, derisa u kthye n\u00eb atdhe. Ikona e Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs me titullin e rrall\u00eb Ponolytria \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb nga reliket m\u00eb t\u00eb vlefshme t\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb tok\u00ebs Serrai. B\u00ebhet fjal\u00eb p\u00ebr nj\u00eb skulptur\u00eb mermeri, ku Hyjlind\u00ebse paraqitet me fytyr\u00eb p\u00ebrpara, me duart e ngritura n\u00eb lutje. Shumica e studiuesve e datojn\u00eb relievin n\u00eb shekullin e nj\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb pas Krishtit, n\u00eb kulmin e artit bizantin. Kujtimi i saj p\u00ebrkujtohet \u00e7do vit m\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e tet\u00eb tetor, dit\u00eb n\u00eb t\u00eb cil\u00ebn Kisha kremton edhe Sh\u00ebn Skepin e Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs. Vet\u00eb emri Ponolytria nxjerr n\u00eb pah besimin e thell\u00eb t\u00eb Serresit, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt pan\u00eb n\u00eb form\u00ebn e Hyjlind\u00ebses n\u00ebn\u00ebn q\u00eb zgjidh dhimbjet dhe brengat. K\u00ebshtu, ky imazh u b\u00eb p\u00ebr besimtar\u00ebt e qytetit palladiumi i shenjt\u00eb, kujdestari dhe ngush\u00ebllimi i tyre. Vendndodhja aktuale e ikon\u00ebs nuk ishte ajo origjinale, pasi fillimisht ishte brenda tempullit si nj\u00eb pelegrinazh fetar. N\u00eb koh\u00ebn bizantine dhe deri n\u00eb fund t\u00eb shekullit XV, imazhet prej mermeri t\u00eb Hyjlind\u00ebs dhe t\u00eb Krishtit u vendos\u00ebn n\u00eb pilastrat e Hapit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb. Pik\u00ebrisht aty ikona e Ponolytrias ishte menduar p\u00ebr adhurim n\u00eb tempullin e Shenjtor\u00ebve Theodhori. Gjith\u00e7ka ndryshoi n\u00eb nj\u00eb mij\u00eb e gjasht\u00ebqind e dy, kur Theofani, nj\u00eb njeri i devotsh\u00ebm, miq\u00ebsor dhe i vendosur n\u00eb fjal\u00ebn e tij, mori detyr\u00ebn e Mitropolitit t\u00eb ri t\u00eb Serr\u00ebs. Ai vet\u00eb rind\u00ebrtoi nga themelet murin per\u00ebndimor t\u00eb narteksit, b\u00ebri tend\u00ebn dhe ndau gjinekonitin. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb, ai z\u00ebvend\u00ebsoi ikonostasin e vjet\u00ebr prej mermeri me nj\u00eb ikonostas t\u00eb ri t\u00eb gdhendur n\u00eb dru, nj\u00eb nga t\u00eb par\u00ebt q\u00eb u nd\u00ebrtua n\u00eb kishat n\u00eb Greqin\u00eb Veriore. Ikonostasi i ri mb\u00ebshtetej n\u00eb bazamente p\u00ebrball\u00eb harkut t\u00eb triumfit, q\u00eb mbulonte pilastrat lindor\u00eb t\u00eb shenjt\u00ebrores. K\u00ebshtu q\u00eb ikona e Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs duhej t\u00eb zhvendosej nga pozicioni i saj origjinal dhe t\u00eb gjente nj\u00eb \u00e7ati t\u00eb re. M\u00eb pas peshkopi Theofanis e murosi n\u00eb murin per\u00ebndimor t\u00eb sapond\u00ebrtuar t\u00eb narteksit, n\u00eb nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb duksh\u00ebm p\u00ebr besimtar\u00ebt. P\u00ebrfshirja e simboleve dhe imazheve t\u00eb shenjta pasqyron besimet e lashta t\u00eb popullit ton\u00eb, sipas t\u00eb cilave simbolet e ngulitura mbrojn\u00eb \u00e7do vep\u00ebr njer\u00ebzore. K\u00ebshtu edhe n\u00eb rastin e tempullit t\u00eb Shenjtors Theodhori, Hyjlind\u00ebse u vendos aty me pritshm\u00ebrin\u00eb e pal\u00ebkundur t\u00eb mbrojtjes. Serrai besonte se Hyjlind\u00ebse me shenjt\u00ebrin\u00eb dhe integritetin e qenies s\u00eb saj do t\u00eb mbronte qytetin. Mbi t\u00eb gjitha, kujtimi ishte i fresk\u00ebt nga grabitja e tempullit t\u00eb fundit nga turqit, q\u00eb kishte ndodhur vet\u00ebm tridhjet\u00eb vjet m\u00eb par\u00eb, n\u00eb 1571. Njer\u00ebzit k\u00ebrkuan nj\u00eb mburoj\u00eb dhe Ponolytria q\u00ebndroi si nj\u00eb roje e heshtur gjat\u00eb shekujve. I thyer n\u00eb gjysm\u00eb p\u00ebrgjat\u00eb dimensionit t\u00eb tij horizontal, imazhi q\u00ebndroi n\u00eb vend n\u00eb murin per\u00ebndimor p\u00ebr m\u00eb shum\u00eb se tre shekuj. Aty q\u00ebndroi deri n\u00eb fillim t\u00eb vitit 1917, kur shp\u00ebrtheu nj\u00eb gjyq i ri p\u00ebr qytetin. M\u00eb kat\u00ebrmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb janar t\u00eb po k\u00ebtij viti, Mitropoliti i Serres Apostull Christodoulou ra n\u00eb gjum\u00eb dhe qyteti u zhyt n\u00eb zi. Menj\u00ebher\u00eb pas vdekjes s\u00eb tij, pushtuesit bullgar\u00eb vazhduan me pla\u00e7kitjen e gjer\u00eb t\u00eb kishave t\u00eb Serr\u00ebs, pa asnj\u00eb penges\u00eb dhe respekt. Bullgar\u00ebt me kujdes t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb hoq\u00ebn ikon\u00ebn e Ponolytrias nga muri per\u00ebndimor i tempullit t\u00eb Shenjtor\u00ebve Theodhori. E ruanin bashk\u00eb me pla\u00e7k\u00ebn tjet\u00ebr n\u00eb nj\u00eb sht\u00ebpi aty pran\u00eb, e cila p\u00ebrdorej nga trupat pushtuese si depo racioni p\u00ebr garnizonin. Ata me sa duket kishin planifikuar ta \u00e7onin n\u00eb Bullgari si nj\u00eb pla\u00e7k\u00eb t\u00eb vlefshme bashk\u00eb me thesaret e tjera t\u00eb qytetit. Por fluturimi i tyre i nxituar e prishi at\u00eb plan dhe ikona mbeti pas n\u00eb tok\u00ebn serraike. Dy vjet m\u00eb von\u00eb, n\u00eb vitin 1919, ikona e menduar e humbur u gjet s\u00ebrish n\u00eb qytet. M\u00eb pas u transferua me nderime n\u00eb tempullin Mitropolitan t\u00eb Brigadave, p\u00ebr t\u00eb vazhduar adhurimin e tij nderues nga besimtar\u00ebt. Megjithat\u00eb, aventura e saj nuk kishte mbaruar, pasi historia kishte nj\u00eb prov\u00eb tjet\u00ebr p\u00ebr reliken e shenjt\u00eb. Gjat\u00eb pushtimit t\u00eb tret\u00eb bullgar, n\u00eb tetor 1941, pushtuesit e hoq\u00ebn p\u00ebrs\u00ebri. P\u00ebr dekada Ponolytria ishte e panjohur dhe askush nuk e dinte se cili ishte fati i figur\u00ebs s\u00eb shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs. Vitet e fundit ikona m\u00eb n\u00eb fund u vendos n\u00eb qytetin fqinj Drama, mes relikeve t\u00eb tjera historike t\u00eb rajonit. Me veprimet e Pastorit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb Serres Teologut dhe ndihm\u00ebn e mir\u00ebfillt\u00eb t\u00eb Mitropolitit t\u00eb Dram\u00ebs Pavllo, u p\u00ebrfundua kthimi. Ikona e shenjt\u00eb u kthye p\u00ebrs\u00ebri n\u00eb panteon, t\u00eb cilin me shekuj e shenjt\u00ebroi me pranin\u00eb e saj. Ajo u vendos k\u00ebt\u00eb her\u00eb n\u00eb shtyll\u00ebn e majt\u00eb n\u00eb lindje t\u00eb Hapit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb, brenda tempullit t\u00eb Shenjtors Theodhori. Me fjal\u00eb t\u00eb tjera, ajo u kthye pik\u00ebrisht n\u00eb pozicionin ku ishte si ikon\u00eb kulti deri n\u00eb vitin 1622, para se t\u00eb zhvendosej nga peshkopi Theofanis. K\u00ebshtu u mbyll nj\u00eb cik\u00ebl shekullor dhe Hyjlind\u00ebse Ponolytria e gjeti s\u00ebrish sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e saj origjinale brenda Vim\u00ebs s\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb. P\u00ebr t\u00eb nderuar si\u00e7 duhet k\u00ebt\u00eb rikthim madh\u00ebshtor, \u00e7do vit organizohej nj\u00eb fest\u00eb zyrtare dhe gjith\u00ebp\u00ebrfshir\u00ebse e tij. Kujtimi i saj ishte caktuar t\u00eb kremtohej m\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e tet\u00eb tetor, bashk\u00eb me fest\u00ebn e Sh\u00ebn Skepit t\u00eb Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs. Ekuipazhi i Serrait q\u00eb at\u00ebher\u00eb jan\u00eb mbledhur rreth form\u00ebs s\u00eb saj prej mermeri dhe kan\u00eb k\u00ebnduar me emocion dhe nderim t\u00eb thell\u00eb.
