I nj\u00ebjti profet e thirri popullin e Izraelit t\u00eb pendohej kur karkalecat dhe that\u00ebsira po shkat\u00ebrronin tok\u00ebn e Judes\u00eb. B\u00ebhet fjal\u00eb p\u00ebr profetin Joel, birin e Bathuelit, i cili jetoi rreth tet\u00ebqind para Krishtit. Sipas tradit\u00ebs s\u00eb lasht\u00eb, t\u00eb ruajtur nga Sh\u00ebn Efraimi Sirian, Sh\u00ebn Epifani dhe Dorotheu, profeti erdhi nga rajoni p\u00ebrtej Jordanit. At\u00ebher\u00eb Joeli u ngrit me fuqi dhe i thirri popullit q\u00eb t\u00eb kthehej me gjith\u00eb zem\u00ebr te Per\u00ebndia i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb.
