Sh\u00ebn Domna Karpovna lindi n\u00eb fillim t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb n\u00ebnt\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb familje fisnike n\u00eb Ukrain\u00ebn qendrore. Ajo mbeti jetime n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb vog\u00ebl dhe u rrit n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e tezes, e cila u kujdes q\u00eb t&#x27;i jepte nj\u00eb edukim t\u00eb shk\u00eblqyer. P\u00ebr shkak se ajo nuk kishte me vete dokument identifikimi, autoritetet e arrestuan. Ajo u internua n\u00eb Siberi dhe k\u00ebshtu p\u00ebrfundoi duke jetuar n\u00eb qytetin e Tomsk n\u00eb tok\u00ebn e madhe ruse. N\u00eb Tomsk, Domna mori p\u00ebrsip\u00ebr luft\u00ebn e r\u00ebnd\u00eb t\u00eb maturis\u00eb s\u00eb saj n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet Krishtit dhe nuk pati kurr\u00eb nj\u00eb sht\u00ebpi t\u00eb p\u00ebrhershme. Ajo kalonte dit\u00eb e net\u00eb n\u00eb natyr\u00eb, me rroba t\u00eb p\u00ebrziera dhe t\u00eb p\u00ebrmasave t\u00eb ndryshme, t\u00eb varura n\u00eb trupin e saj pothuajse t\u00eb zhveshur. Mbi t\u00eb ajo mbante \u00e7anta t\u00eb ndryshme t\u00eb mbushura me copa xhami, temjan, buk\u00eb, sheqer, k\u00ebpuc\u00eb, litar\u00eb dhe gur\u00eb. Ajo vazhdoi t&#x27;i num\u00ebronte ato n\u00eb vend t\u00eb nj\u00eb rruzare dhe k\u00ebshtu fshehu nga syt\u00eb e njeriut lutjen e saj t\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb. Kur njer\u00ebzit e mir\u00eb i jepnin pallto n\u00eb dimrat e ashp\u00ebr siberian, ajo i pranoi me mir\u00ebnjohje dhe buz\u00ebqeshje. Por disa or\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb ajo ia dha ato nj\u00eb t\u00eb varf\u00ebri dhe ajo vet\u00eb vazhdoi t\u00eb vuante nga i ftohti i hidhur. Kur m\u00ebsoi se sa e v\u00ebshtir\u00eb ishte p\u00ebr t\u00eb burgosurit n\u00eb komisariatin e Tomskut, filloi t\u00eb ecte mes tyre dhe t&#x27;u k\u00ebndonte k\u00ebng\u00eb shpirt\u00ebrore. Prandaj e arrestuan dhe e mbajt\u00ebn p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb bashk\u00eb me ata t\u00eb munduarit. Kur tregtar\u00ebt e Tomskut, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt e respektonin shum\u00eb, e mor\u00ebn vesh, i soll\u00ebn plot \u00ebmb\u00eblsira, petulla, \u00e7aj dhe sheqer. Domna shp\u00ebrndau me g\u00ebzim gjith\u00e7ka p\u00ebr t\u00eb burgosurit e uritur dhe t\u00eb trishtuar t\u00eb burgut. Shenjtori kujtonte gjithmon\u00eb fjal\u00ebn e Bibl\u00ebs q\u00eb thot\u00eb se i drejti ka m\u00ebshir\u00eb p\u00ebr jet\u00ebn e kafsh\u00ebve t\u00eb tij. Kjo \u00ebsht\u00eb arsyeja pse ai kujdesej me but\u00ebsi p\u00ebr kafsh\u00ebt endacake dhe qent\u00eb kujdestar\u00eb q\u00eb bredhin rrug\u00ebve t\u00eb Tomskut. Ai shpesh i ushqente me gjith\u00e7ka q\u00eb kishte dhe i p\u00eblqente ve\u00e7an\u00ebrisht qent\u00eb, pronar\u00ebt e t\u00eb cil\u00ebve i braktisnin me indiferentiz\u00ebm. Kafsh\u00ebt nga ana e tyre e donin shenjtoren dhe nat\u00ebn shum\u00eb e rrethuan at\u00eb s\u00eb bashku. Edhe mes kafsh\u00ebve memec, Domna Karpovna nuk e harroi kurr\u00eb Zotin dhe N\u00ebn\u00ebn e Tij. Banor\u00ebt e Tomskut shpesh d\u00ebgjonin nat\u00ebn, mes ul\u00ebrit\u00ebs s\u00eb qenve, lutjen e saj q\u00eb arrinte n\u00eb qiell. Ai b\u00ebrtiti me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb: Zoja e Shenjt\u00eb, na shp\u00ebto dhe pastaj n\u00eb heshtje vazhdoi lutjen. Brenda tempullit bekimi u lut me zjarr dhe me thyerje, por vet\u00ebm kur n\u00eb ambiente ishin t\u00eb pranish\u00ebm pak besimtar\u00eb. Nj\u00eb martir d\u00ebshmitar okular tregoi se e pa at\u00eb n\u00eb kish\u00ebz an\u00ebsore duke u gjunj\u00ebzuar dhe duke u lutur me nj\u00eb zjarr t\u00eb paimagjinuesh\u00ebm. Lot\u00ebt i rrodh\u00ebn nga syt\u00eb si dy lumenj dhe shpirti i tij u trondit nga ajo imazh. Por sapo e kuptoi q\u00eb dikush po e shikonte, ajo menj\u00ebher\u00eb filloi t\u00eb sillej s\u00ebrish si sally.
