Shkronjat dhe besimi i par\u00eb u m\u00ebsoi f\u00ebmij\u00ebve nga vet\u00eb n\u00ebna e tyre me zell dhe virtyt. Nikolaos, nj\u00eb nga v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit m\u00eb t\u00eb m\u00ebdhenj t\u00eb Antonios, ishte menduar p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb pozit\u00eb, por ai ishte shum\u00eb i lidhur me gj\u00ebrat e k\u00ebsaj bote dhe nuk mund t\u00eb duronte zgjedh\u00ebn e r\u00ebnd\u00eb t\u00eb jet\u00ebs asketike. P\u00ebrkundrazi, i riu Antonius ishte i apasionuar pas shtetit monastik dhe shpejt mori form\u00ebn engj\u00ebllore. Si murg i ri, ai ndjeu se edukimi i tij shpirt\u00ebror i kishte mbetur i paplot\u00eb dhe k\u00ebrkoi ndihm\u00ebn e baballar\u00ebve t\u00eb manastirit t\u00eb Martvilit n\u00eb Egrisi. Pastaj nj\u00eb grup misionar\u00ebsh francez\u00eb mb\u00ebrrit\u00ebn atje p\u00ebr t&#x27;i m\u00ebsuar atij bazat e filozofis\u00eb skolastike, e cila ishte aq n\u00eb mod\u00eb n\u00eb Evrop\u00eb n\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb. Por Sh\u00ebni kuptoi shpejt se m\u00ebsuesit e tij t\u00eb huaj kishin helmuar m\u00ebsimet orthodhokse me elemente herezie. N\u00eb nj\u00eb vakt ai i b\u00ebri klerikut francez pyetjen e tij t\u00eb famshme p\u00ebr ujin dhe ver\u00ebn. P\u00ebrgjigja e priftit katolik konfirmoi at\u00eb q\u00eb murgu tashm\u00eb e dinte thell\u00eb brenda. Si\u00e7 \u00ebsht\u00eb e pamundur q\u00eb uji dhe vera t\u00eb bashk\u00ebjetojn\u00eb n\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn en\u00eb pa u p\u00ebrzier, ashtu \u00ebsht\u00eb e pamundur t\u00eb bashk\u00ebjetojn\u00eb ortodoksia dhe herezia. Q\u00eb nga ajo dit\u00eb, Sh\u00ebn Antonios u nda p\u00ebrgjithmon\u00eb nga misionar\u00ebt francez\u00eb dhe k\u00ebrkoi dije gjetk\u00eb. Etja e tij p\u00ebr arsim nuk e la t\u00eb qet\u00eb dhe k\u00ebshtu ai udh\u00ebtoi p\u00ebr n\u00eb Tiflis, n\u00eb oborrin e mbretit Heraklion i Dyt\u00eb. Mbret\u00ebresha Darejan ishte kush\u00ebrira e tij, vajza e xhaxhait t\u00eb tij Katsia Dadiani dhe e priti me nder e dashuri. N\u00eb vitin 1761 Sh\u00ebn u shugurua peshkop i Tsagheri n\u00eb Svanetin e Posht\u00ebm. Ai shpejt u b\u00eb i famsh\u00ebm p\u00ebr predikimet e tij elokuente, t\u00eb cilat frym\u00ebzuan edhe vet\u00eb katolikin gjeorgjian. Nga agj\u00ebrimet e shumta, fytyra e tij mori nj\u00eb pamje engj\u00ebllore dhe rrezatonte drit\u00eb t\u00eb brendshme. Me urdh\u00ebr t\u00eb tij t\u00eb shprehur, n\u00eb selin\u00eb e Tskondidit p\u00ebrgatitej \u00e7do dit\u00eb nj\u00eb vakt p\u00ebr t\u00eb varf\u00ebrit e zon\u00ebs. Ky zakon u ruajt me nderim nga t\u00eb gjith\u00eb peshkop\u00ebt e m\u00ebvonsh\u00ebm t\u00eb Tskondidit si nj\u00eb trash\u00ebgimi e shenjt\u00eb. Gjat\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb tet\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb, shum\u00eb feudal\u00eb t\u00eb Gjeorgjis\u00eb per\u00ebndimore, dhe ve\u00e7an\u00ebrisht Egrisi, filluan t\u00eb tregtonin skllev\u00ebr p\u00ebr p\u00ebrfitime. Peshkopi Antoni i rezistoi me guxim k\u00ebsaj praktike \u00e7njer\u00ebzore dhe e denoncoi hapur para t\u00eb gjith\u00ebve. N\u00eb vitet 1792-1794 ai mblodhi nj\u00eb s\u00ebr\u00eb k\u00ebshillash kishtare p\u00ebr t\u00eb d\u00ebnuar publikisht tregtar\u00ebt e skllev\u00ebrve. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb ai u kujdes edhe p\u00ebr manastiret vendase, pasi n\u00eb vitin 1788 miratoi dhurime t\u00eb m\u00ebdha toke p\u00ebr manastiret e Martvilit, Nakharebu dhe Sairme. Madje ai e bindi familjen Dadiani q\u00eb k\u00ebto toka t&#x27;i p\u00ebrjashtonin nga t\u00eb gjitha taksat p\u00ebr t\u00eb mir\u00ebn e v\u00ebllaz\u00ebrive. N\u00eb vitin 1789, tani si metropolit, ai u largua nga Tskondidi dhe u izolua n\u00eb manastirin Naharebou, t\u00eb cilin ai vet\u00eb e kishte nd\u00ebrtuar. Ai e pasuroi manastirin me en\u00eb t\u00eb shenjta, ikona dhe prona t\u00eb lashta dhe atje jetoi vitet e fundit t\u00eb jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij tok\u00ebsore. Ai ra n\u00eb gjum\u00eb n\u00eb Zotin n\u00eb 1815 n\u00eb nj\u00eb mosh\u00eb shum\u00eb t\u00eb vjet\u00ebr dhe u varros n\u00eb manastirin q\u00eb e donte aq shum\u00eb.
