T\u00eb gjith\u00eb peshkop\u00ebt e hoq\u00ebn shikimin, vet\u00ebm Nonnos e Edessa-s e pan\u00eb me lot n\u00eb sy. Ajo jetoi n\u00eb gjysm\u00ebn e dyt\u00eb t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb pest\u00eb dhe ishte b\u00ebr\u00eb kurtizanja m\u00eb e famshme e nj\u00eb qyteti t\u00eb gjer\u00eb lindor. N\u00eb at\u00eb moment Pelagia kaloi para tyre me gjith\u00eb shoq\u00ebrin\u00eb e saj. Nd\u00ebrsa t\u00eb tjer\u00ebt psher\u00ebtiu dhe i shmang\u00ebn syt\u00eb, Nonnos e nguli syt\u00eb deri sa ajo u largua nga syt\u00eb. N\u00eb t\u00eb u zgjua dashuria p\u00ebr Dh\u00ebndrin qiellor, i cili ishte varrosur n\u00ebn m\u00ebkat p\u00ebr kaq shum\u00eb vite. Ajo gjithashtu u dha lirin\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb skllev\u00ebrve t\u00eb saj dhe i dha secilit argjend t\u00eb mjaftuesh\u00ebm p\u00ebr jet\u00ebn e tij. Ajo veshi trupin e saj me rroba burrash dhe mori emrin e murgut Pelagius, p\u00ebr t\u00eb mbetur i panjohur dhe i paduksh\u00ebm.
