Kjo ikon\u00eb e shenjt\u00eb e Hyjlind\u00ebses s\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb u shfaq p\u00ebr her\u00eb t\u00eb par\u00eb n\u00eb principat\u00ebn e Galits, gjat\u00eb viteve t\u00eb princave t\u00eb Terebovlia. Studiuesit e vendosin shfaqjen e saj n\u00eb shekullin e XIII, nd\u00ebrsa disa flasin p\u00ebr nj\u00eb dat\u00eb edhe m\u00eb t\u00eb hershme, n\u00eb shekullin XII. Kur principata e Galicis\u00eb ra n\u00eb shekujt XIII dhe XIV, katolik\u00ebt romak\u00eb u p\u00ebrpoq\u00ebn shum\u00eb her\u00eb ta kapnin ikon\u00ebn dhe ta transferonin n\u00eb kishat e tyre. Besimtar\u00ebt ortodoks\u00eb t\u00eb Galits dhe Terebovlia, megjithat\u00eb, e ruajt\u00ebn ikon\u00ebn me dashuri dhe nderim t\u00eb thell\u00eb. Por n\u00eb muret e qytetit t\u00eb vog\u00ebl, trupat osmane p\u00ebsuan nj\u00eb disfat\u00eb t\u00eb papritur dhe u detyruan t\u00eb t\u00ebrhiqeshin t\u00eb parregullta. Banor\u00ebt ia atribuuan shp\u00ebtimin e tyre mbrojtjes s\u00eb Hyjlind\u00ebses s\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb, e cila gjithmon\u00eb e mbrojti vendin e tyre.
