Sh\u00ebn Kozmai d\u00ebgjoi nga ajo ikon\u00eb Hyjlind\u00ebse vet\u00eb duke iu lutur Birit t\u00eb saj p\u00ebr shp\u00ebtimin e sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtorit t\u00eb saj t\u00eb p\u00ebrulur. Emri i ikon\u00ebs si Epakuousa \u00ebsht\u00eb p\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb nj\u00eb ngjarjeje t\u00eb mrekullueshme q\u00eb ndodhi n\u00eb shekullin e kat\u00ebrmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb n\u00eb malin Athos. Sh\u00ebn Kozmai e ka praktikuar qysh n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb re n\u00eb Manastirin e Zografit, kushtuar lutjes dhe jet\u00ebs s\u00eb vetmuar. Nj\u00eb her\u00eb ai ka vizituar Manastirin e Vatopedit n\u00eb dit\u00ebn e fest\u00ebs s\u00eb Ungjillit, q\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb edhe festa e atij manastiri. Brenda kish\u00ebs gjat\u00eb sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebs, por edhe m\u00eb von\u00eb n\u00eb bank\u00eb, ai pa nj\u00eb grua t\u00eb bukur dhe madh\u00ebshtore, me nj\u00eb prani krejt\u00ebsisht t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb. Murgu i ri u prek thell\u00eb nga kjo pamje, pasi e dinte se asnj\u00eb grua nuk lejohej t\u00eb shkelte n\u00eb Pemishten e Hyjlind\u00ebs. Ajo nuk mund ta kuptonte pse et\u00ebrit e manastirit e toleruan pranin\u00eb e saj. Me k\u00ebto mendime t\u00eb r\u00ebnduara n\u00eb zem\u00ebr, ai u kthye n\u00eb qelin\u00eb e t\u00eb moshuarit, i cili e kuptoi menj\u00ebher\u00eb p\u00ebshtjellimin e vart\u00ebsit t\u00eb tij. Plaku e pyeti me dashuri pse dukej kaq i vrenjtur dhe i thelluar n\u00eb mendime. M\u00eb pas Kozmai i tregoi se \u00e7far\u00eb pa n\u00eb Manastirin e Vatopedit dhe hapi zemr\u00ebn duke i zbuluar t\u00eb gjitha dyshimet. Plaku e pyeti me kujdes se \u00e7far\u00eb lloj gruaje ishte dhe si ishte veshur n\u00eb vendin e shenjt\u00eb. Murgu i ri p\u00ebrshkroi me \u00e7do detaj pamjen e saj, form\u00ebn e saj dhe madh\u00ebshtin\u00eb e pranis\u00eb s\u00eb saj. Plaku r\u00ebnkoi nga dhimbja dhe e kontrolloi ashp\u00ebr dishepullin e tij p\u00ebr naivitetin e tij shpirt\u00ebror. Ai i tha se nuk kujdesej t\u00eb kuptonte se kush ishte n\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb kjo grua q\u00eb u shfaq mes murgjve. Nuk b\u00ebhej fjal\u00eb p\u00ebr nj\u00eb t\u00eb vdeksh\u00ebm t\u00eb zakonsh\u00ebm, por p\u00ebr vet\u00eb Mbret\u00ebresh\u00ebn e Malit Athos dhe t\u00eb gjith\u00eb krijimit. Kosmas u trondit nga fjal\u00ebt e plakut dhe kuptoi se ai meritonte t\u00eb shihte Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebn Mari n\u00eb vend t\u00eb saj. Q\u00eb nga ai moment shpirti i tij digjej nga d\u00ebshira p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjetur rrug\u00ebn e shp\u00ebtimit t\u00eb tij personal. Pas k\u00ebsaj zbulese, p\u00ebr ca koh\u00eb, Sh\u00ebn Kozmai q\u00ebndroi i vet\u00ebm n\u00eb katolikonin e manastirit dhe u lut me zjarr. Sapo shqiptoi k\u00ebto fjal\u00eb, d\u00ebgjoi qart\u00eb z\u00ebrin e Hyjlind\u00ebses q\u00eb vinte nga brenda vet\u00eb ikon\u00ebs. Hyjlind\u00ebse po i k\u00ebrkonte Birit dhe Zotit q\u00eb t&#x27;i m\u00ebsonte sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtorit t\u00eb tij se si t\u00eb shp\u00ebtonte dhe si t\u00eb jetonte drejt. Menj\u00ebher\u00eb u d\u00ebgjua p\u00ebrgjigja e Zotit, i cili urdh\u00ebroi murgun t\u00eb largohej nga manastiri dhe t\u00eb k\u00ebrkonte shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebn dhe heshtjen. Ai e udh\u00ebzoi t\u00eb jetonte n\u00eb vetmi dhe qet\u00ebsi, gj\u00eb q\u00eb lind lutjen e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb t\u00eb zemr\u00ebs. Kozmai u prek nga kjo bised\u00eb qiellore dhe vrapoi t\u00eb k\u00ebrkonte bekimin e abatit. Plaku i dha leje t\u00eb largohej nga manastiri dhe t\u00eb ndiqte rrug\u00ebn asketike. Me bekimin e abatit, i shenjt\u00eb Kozmai u largua nga manastiri dhe shkoi n\u00eb pjes\u00ebt e egra t\u00eb malit. Atje n\u00eb nj\u00eb shk\u00ebmb t\u00eb thepisur ai gdhendi nj\u00eb shpell\u00eb, e cila u b\u00eb qeliza e pjes\u00ebs tjet\u00ebr t\u00eb jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. N\u00eb at\u00eb cep t\u00eb shkret\u00eb ai i kaloi t\u00eb gjitha vitet e tij n\u00eb st\u00ebrvitje t\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb, agj\u00ebrim dhe lutje mendore. Ai b\u00ebri p\u00ebrparim t\u00eb madh n\u00eb jet\u00ebn asketike dhe u ngrit n\u00eb lart\u00ebsi t\u00eb larta shpirt\u00ebrore, t\u00eb cilat pak njer\u00ebz kan\u00eb mundur t&#x27;i arrijn\u00eb. Zoti e bekoi at\u00eb me dhurata t\u00eb pasura, mes tyre mpreht\u00ebsi, mrekullib\u00ebrje dhe p\u00ebrvoj\u00eb e shfaqjeve hyjnore.
