Pak m\u00eb von\u00eb, nj\u00eb turm\u00eb e zem\u00ebruar e vrau me gur\u00eb, por hiri hyjnor e mbajti gjall\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb vazhduar predikimin e Ungjillit. Kodratos ishte nj\u00eb nga shtat\u00ebdhjet\u00eb apostujt dhe jetoi n\u00eb vitet e Zotit ton\u00eb Jisu Krisht. Ai ishte nj\u00eb njeri modest, i urt\u00eb, me arsim t\u00eb lart\u00eb dhe i talentuar me nj\u00eb aft\u00ebsi t\u00eb rrall\u00eb dialektike q\u00eb e dallonte nd\u00ebr bashk\u00ebkoh\u00ebsit e tij. Kur u b\u00eb dishepull i Krishtit, ai mori me boll\u00ebk hirin e Frym\u00ebs s\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb dhe iu p\u00ebrkushtua me gjith\u00eb zem\u00ebr sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebs s\u00eb fjal\u00ebs. Kisha e em\u00ebroi peshkop t\u00eb Athin\u00ebs, n\u00eb nj\u00eb qytet q\u00eb kishte nevoj\u00eb p\u00ebr nj\u00eb pastor me dije t\u00eb thell\u00eb dhe fuqi fal\u00ebse. Me fjal\u00ebt e tij t\u00eb frym\u00ebzuara hyjnore ai udh\u00ebhoqi shum\u00eb pagan\u00eb n\u00eb besimin e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb dhe tregoi rrug\u00ebn q\u00eb t\u00eb \u00e7on te Shp\u00ebtimtari Krisht. Biografi i tij e krahasoi at\u00eb me nj\u00eb yll m\u00ebngjesi q\u00eb shk\u00eblqen n\u00ebp\u00ebr ret\u00eb e err\u00ebta t\u00eb idhujtaris\u00eb. Kudo q\u00eb kalonte, ai shp\u00ebrndau err\u00ebsir\u00ebn e gabimit dhe ndezi n\u00eb shpirtra flak\u00ebn e dijes hyjnore. Suksesi i madh i predikimit t\u00eb tij shkaktoi zilin\u00eb e armiqve t\u00eb besimit, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt nuk duronin t&#x27;i shihnin idhujt t\u00eb braktisur. Sofist\u00ebt e Athin\u00ebs, n\u00eb pamund\u00ebsi p\u00ebr ta p\u00ebrballur me argumente, u kthyen kund\u00ebr tij me dhun\u00eb dhe k\u00ebrc\u00ebnime. Ata zgjuan njer\u00ebzit dhe ran\u00eb mbi t\u00eb me gur\u00eb, si\u00e7 kishin b\u00ebr\u00eb dikur hebrenjt\u00eb me martirin e par\u00eb Stefan. Kodratos i duroi me guxim gur\u00ebzimet dhe torturat e tmerrshme, pa e lar\u00eb mendjen. M\u00eb n\u00eb fund ai u d\u00ebbua nga dioqeza e tij dhe u detyrua t\u00eb largohej nga qyteti q\u00eb donte aq shum\u00eb. Por zelli i tij nuk u shua, por u ndez edhe m\u00eb shum\u00eb mes sprovave. Ai marshoi n\u00eb Magnezi t\u00eb Azis\u00eb s\u00eb Vog\u00ebl, ku p\u00ebrs\u00ebri filloi t\u00eb predikonte me guxim fjal\u00ebn e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb. Puna e tij e ndritur e m\u00ebsimdh\u00ebnies b\u00ebri mrekulli t\u00eb reja atje, nd\u00ebrsa i largoi shpirtrat nga idhujtaria. Ai shkat\u00ebrroi tempujt demonik\u00eb me lutjen e tij dhe shkat\u00ebrroi idhujt q\u00eb mbanin rob\u00ebr njer\u00ebzit. Shum\u00eb pagan\u00eb pranuan pag\u00ebzimin e shenjt\u00eb dhe u p\u00ebrfshin\u00eb n\u00eb Kish\u00ebn e Krishtit me g\u00ebzim dhe mir\u00ebnjohje. N\u00eb vitin e nj\u00ebqind e nj\u00ebzet e gjasht\u00eb pas Krishtit, Sh\u00ebn Kodrato shkroi nj\u00eb Apologji t\u00eb madhe n\u00eb mbrojtje t\u00eb besimit t\u00eb krishter\u00eb dhe ia paraqiti perandorit Hadrian. Ky tekst ndikoi ndjesh\u00ebm n\u00eb rrjedh\u00ebn e persekutimeve, pasi perandori nxori nj\u00eb dekret q\u00eb ndalonte t\u00eb d\u00ebnohej dikush pa arsye. Apologjia ishte e njohur p\u00ebr historianin Eusebius n\u00eb shekullin e kat\u00ebrt dhe sot ka mbijetuar vet\u00ebm nj\u00eb fragment i vog\u00ebl. N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb shenjtori pohon se veprat e Shp\u00ebtimtarit ishin gjithmon\u00eb t\u00eb dukshme, sepse ato ishin t\u00eb v\u00ebrteta dhe se sh\u00ebrimet dhe ringjalljet e t\u00eb vdekurve u b\u00ebn\u00eb t\u00eb dukshme p\u00ebr shum\u00eb njer\u00ebz. Ata q\u00eb u p\u00ebrfituan nga Krishti vazhduan t\u00eb jetonin p\u00ebr shum\u00eb vite pas Ngjitjes s\u00eb Tij dhe disa arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb dit\u00ebt e vet\u00eb apostullit. Megjithat\u00eb, p\u00ebrgjigja e Hadrianit ndaj k\u00ebtij predikimi t\u00eb guximsh\u00ebm ishte e ashp\u00ebr dhe e parevokueshme. Pagan\u00ebt e pabes\u00eb e hodh\u00ebn shenjtorin n\u00eb burg dhe e tiranizuan p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb gjat\u00eb nga uria e tmerrshme. K\u00ebshtu e privuan at\u00eb nga ushqimi nga ai q\u00eb ushqeu shpirtrat me fjal\u00ebn q\u00eb t\u00eb \u00e7on n\u00eb jet\u00ebn e p\u00ebrjetshme. Apologjeti i madh i besimit m\u00eb n\u00eb fund ia dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin e tij t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb Zotit, duke marr\u00eb nga duart e Krishtit kuror\u00ebn amarante t\u00eb martirizimit. Martirizimi i tij ndodhi gjat\u00eb sundimit t\u00eb perandorit Hadrian, n\u00eb vitet kur besimi i ri u sprovua r\u00ebnd\u00eb nga persekutimi. Trupi i tij i ndersh\u00ebm u varros me nderim n\u00eb Magnezi, ku ai kishte p\u00ebrfunduar rrug\u00ebn e sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebs s\u00eb tij apostolike. Nga varri i tij rrodh\u00ebn sh\u00ebrime t\u00eb pasura dhe ngush\u00ebllim shpirt\u00ebror tek ata q\u00eb iu afruan me besim dhe p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi. T\u00eb s\u00ebmur\u00ebt u sh\u00ebruan, t\u00eb trishtuarit ngush\u00eblloheshin dhe besimtar\u00ebt merrnin forc\u00eb nga prania e relikes s\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. Kisha e nderon kujtimin e tij m\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e nj\u00eb shtator, nd\u00ebrsa p\u00ebrkujtimin e dyt\u00eb e ka m\u00eb 4 janar. Jeta e tij m\u00ebson se e v\u00ebrteta e Ungjillit fiton gjithmon\u00eb, edhe kur p\u00ebrballet me zem\u00ebrimin e t\u00eb fuqishm\u00ebve t\u00eb tok\u00ebs.
