Pak m\u00eb par\u00eb, idhujt e Apollonit dhe Herkulit ishin shembur dhe b\u00ebr\u00eb pluhur para lutjes s\u00eb martirit t\u00eb ri. Sh\u00ebn erdhi nga Markianoupolis i Thrakis\u00eb dhe jetoi n\u00eb koh\u00ebn e perandorit Antoninus t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm, rreth nj\u00ebqind e gjasht\u00ebdhjet\u00eb pas Krishtit. Sundimtari lokal Antiokus, nj\u00eb persekutues mizor i Kish\u00ebs, m\u00ebsoi p\u00ebr lajmin e zjarrt\u00eb q\u00eb po \u00e7onte turma pagan\u00ebsh n\u00eb besimin e krishter\u00eb. Ata e pranuan at\u00eb n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e tyre dhe p\u00ebrdor\u00ebn \u00e7do mjet t\u00eb aft\u00eb dhe tin\u00ebzar p\u00ebr ta kthyer at\u00eb n\u00eb idhujtari. Por Sh\u00ebn mbeti e pal\u00ebkundur si shk\u00ebmb, e pa l\u00ebkundur nga premtimet dhe komplimentet e grave. N\u00eb vend q\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00ebrhiqej, ajo vet\u00eb filloi t\u00eb fliste p\u00ebr Krishtin me aq forc\u00eb sa gruaja e sundimtarit u prek thell\u00eb. K\u00ebshtu gruaja q\u00eb kishte marr\u00eb p\u00ebrsip\u00ebr t\u00eb mposhtte, u pushtua nga hiri i Ungjillit. Ajo pranoi Krishtin dhe fshehtas u b\u00eb dishepull i martirit t\u00eb ri, pa ditur asgj\u00eb mizori Antiok. T\u00eb dy grat\u00eb bashkuan p\u00ebrpjekjet e tyre dhe soll\u00ebn shum\u00eb pagan\u00eb n\u00eb besimin e krishter\u00eb, duke i inicuar fshehurazi n\u00eb misteret e Kish\u00ebs. Humbja e gruas s\u00eb sundimtarit p\u00ebrfundimisht u b\u00eb nj\u00eb fitore e lavdishme shpirt\u00ebrore, duke e zbukuruar p\u00ebrgjithmon\u00eb shpirtin e saj me hirin e Zotit. Sh\u00ebn Melitini eci me paqe e guxim drejt vendit t\u00eb martirizimit, duke fal\u00ebnderuar Zotin p\u00ebr fundin q\u00eb po i jepte. Ajo pranoi shpat\u00ebn n\u00eb qaf\u00eb dhe kaloi n\u00eb lavdin\u00eb e p\u00ebrjetshme, duke i ofruar gjakun e saj si mjalt\u00eb e \u00ebmb\u00ebl Krishtit t\u00eb saj t\u00eb dashur. Trupi i saj i ndersh\u00ebm u varros, sipas zakonit t\u00eb persekutor\u00ebve kund\u00ebr martir\u00ebve t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs. N\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb, nj\u00eb i krishter\u00eb i devotsh\u00ebm nga Maqedonia, i quajtur Akakios, po kalonte nga Markianoupolis, duke u kthyer n\u00eb atdhe. Sapo mori vesh p\u00ebr martirizimin e Sh\u00ebnsit, i k\u00ebrkoi sundimtarit leje p\u00ebr t\u00eb marr\u00eb reliktin e shenjt\u00eb. Antiokusi, duke mos dyshuar p\u00ebr q\u00ebllimin e tij t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm, ia dor\u00ebzoi trupin e saj si d\u00ebshmitar pa asnj\u00eb kund\u00ebrshtim. Akacius me shum\u00eb nderim e vendosi lipsanin e shenjt\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb altar prej druri dhe u nis me nxitim p\u00ebr n\u00eb atdheun e tij t\u00eb larg\u00ebt. Ai hipi n\u00eb nj\u00eb anije dhe filloi udh\u00ebtimin e tij p\u00ebrtej detit, duke mbajtur thesarin e \u00e7muar pran\u00eb tij si bekimin m\u00eb t\u00eb madh t\u00eb jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. Megjithat\u00eb, gjat\u00eb udh\u00ebtimit ai u s\u00ebmur r\u00ebnd\u00eb dhe, me gjith\u00eb kujdesin e marinar\u00ebve, ia dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin Zotit.
