Pak m\u00eb von\u00eb, sundimtari mizor q\u00eb po i ndiqte u godit nga rrufeja teksa ishte ulur n\u00eb fronin e tij t\u00eb gjykimit. Ata jetuan n\u00eb vitet e perandorit t\u00eb pabes\u00eb Maximianus Galerius, n\u00eb qytetin Markianoupolis t\u00eb Mysis\u00eb dhe u dalluan p\u00ebr devotshm\u00ebrin\u00eb e tyre t\u00eb thell\u00eb. Maksimi dhe Asklepiodoti ishin qytetar\u00eb t\u00eb shquar, me nj\u00eb jet\u00eb t\u00eb ndritur e t\u00eb krishter\u00eb, q\u00eb i \u00e7oi shum\u00eb bashk\u00ebqytetar\u00eb t\u00eb tyre drejt besimit t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb dhe pag\u00ebzimit t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. Por p\u00ebrndjekja nuk vonoi shum\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb arritur n\u00eb qytetin e tyre s\u00eb bashku me Tirisin, sundimtarin e Thrakis\u00eb. Ai po b\u00ebnte nj\u00eb xhiro n\u00eb krahin\u00ebn e tij duke k\u00ebrkuar ata q\u00eb pohonin se Krishtin, p\u00ebr t&#x27;i t\u00ebrhequr me forc\u00eb para gjykat\u00ebs. K\u00ebshtu ai thirri dy martir\u00ebt dhe k\u00ebrkoi q\u00eb ata t\u00eb mohonin Krishtin. Kur ata refuzuan me vendosm\u00ebri, ai urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t\u00eb rriheshin ashp\u00ebr dhe pa m\u00ebshir\u00eb. N\u00eb momentin kur dy martir\u00ebt po merrnin goditjet e para, nj\u00eb njeri i devotsh\u00ebm i quajtur Theodot doli me guxim dhe e qortoi publikisht sundimtarin p\u00ebr \u00e7njer\u00ebzimin dhe mizorin\u00eb e tij. Ushtar\u00ebt nxituan menj\u00ebher\u00eb dhe e arrestuan, e var\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb pem\u00eb dhe i gris\u00ebn mishin me vegla hekuri. Pas k\u00ebtyre torturave t\u00eb tmerrshme, tre d\u00ebshmor\u00ebt i fut\u00ebn s\u00eb bashku n\u00eb burg dhe Tirisi vazhdoi turneun duke i marr\u00eb me vete. Pas tremb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb dit\u00ebsh ecjeje, ata arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb Adrianopoj\u00eb dhe aty filluan tortura t\u00eb reja, m\u00eb t\u00eb tmerrshme. Sundimtari urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb trupat e tyre t\u00eb digjeshin me pllaka bakri t\u00eb nxeht\u00eb derisa mishi t\u00eb shkrihej nga zjarri. Por mes dhimbjes s\u00eb padurueshme u d\u00ebgjua nj\u00eb z\u00eb nga qielli q\u00eb i ngush\u00eblloi dhe u dha forc\u00eb t\u00eb q\u00ebndronin n\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00eb. Pas disa dit\u00ebsh burgim, sundimtari vendosi t&#x27;i hidhte te kafsh\u00ebt n\u00eb amfiteat\u00ebr. Turma njer\u00ebzish u mblodh\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u00eb par\u00eb spektaklin e p\u00ebrgjaksh\u00ebm, por asgj\u00eb nuk doli ashtu si\u00e7 priste persekutori at\u00eb dit\u00eb. Ariu q\u00eb l\u00ebshuan kund\u00ebr Maksimit dhe Teodotit u afrua me qet\u00ebsi dhe filloi t&#x27;u p\u00ebrk\u00ebdhelte trupat me \u00ebmb\u00eblsi t\u00eb \u00e7uditshme. Asklepiodoti ishte i lidhur me nj\u00eb dem t\u00eb eg\u00ebr, por ai q\u00ebndroi i pal\u00ebvizur, sikur i lidhur me lidhje t\u00eb padukshme dhe nuk u largua fare nga vendi i tij. Kur ata refuzuan me t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn vendosm\u00ebri, ai urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t\u00eb treve t&#x27;u pritej koka n\u00eb vend. K\u00ebshtu ata ia dor\u00ebzuan shpirtin Krishtit, duke p\u00ebrfunduar luft\u00ebn e tyre me kuror\u00ebn e martirizimit.
