Kur u kap dhe u torturua tmerr\u00ebsisht, ai thirri se Zoti e kishte b\u00ebr\u00eb t\u00eb ri dhe t\u00eb fort\u00eb, m\u00eb t\u00eb fort\u00eb se vet\u00eb Maksimiani. Gjat\u00eb viteve kur perandori q\u00ebndroi n\u00eb Nikomedia dhe rip\u00ebrt\u00ebri persekutimin, shum\u00eb besimtar\u00eb u detyruan t\u00eb fshiheshin n\u00eb vende t\u00eb izoluara. N\u00eb nj\u00eb streh\u00eb t\u00eb till\u00eb ishte m\u00ebsuesi i nderuar, i cili nuk pranoi t\u00eb heshtte p\u00ebr t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00ebn. Maksimiani e shikoi me zem\u00ebrim dhe e pyeti pse po nderonte nj\u00eb burr\u00eb q\u00eb u kryq\u00ebzua nga hebrenjt\u00eb dhe po largonte f\u00ebmij\u00ebt e paditur. Plaku me p\u00ebrbuzje u p\u00ebrgjigj se per\u00ebndit\u00eb e idhujve jan\u00eb demon\u00eb, nd\u00ebrsa Zoti i tij krijoi t\u00eb gjith\u00eb qiellin dhe tok\u00ebn. Perandori u t\u00ebrbua nga ato fjal\u00eb dhe urdh\u00ebroi kat\u00ebr ushtar\u00eb t\u00eb rrihnin plakun n\u00eb fytyr\u00eb, an\u00ebt dhe gjunj\u00ebt. Trupi i tij i plakur ishte i lyer me gjak, por ai nuk u p\u00ebrkul p\u00ebr asnj\u00eb \u00e7ast para torturuesve t\u00eb tij. Ai ngriti z\u00ebrin te Zoti dhe e fal\u00ebnderoi q\u00eb e b\u00ebri at\u00eb nga nj\u00eb burr\u00eb i dob\u00ebt dhe i moshuar m\u00eb i fort\u00eb se vet\u00eb Maksimiani. At\u00ebher\u00eb perandori urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb ta gjuanin me gur\u00eb mbi supet dhe k\u00ebmb\u00ebt, p\u00ebr t\u00eb shtypur gjith\u00eb q\u00ebndres\u00ebn e plakut. Kur iu shtyp\u00ebn t\u00eb gjitha gjymtyr\u00ebt, i vun\u00eb nj\u00eb ngarkes\u00eb t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb n\u00eb qaf\u00eb dhe i vun\u00eb pranga hekuri n\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00eb. N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb gjendje e t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn zvarr\u00eb dhe e mbyll\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb burg t\u00eb err\u00ebt, me shpres\u00ebn se do t&#x27;ia prishnin besimin. Pastaj ata soll\u00ebn para perandorit tet\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e kat\u00ebr f\u00ebmij\u00eb, djem e vajza t\u00eb mosh\u00ebs s\u00eb re. Maksimiani filloi t&#x27;i nxiste me fjal\u00eb t\u00eb \u00ebmbla q\u00eb t\u00eb adhuronin idhujt dhe t\u00eb shp\u00ebtonin. Por ata hesht\u00ebn dhe e shikuan nj\u00ebri-tjetrin me nj\u00eb v\u00ebshtrim dhe vendosm\u00ebri t\u00eb fiksuar. Duke par\u00eb heshtjen e tyre, perandori ve\u00e7oi dhjet\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00ebt m\u00eb t\u00eb m\u00ebdhenj dhe u p\u00ebrpoq t&#x27;i joshte me premtime. Ai u tha atyre se n\u00ebse do t\u00eb b\u00ebnin flijime p\u00ebr per\u00ebndit\u00eb, do t\u00eb q\u00ebndronin n\u00eb pallat dhe do t\u00eb merrnin dhurata dhe nderime t\u00eb pasura. Por dy prej tyre, Amonius dhe Donatos, q\u00ebndruan para tij dhe rr\u00ebfyen besimin e tyre me nj\u00eb z\u00eb t\u00eb guximsh\u00ebm. Ata than\u00eb qart\u00eb se jan\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00eb dhe nuk u ofrojn\u00eb flijime demon\u00ebve memec\u00eb dhe t\u00eb shurdh\u00ebr. Nd\u00ebrsa i fshikullonin, ata p\u00ebrs\u00ebrisnin pa u lodhur se ishin t\u00eb krishter\u00eb dhe nuk do t&#x27;u sh\u00ebrbenin kurr\u00eb per\u00ebndive pagane. M\u00eb pas ai iu drejtua pjes\u00ebs tjet\u00ebr t\u00eb nx\u00ebn\u00ebs\u00ebve t\u00eb rinj me lajka dhe k\u00ebrc\u00ebnime. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb, megjithat\u00eb, rr\u00ebfyen Krishtin dhe refuzuan me vendosm\u00ebri \u00e7do flijim p\u00ebr idhujt.
