Midis k\u00ebsaj tufe t\u00eb njollosur me gjak, peshkopi Anthimi shkroi fshehurazi letra nga nj\u00eb fshat i vog\u00ebl dhe mbajti t\u00eb drejt\u00eb ata q\u00eb prisnin radh\u00ebn e tyre n\u00eb martirizim. Ai lindi dhe u rrit n\u00eb vet\u00eb Nikomedia, n\u00eb fund t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb tret\u00eb pas Krishtit. Q\u00eb n\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00ebri ai u dallua p\u00ebr but\u00ebsin\u00eb, men\u00e7urin\u00eb dhe dashurin\u00eb e thell\u00eb p\u00ebr gj\u00ebrat hyjnore. Jeta e tij ishte nj\u00eb shembull i gjall\u00eb i maturis\u00eb, p\u00ebrul\u00ebsis\u00eb dhe lutjes s\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb. Kur u shugurua meshtar, iu p\u00ebrkushtua me gjith\u00eb zem\u00ebr m\u00ebsimit dhe kujdesit p\u00ebr besimtar\u00ebt e qytetit t\u00eb tij. Pas vdekjes s\u00eb kryepeshkopit t\u00eb m\u00ebparsh\u00ebm Kiril, kleri dhe populli e em\u00ebruan at\u00eb si pastor t\u00eb Nikomedis\u00eb. Ata madje thon\u00eb se gjat\u00eb shugurimit t\u00eb tij tempulli u ndri\u00e7ua nga drita qiellore dhe u d\u00ebgjua nj\u00eb z\u00eb hyjnor. Ai mori drejtimin e Kish\u00ebs si nj\u00eb kapiten me p\u00ebrvoj\u00eb q\u00eb drejton anijen n\u00ebp\u00ebr dete t\u00eb tmerrshme. Anthimus e drejtoi kopen\u00eb e tij me men\u00e7uri dhe dashuri, duke i p\u00ebrgatitur n\u00eb heshtje p\u00ebr at\u00eb q\u00eb do t\u00eb vinte. Kur shp\u00ebrtheu persekutimi i madh n\u00eb Lindje n\u00ebn Dioklecianin dhe Maksimianin, Nikomedia u b\u00eb qendra e terrorit, pasi aty jetonin dy perandor\u00ebt. Anthimi rrotullohej mes t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve dhe i forconte me fjal\u00eb zjarri, t\u00eb cilat digjnin \u00e7do frikacak\u00eb n\u00eb zemra. Ai po u thoshte atyre se ishte koha p\u00ebr t\u00eb treguar se kush \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb ushtar i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb i Jisu Krishtit dhe p\u00ebr t\u00eb marshuar me guxim n\u00eb luft\u00eb. Ai u kujtoi atyre se kushdo q\u00eb rr\u00ebfen Zotin p\u00ebrpara popullit, ai do t\u00eb rr\u00ebfej\u00eb edhe para Atit qiellor. Z\u00ebri i tij shkat\u00ebrroi frik\u00ebn dhe ndezi etjen e shpirtrave p\u00ebr martirizim. Nj\u00eb i krishter\u00eb i guximsh\u00ebm e rr\u00ebmbeu dekretin perandorak nga muri, e grisi publikisht dhe u b\u00eb martiri i par\u00eb i qytetit. Menj\u00ebher\u00eb pas k\u00ebsaj, shum\u00eb oborrtar\u00eb dhe zyrtar\u00eb shpall\u00ebn hapur besimin e tyre. Midis tyre shquheshin Dorotheu, Mardonius, Mygdonius, Pjetri, Indis dhe Gorgonius. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb ata me k\u00ebnaq\u00ebsi u dor\u00ebzuan n\u00eb tortur\u00eb p\u00ebr hir t\u00eb Krishtit. Nikomedia u b\u00eb nj\u00eb kazan gjaku dhe besimi dhe \u00e7do dit\u00eb qielli mbushej me fitimtar\u00eb t\u00eb sapokuror\u00ebzuar. Kur nj\u00eb zjarr p\u00ebrpii pallatet, pagan\u00ebt me shpifje i akuzuan t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt se ishin zjarrv\u00ebn\u00ebs. M\u00eb pas, zem\u00ebrimi i Dioklecianit shp\u00ebrtheu me nj\u00eb eg\u00ebrsi t\u00eb pap\u00ebrshkrueshme dhe martirizimet u shumuan n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb qytetin. Disa u ther\u00ebn me shpat\u00eb, t\u00eb tjer\u00ebt u dogj\u00ebn t\u00eb gjall\u00eb dhe t\u00eb tjer\u00eb u hodh\u00ebn t\u00eb lidhur n\u00eb thell\u00ebsi t\u00eb detit. Dit\u00ebn e Krishtlindjes, nj\u00ebzet mij\u00eb besimtar\u00eb u dogj\u00ebn s\u00eb bashku n\u00eb tempullin e mbushur me njer\u00ebz t\u00eb Nikomedias. Peshkopi Anthimi, me vullnetin e Zotit, n\u00eb ato dit\u00eb ishte fshehur n\u00eb fshatin Seman\u00eb af\u00ebr qytetit. Ai nuk fshihej nga frika, por p\u00ebr t\u00eb mb\u00ebshtetur ata besimtar\u00eb q\u00eb kishin mbetur ende pas. Prej andej u d\u00ebrgonte vazhdimisht letra v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve t\u00eb burgosur dhe i forconte n\u00eb luft\u00eb. Ai u kujtoi atyre se vdekja p\u00ebr Krishtin \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb kalim drejt jet\u00ebs s\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb dhe t\u00eb p\u00ebrjetshme. Edhe pse mungonte fizikisht, ai udh\u00ebtoi me ta shpirt\u00ebrisht n\u00ebp\u00ebr burgje. Letrat e tij u b\u00ebn\u00eb ushqim qiellor p\u00ebr \u00e7do zem\u00ebr q\u00eb luftonte. K\u00ebshtu pastori e mbajti t\u00eb gjall\u00eb Kish\u00ebn, nd\u00ebrsa vet\u00eb po p\u00ebrgatitej p\u00ebr momentin e tij. Nj\u00eb ushtar i quajtur Zeno, i forcuar nga m\u00ebsimet e Anthimus, q\u00ebndroi para Maksimianit gjat\u00eb nj\u00eb sakrifice n\u00eb tempullin e Demeter. Ai b\u00ebrtiti me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb se perandori po endet duke adhuruar gurin e pajet\u00eb dhe drurin memec, n\u00eb vend t\u00eb Krijuesit t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb t\u00eb qiellit dhe tok\u00ebs. Xhelat\u00ebt i thyen dh\u00ebmb\u00ebt, i k\u00ebput\u00ebn fytyr\u00ebn dhe n\u00eb fund ia pren\u00eb kok\u00ebn jasht\u00eb qytetit. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb, ra edhe dhjaku Theofanis, i cili u \u00e7onte t\u00eb burgosurve letrat e Anthimi. Kur u arrestua me letrat n\u00eb dor\u00eb, ai nuk pranoi t\u00eb tregonte vendndodhjen e pastorit t\u00eb tij. Fillimisht ia pren\u00eb gjuh\u00ebn dhe m\u00eb pas e vran\u00eb me gur\u00eb dhe me shigjeta. Perandori urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb rr\u00ebfimtar\u00ebt e burgosur t\u00eb ekzekutoheshin n\u00eb m\u00ebnyra t\u00eb ndryshme. Dorotheut iu pre koka, Mardonius u dogj n\u00eb shtyll\u00eb dhe Mygdonius u varros i gjall\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb grop\u00eb. Gorgonius, Indis dhe Pjetri u hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb det me nj\u00eb gur mulliri n\u00eb qaf\u00eb. Trupat e tyre m\u00eb von\u00eb u kap\u00ebn nga peshkatar\u00ebt dhe e virgj\u00ebra Domna i varrosi me nderim. Pagan\u00ebt e gjet\u00ebn at\u00eb duke u lutur n\u00eb lipsane dhe e vran\u00eb at\u00eb n\u00eb shpat\u00eb, s\u00eb bashku me Euthymius q\u00eb inkurajoi besimtar\u00ebt. M\u00eb n\u00eb fund erdhi koha q\u00eb vet\u00eb Anthimi t\u00eb d\u00ebshmonte p\u00ebr Krishtin. Maksimiani zbuloi se ku fshihej dhe d\u00ebrgoi nj\u00ebzet ushtar\u00eb p\u00ebr ta arrestuar n\u00eb fshatin Seman\u00eb. Kur arrit\u00ebn, peshkopi i takoi rrug\u00ebs dhe ata i pyet\u00ebn pa e njohur se ku ishte Anthimi. I \u00e7oi n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e tij, shtroi nj\u00eb tryez\u00eb p\u00ebr ta dhe i priti me dashuri. Pas vaktit, ai u tregoi se ishte ai q\u00eb po k\u00ebrkonin. Ushtar\u00ebt kishin shum\u00eb turp t\u00eb shikonin lart dhe ta k\u00ebrkonin t\u00eb fshihej, duke i premtuar t&#x27;i tregonin perandorit se nuk e kishin gjetur. Por Anthimus e mohoi g\u00ebnjeshtr\u00ebn dhe i bindi t\u00eb zbatonin urdhrin e tyre. Nd\u00ebrsa marshonin drejt Nikomedias, ai u predikoi ungjillin dhe i m\u00ebsoi but\u00ebsisht. Kur arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb lum\u00eb, ai u lut dhe i pag\u00ebzoi n\u00eb em\u00ebr t\u00eb Trinis\u00eb s\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb. Ata vazhduan rrug\u00ebn e tyre s\u00eb bashku me shpirtrat tashm\u00eb t\u00eb rilindur. Duke hyr\u00eb n\u00eb qytet, ai u \u00e7ua i lidhur para Maksimianit, por gjithmon\u00eb i lir\u00eb n\u00eb shpirt. Perandori urdh\u00ebroi t&#x27;i sillnin para tij t\u00eb gjitha instrumentet e tortur\u00ebs, me shpres\u00ebn se do ta frik\u00ebsonte n\u00eb shikim t\u00eb tyre. Anthimi qeshi dhe u p\u00ebrgjigj se k\u00ebto instrumente trembin vet\u00ebm ata q\u00eb e konsiderojn\u00eb jet\u00ebn e tanishme nj\u00eb k\u00ebnaq\u00ebsi t\u00eb madhe. P\u00ebr t\u00eb trupi ishte nj\u00eb burg q\u00eb e pengonte shpirtin t\u00eb takohej me Zotin e shum\u00ebpritur. Pastaj perandori urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t&#x27;i godasin gur\u00ebt n\u00eb qaf\u00eb dhe t&#x27;i shponin k\u00ebmb\u00ebt me hekura t\u00eb ndezur. D\u00ebshmori fal\u00ebnderonte Zotin me dhimbje dhe k\u00ebrkonte vuajtje edhe m\u00eb t\u00eb m\u00ebdha. E shtrin\u00eb lakuriq mbi copa t\u00eb mprehta qeramike dhe e rrah\u00ebn me shkopinj nga lart. Ata i vun\u00eb gjithashtu k\u00ebpuc\u00eb prej bronzi t\u00eb ndezur, por hiri qiellor e mbuloi dhe i premtoi kuror\u00ebn e amarantit. Kur e lidh\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb rrot\u00eb p\u00ebr ta djegur, u shfaq\u00ebn tre njer\u00ebz t\u00eb ndritur dhe zjarri u kthye kund\u00ebr xhelat\u00ebve. Maksimiani e hodhi n\u00eb burg dhe Anthimi e ktheu burgun n\u00eb tempull, duke i pag\u00ebzuar t\u00eb d\u00ebnuarit. N\u00eb fund, perandori e d\u00ebnoi me prerje koke dhe peshkopi marshoi i g\u00ebzuar drejt vendit t\u00eb ekzekutimit.
