Brenda nj\u00eb shpelle t\u00eb ngusht\u00eb, pa ar dhe pa mbrojt\u00ebs t\u00eb fuqish\u00ebm, ai nd\u00ebrtoi nj\u00eb manastir q\u00eb do t\u00eb ndri\u00e7onte gjith\u00eb popullin rus. Ai lindi n\u00eb vitin n\u00ebnt\u00ebqind e tet\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e tre n\u00eb Liubets, af\u00ebr Chernigovit dhe n\u00eb pag\u00ebzimin e shenjt\u00eb mori emrin Antipas. Q\u00eb n\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00ebri ai kishte nj\u00eb frik\u00eb t\u00eb thell\u00eb ndaj Zotit dhe d\u00ebshironte t\u00eb vishej n\u00eb form\u00ebn engj\u00ebllore. Kur arriti mosh\u00ebn e pjekur, nisi nj\u00eb udh\u00ebtim t\u00eb gjat\u00eb dhe m\u00eb n\u00eb fund arriti n\u00eb malin Athos, i djegur nga zelli i asket\u00ebve t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. Atje ai u b\u00eb murg dhe e k\u00ebnaqi Zotin n\u00eb \u00e7do aspekt t\u00eb luft\u00ebs s\u00eb tij shpirt\u00ebrore. Ai u dallua ve\u00e7an\u00ebrisht n\u00eb p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi dhe bindje, saq\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb murgjit u g\u00ebzuan duke par\u00eb jet\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. Por askund nuk e gjeti at\u00eb urdhrin e thell\u00eb asketik q\u00eb aq shum\u00eb d\u00ebshironte shpirti i tij. Me Providenc\u00eb Hyjnore ai arriti n\u00eb kodrat e Kievit, ku uj\u00ebrat e Dnieper rridhnin t\u00eb qet\u00eb. Zona e pyll\u00ebzuar pran\u00eb fshatit Berestovo i kujtoi menj\u00ebher\u00eb Athosin e tij t\u00eb dashur. N\u00eb at\u00eb vend ai gjeti nj\u00eb shpell\u00eb t\u00eb hapur m\u00eb par\u00eb nga prifti Hilarion, Mitropoliti i m\u00ebvonsh\u00ebm i Kievit. Atij i p\u00eblqeu shum\u00eb vendi dhe u lut me lot, duke i k\u00ebrkuar Zotit q\u00eb t\u00eb rr\u00ebzonte bekimin e malit atje. Ai filloi nj\u00eb luft\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebshtir\u00eb me namazin, agj\u00ebrimin, vigjiljen dhe pun\u00ebn fizike. \u00c7do t\u00eb dyt\u00ebn ose t\u00eb tret\u00ebn dit\u00eb hante vet\u00ebm pak buk\u00eb t\u00eb that\u00eb me pak uj\u00eb. Shum\u00eb her\u00eb ai shkoi nj\u00eb jav\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00ebr\u00eb pa ushqim. Shum\u00eb shpejt njer\u00ebz t\u00eb t\u00eb gjitha llojeve filluan t\u00eb vinin te asketi, duke k\u00ebrkuar bekimin dhe k\u00ebshill\u00ebn e tij. Disa prej tyre vendos\u00ebn t\u00eb q\u00ebndrojn\u00eb pran\u00eb tij dhe t\u00eb ndajn\u00eb jet\u00ebn e shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebs. Jeta e virtytshme e Sh\u00ebn Antonit ndri\u00e7oi gjith\u00eb tok\u00ebn ruse me bukurin\u00eb e jet\u00ebs s\u00eb vetmuar. Kur dymb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb dishepuj u mblodh\u00ebn rreth tij, v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit hap\u00ebn nj\u00eb shpell\u00eb t\u00eb madhe dhe nd\u00ebrtuan nj\u00eb tempull dhe qeli brenda. Shenjtori e em\u00ebroi Barlaamin si abat dhe ai vet\u00eb u t\u00ebrhoq n\u00eb nj\u00eb shpell\u00eb t\u00eb re, p\u00ebr t\u00eb jetuar thell\u00eb n\u00eb heshtje. Por edhe atje murgjit filluan t\u00eb vendoseshin rreth tij duke e k\u00ebrkuar. Pak m\u00eb von\u00eb ai nd\u00ebrtoi nj\u00eb tempull t\u00eb vog\u00ebl prej druri p\u00ebr nder t\u00eb Fjetjes s\u00eb Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs, mbi Makrina Spilaia. Me insistimin e princit Iziaslav, Abati Varlaam u nis p\u00ebr n\u00eb manastirin e Dhimitrit. Me bekimin e Sh\u00ebn Antonit dhe me p\u00eblqimin e gjith\u00eb v\u00ebllaz\u00ebris\u00eb, igumeni i p\u00ebrulur dhe i p\u00ebrulur Theodosios u zgjodh igumen. At\u00ebher\u00eb numri i murgjve kishte arritur tashm\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00ebqind burra. Princi i madh i Kievit u dha murgjve kodr\u00ebn ku do t\u00eb ngrihej tempulli i madh. N\u00eb at\u00eb kod\u00ebr u nd\u00ebrtua manastiri i famsh\u00ebm i Shpellave, me qelit\u00eb dhe gardhin rreth tij. Kronisti v\u00ebren se megjith\u00ebse shum\u00eb manastire u nd\u00ebrtuan nga perandor\u00eb dhe zot\u00ebr, asnj\u00eb nuk krahasohej me ato t\u00eb mb\u00ebshtetura nga lutjet e shenjta, lot\u00ebt, agj\u00ebrimi dhe vigjilja. Sh\u00ebn Antoni nuk kishte ar, por ai nd\u00ebrtoi nj\u00eb manastir q\u00eb u b\u00eb qendra e par\u00eb shpirt\u00ebrore e Rusis\u00eb. P\u00ebr shenjt\u00ebrin\u00eb e jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, Zoti e p\u00ebrl\u00ebvdoi me dhuntin\u00eb e mpreht\u00ebsis\u00eb dhe mrekullib\u00ebrjes. Nj\u00eb mrekulli e till\u00eb u shfaq gjat\u00eb nd\u00ebrtimit t\u00eb tempullit t\u00eb madh t\u00eb Shpellave. Vet\u00eb Hyjlind\u00ebse q\u00ebndroi para tij dhe para Sh\u00ebn Teodosit, brenda tempullit Blacherna n\u00eb Kostandinopoj\u00eb. Dy besimtar\u00ebt u transportuan atje p\u00ebr mrekulli, pa u larguar nga manastiri i tyre. N\u00eb qytet n\u00eb vend t\u00eb tyre u shfaq\u00ebn dy engj\u00ebj n\u00eb form\u00ebn e tyre. Ata mor\u00ebn ar nga duart e Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs dhe ia porosit\u00ebn pun\u00ebn arkitekt\u00ebve t\u00eb m\u00ebdhenj.
