Pastaj nj\u00eb ikon\u00eb e Hyjlind\u00e8s udh\u00ebtoi nga Vladimiri dhe shp\u00ebtoi kryeqytetin pa u derdhur asnj\u00eb pik\u00eb gjaku. Ngjarjet vendosen n\u00eb vitet e sundimtarit t\u00eb madh t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm Vasili i Dimitrievich dhe Shenjt\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb Tij Mitropolitit Qiprian. Tamerlani filloi nga lindja me nj\u00eb ushtri t\u00eb madhe dhe n\u00ebnshtroi shum\u00eb vende p\u00ebrpara se t\u00eb kthehej kund\u00ebr tok\u00ebs ruse. N\u00eb kufijt\u00eb e Ryazanit ai kapi sundimtarin vendas dhe vrau mizorisht shum\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00eb. Ai mburrej se do ta shkretonte gjith\u00eb Rusin\u00eb dhe se do ta \u00e7rr\u00ebnjoste besimin e krishter\u00eb nga shpirtrat e njer\u00ebzve. Kur sundimtari i madh m\u00ebsoi p\u00ebr k\u00ebrc\u00ebnimin, mblodhi ushtar\u00ebt e tij dhe u nis me zell p\u00ebr n\u00eb Kolomna. Prej andej ai arriti n\u00eb brigjet e lumit Oka dhe u rreshtua kund\u00ebr pushtuesit pagan. Tamerlani q\u00ebndroi i pal\u00ebvizur n\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin vend p\u00ebr pes\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb dit\u00eb t\u00eb plota, sikur t\u00eb ishte mbajtur nga nj\u00eb forc\u00eb e panjohur. Ushtar\u00ebt e krishter\u00eb ngrit\u00ebn duart drejt qiellit dhe t\u00eb p\u00ebrlotur i k\u00ebrkuan ndihm\u00eb Zotit dhe Hyjlind\u00ebs. Sundimtari i madh thirri hierark\u00ebt e m\u00ebdhenj Pjetri dhe Alexios, Shenjti Sergji dhe pjesa tjet\u00ebr e mrekullib\u00ebr\u00ebsve t\u00eb tok\u00ebs ruse. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb, ai i k\u00ebrkoi babait t\u00eb tij shpirt\u00ebror, Mitropolitit Qiprianos, q\u00eb t\u00eb p\u00ebrshkruaj\u00eb agj\u00ebrimin dhe lutjen e p\u00ebrbashk\u00ebt p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjith\u00eb njer\u00ebzit. Ai gjithashtu i k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb transferonte nga qyteti i Vladimirit ikon\u00ebn e mrekullueshme t\u00eb Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs p\u00ebr mbrojtjen e qytetit mbret\u00ebror. Hierarku i shenjt\u00eb kishte menduar p\u00ebr t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn metafor\u00eb t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb gjat\u00eb dhe pa n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb rast\u00ebsi nj\u00eb shenj\u00eb t\u00eb qart\u00eb t\u00eb begatis\u00eb hyjnore. Ai fal\u00ebnderoi Zotin q\u00eb frym\u00ebzoi t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin mendim n\u00eb zemr\u00ebn e sundimtarit dhe p\u00ebrgatiti menj\u00ebher\u00eb misionin. Kur ikona e shenjt\u00eb iu afrua Mosk\u00ebs, ajo u mir\u00ebprit nga mitropoliti s\u00eb bashku me gjith\u00eb klerin dhe nj\u00eb turm\u00eb t\u00eb panum\u00ebrt besimtar\u00ebsh. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb ran\u00eb p\u00ebrtok\u00eb dhe e adhuruan me lot, sikur po e mir\u00ebpritnin vet\u00eb t\u00eb Bekuarin e Zotit. Kur erdhi n\u00eb vete, thirri princat dhe gjeneral\u00ebt e tij dhe u tregoi me tmerr gjith\u00e7ka q\u00eb kishte par\u00eb n\u00eb vegim. Edhe ata ishin thell\u00ebsisht t\u00eb shqet\u00ebsuar dhe pyesnin veten se \u00e7far\u00eb do t\u00eb thoshte kjo pamje e \u00e7uditshme dhe k\u00ebrc\u00ebnuese. Disa u p\u00ebrgjigj\u00ebn se Mbret\u00ebresha ishte N\u00ebna e Krishtit e t\u00eb Krishter\u00ebve, ndihm\u00ebse dhe mbrojt\u00ebse e popullit t\u00eb saj. Tamerlani rr\u00ebfeu se ata u armatos\u00ebn m\u00eb kot kund\u00ebr njer\u00ebzve q\u00eb kan\u00eb nj\u00eb mbrojtje kaq t\u00eb fort\u00eb n\u00eb parajs\u00eb. Ajo shtoi se n\u00ebse d\u00ebrgon vet\u00ebm nj\u00eb nga miqt\u00eb e saj, ajo do t&#x27;i mposht\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb pa asnj\u00eb shpres\u00eb shp\u00ebtimi.
