Peshkopi q\u00eb e pag\u00ebzoi, Athanasi i Tarsusit, u vra me shpat\u00eb s\u00eb bashku me dy sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtor\u00ebt e saj besnik\u00eb, Charisimos dhe Neophytos. Anthousa lindi n\u00eb nj\u00eb familje t\u00eb pasur seleukide n\u00eb Siri, gjat\u00eb viteve t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira t\u00eb perandorit Valerian. Prind\u00ebrit e saj, Antoninus dhe Martyria, jetonin n\u00eb idhujtari dhe nuk e dinin t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00ebn e Krishtit. Por vajza e tyre kishte d\u00ebgjuar p\u00ebr peshkopin e urt\u00eb Athanasi, i cili jepte m\u00ebsim n\u00eb Tarsus t\u00eb Kilikis\u00eb. S\u00eb bashku me zonj\u00ebn e tyre, u pag\u00ebzuan dy sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtor\u00ebt besnik\u00eb, Charisimos dhe Neophytos, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt gjithashtu e kishin dashur Krishtin. Anthousa nuk donte t\u00eb kthehej n\u00eb pasurin\u00eb dhe rehatin\u00eb e sht\u00ebpis\u00eb s\u00eb saj at\u00ebrore. Ai u t\u00ebrhoq n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00eb, duke k\u00ebrkuar heshtje dhe bised\u00eb t\u00eb fsheht\u00eb me Zotin. Atje jetoi nj\u00ebzet e tre vjet t\u00eb t\u00ebra me agj\u00ebrim, vigjilje dhe lutje t\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb. Shpirti i saj u pastrua nga \u00e7do kujdes tok\u00ebsor dhe u b\u00eb nj\u00eb en\u00eb e hirit hyjnor. Me gjith\u00eb v\u00ebshtir\u00ebsit\u00eb e shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebs, \u200b\u200bajo q\u00ebndroi deri n\u00eb fund t\u00eb rrug\u00ebs s\u00eb saj asketike. Ndon\u00ebse ishin njer\u00ebz t\u00eb thjesht\u00eb, ata rr\u00ebfyen Krishtin para mbretit me guxim t\u00eb mahnitsh\u00ebm dhe shpirt trim. Ata nuk u ndikuan nga k\u00ebrc\u00ebnimet apo joshur nga premtimet p\u00ebr nderime dhe pasuri.
