Ai ishte m\u00ebsues i Akademis\u00eb Athonias, nj\u00eb studiues q\u00eb kishte udh\u00ebtuar n\u00eb Mosk\u00ebn e larg\u00ebt p\u00ebr t\u00eb shp\u00ebtuar Varrin e Shenjt\u00eb nga borxhi. Ai quhej Agapius dhe jeta e tij ishte e thurur mes edukimit t\u00eb Genusit dhe martirizimit p\u00ebr besimin. Ai lindi n\u00eb qytetin e Galatista n\u00eb Halkidiki rreth vitit 1710, n\u00eb nj\u00eb vend q\u00eb at\u00ebher\u00eb ishte selia e nj\u00eb peshkopate me nj\u00eb tradit\u00eb t\u00eb jasht\u00ebzakonshme shpirt\u00ebrore. N\u00eb vendlindje, ai mori nj\u00eb arsim t\u00eb plot\u00eb, pasi Galatista kishte shkolla mjaft t\u00eb organizuara dhe m\u00ebsues t\u00eb aft\u00eb p\u00ebr pun\u00ebn e tyre. Nga i nj\u00ebjti vend dhe n\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb dol\u00ebn piktor\u00ebt e famsh\u00ebm t\u00eb ikonave Galatsani, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt zbukuruan tempujt e shumt\u00eb t\u00eb malit Athos me ikonat dhe afresket e tyre. Nj\u00eb num\u00ebr i konsideruesh\u00ebm i veprave t\u00eb tyre ruhen edhe sot e k\u00ebsaj dite n\u00eb manastirin e shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb Vatopedit, duke d\u00ebshmuar p\u00ebr lul\u00ebzimin shpirt\u00ebror dhe artistik t\u00eb rajonit. Kur ishte ende i ri, Agapius u nis p\u00ebr n\u00eb Jerusalem, n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb q\u00eb t\u00eb mund t\u00eb adhuronte me nderim Vendet e Shenjta t\u00eb Prezenc\u00ebs s\u00eb Zotit. Aty q\u00ebndroi p\u00ebrgjithmon\u00eb, u b\u00eb murg dhe u bashkua me V\u00ebllaz\u00ebrin\u00eb Filoteiste t\u00eb Varrit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb, duke ia kushtuar jet\u00ebn Varrit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb. Patriarku i Jeruzalemit Parthenios, i cili kulloti fronin nga viti 1737 deri n\u00eb 1766, e shuguroi prift. At\u00ebher\u00eb patriarku i urt\u00eb e d\u00ebrgoi at\u00eb si kujdestar n\u00eb metokin e Varrit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb, q\u00eb ndodhej n\u00eb Selanik. Gjat\u00eb q\u00ebndrimit n\u00eb Selanik, Agapios nuk u kufizua vet\u00ebm n\u00eb detyrat administrative, por dha m\u00ebsim me zell n\u00eb Shkoll\u00ebn e Qytetit t\u00eb qytetit. Q\u00eb at\u00ebher\u00eb ai tregoi prirjen e tij t\u00eb fort\u00eb drejt m\u00ebsimit dhe transmetimit t\u00eb letrave greke te t\u00eb rinjt\u00eb e Gjinis\u00eb s\u00eb n\u00ebnshtruar. Ai e d\u00ebrgoi at\u00eb n\u00eb Mosk\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb mbledhur fonde q\u00eb do t\u00eb mbulonin borxhin e r\u00ebnd\u00eb t\u00eb Varrit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb ndaj kreditor\u00ebve t\u00eb Patriarkan\u00ebs s\u00eb Jeruzalemit. P\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb v\u00ebshtir\u00ebsive t\u00eb shumta dhe t\u00eb ndryshme, arkimandriti mbeti n\u00eb tok\u00ebn ruse deri n\u00eb 1747. Por ai u kthye duke sjell\u00eb me vete nj\u00eb shum\u00eb t\u00eb mjaftueshme parash, e cila lejonte shlyerjen e nj\u00eb pjese t\u00eb madhe t\u00eb detyrimeve t\u00eb r\u00ebnda financiare. Pas kthimit n\u00eb Selanik, ai vazhdoi menj\u00ebher\u00eb pun\u00ebn e preferuar t\u00eb m\u00ebsimdh\u00ebnies n\u00eb shkoll\u00ebn e famshme t\u00eb qytetit. Pak m\u00eb von\u00eb u ftua t\u00eb jepte m\u00ebsim si profesor n\u00eb Akademin\u00eb e famshme Athoniada, e cila vepronte pran\u00eb manastirit t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb Vatopedit. Me sugjerimin e m\u00ebsuesit t\u00eb urt\u00eb Evgenios Voulgaris, Patriarkana Ekumenike e shtatorit e em\u00ebroi zyrtarisht at\u00eb m\u00ebsues t\u00eb Atonis\u00eb. N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb pozicion ai vuri n\u00eb pah pun\u00ebn shpirt\u00ebrore t\u00eb shkoll\u00ebs dhe nderoi me pranin\u00eb e tij tradit\u00ebn e madhe t\u00eb edukimit shenjtor. Evgenios Voulgaris, n\u00eb fakt, n\u00eb letr\u00ebn e tij nga Janina m\u00eb dhjet\u00eb prill 1752, e p\u00ebrg\u00ebzoi ngroht\u00ebsisht p\u00ebr marrjen e detyrave t\u00eb reja t\u00eb larta. Pak muaj m\u00eb von\u00eb, Agapios vizitoi p\u00ebr pak koh\u00eb vendlindjen e Galatista, p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjetur s\u00ebrish t\u00eb njohurat dhe vendet e f\u00ebmij\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb tij. M\u00eb tet\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb gusht 1752, kur po kthehej nga Galatista n\u00eb Selanik, ra d\u00ebshmor pran\u00eb Thermit. Autor\u00eb t\u00eb krimit ishin jeni\u00e7er\u00ebt e eg\u00ebr, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt n\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb u k\u00ebnaq\u00ebn me pla\u00e7kitje, pla\u00e7kitje dhe gjakderdhje n\u00eb kurriz t\u00eb popullit ortodoks t\u00eb rajonit. Detajet e arrestimit dhe martirizimit t\u00eb tij mbeten t\u00eb panjohura, si dhe vendi i varrimit apo fati i mbetjeve t\u00eb tij t\u00eb \u00e7muara. Peshkopi i ditur i Kampanis\u00eb Theophilos ruajti n\u00eb arkivin e tij d\u00ebshmin\u00eb p\u00ebr vdekjen e padrejt\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00eb urtit. Ngjarja e par\u00eb zyrtare e nderit t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Agapit u zhvillua n\u00eb vitin 1977 n\u00eb vendlindjen e tij. Ajo u organizua nga Mitropoliti i Ierisos, Malit Athos dhe Ardameri, Nikodimos, me veprimet e arkimandritit Chrysostomos Maidonis t\u00eb protokoncilitorit.
