Ai shkoi t\u00eb k\u00ebrkonte drejt\u00ebsi p\u00ebr taks\u00ebn e r\u00ebnd\u00eb dhe e gjeti veten t\u00eb akuzuar p\u00ebr mohimin e Krishtit t\u00eb tij. Stamatios vinte nga fshati Sh\u00ebn Gjergji i Volos, n\u00eb krahin\u00ebn e Dimitrias dhe jetonte i qet\u00eb mes bashk\u00ebfshatar\u00ebve t\u00eb tij. N\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb nj\u00eb aga mizor mb\u00ebrriti n\u00eb zon\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb mbledhur taks\u00ebn e hara\u00e7it nga t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt. Ky njeri sillej n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb arbitrare, i shtypte banor\u00ebt dhe i ngarkonte me padrejt\u00ebsi pa mas\u00eb. Fshatar\u00ebt e d\u00ebshp\u00ebruar u mblodh\u00ebn dhe vendos\u00ebn t\u00eb d\u00ebrgonin nj\u00eb delegacion t\u00eb vog\u00ebl n\u00eb Port\u00ebn e Lart\u00eb t\u00eb Qytetit. Ata shpresonin se atje do t\u00eb gjenin m\u00eb n\u00eb fund t\u00eb drejt\u00ebn e tyre dhe do t\u00eb shp\u00ebtonin nga taksambledh\u00ebsi mizor. Mes an\u00ebtar\u00ebve t\u00eb misionit ishte edhe i p\u00ebruluri Stamatios, pa e imagjinuar se \u00e7far\u00eb e priste. K\u00ebshtu ata t\u00eb gjith\u00eb bashk\u00eb u paraqit\u00ebn te Veziri dhe filluan t\u00eb ankohen p\u00ebr padrejt\u00ebsit\u00eb e ag\u00ebs. Por ai ishte nj\u00eb mik personal i taksambledh\u00ebsve dhe nuk donte t&#x27;i d\u00ebgjonte fare fjal\u00ebt e tyre. Menj\u00ebher\u00eb urdh\u00ebroi rojet q\u00eb t&#x27;i nxirrnin jasht\u00eb me goditje e shtytje t\u00eb egra. Disa nga t\u00eb d\u00ebrguarit, dhe Stamatius me ta, protestuan me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb p\u00ebr padrejt\u00ebsin\u00eb e r\u00ebnd\u00eb q\u00eb u ishte b\u00ebr\u00eb. Pastaj disa zyrtar\u00eb turq, miq t\u00eb ag\u00ebs, e ve\u00e7uan shenjtorin dhe e \u00e7uan p\u00ebrs\u00ebri te veziri. Stamatius e mohoi akuz\u00ebn me gjith\u00eb fuqin\u00eb e tij dhe e provoi hapur keqdashjen e akuzuesve t\u00eb tij. Veziri e d\u00ebrgoi menj\u00ebher\u00eb te gjykat\u00ebsi kompetent, detyr\u00eb e t\u00eb cilit ishte t\u00eb shqyrtonte raste t\u00eb tilla t\u00eb r\u00ebnda besimi. P\u00ebrpara gjykat\u00ebsit, d\u00ebshmori p\u00ebrs\u00ebriti me vendosm\u00ebri se kjo ishte nj\u00eb shpifje e qart\u00eb e armiqve t\u00eb tij. Gjyqtari e v\u00ebshtroi me nj\u00eb v\u00ebshtrim dinak dhe i tha: \u201cE n\u00ebse nuk u b\u00ebre, b\u00ebhu turk tani\u201d. Pastaj trimi Stamatius ngriti z\u00ebrin dhe u p\u00ebrgjigj me vendosm\u00ebri dhe indinjat\u00eb t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. &quot;Mos m\u00eb lejoni t\u00eb jem aq budalla sa t\u00eb mohoj Krishtin tim t\u00eb \u00ebmb\u00ebl.&quot; Ai mendonte se vdekja me Zotin e tij \u00ebsht\u00eb m\u00eb e mir\u00eb se jeta me nj\u00eb mij\u00eb k\u00ebnaq\u00ebsi dhe lavdi t\u00eb p\u00ebrkohshme t\u00eb k\u00ebsaj bote. Gjyqtari mbeti i shtangur nga trim\u00ebria e fshatarit t\u00eb thjesht\u00eb dhe e ktheu te Veziri. Ai u p\u00ebrpoq n\u00eb \u00e7do m\u00ebnyr\u00eb t\u00eb p\u00ebrkulte shpirtin e tij, duke p\u00ebrdorur lajka, premtime, nderime dhe ofiqe. Ai madje i premtoi atij pozicionin e ndihm\u00ebsit personal n\u00ebse ai pranonte t\u00eb ndryshonte besimin e baballar\u00ebve t\u00eb tij. Veziri u t\u00ebrbua dhe urdh\u00ebroi ta burgosnin dhe ta torturonin r\u00ebnd\u00eb. Veziri u mbush me inat p\u00ebr besnik\u00ebrin\u00eb e tij t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur dhe ia dor\u00ebzoi prefektit t\u00eb qytetit.
