Sh\u00ebn Akakios solli me vete shenjtorin e m\u00ebvonsh\u00ebm Theophilos Myroblytis, t\u00eb cilin ai vet\u00eb e kishte shuguruar si prift gjat\u00eb viteve t\u00eb sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebs s\u00eb tij peshkopale. Jeta e tij ishte e lidhur ngusht\u00eb me Sh\u00ebn Nifonin, Mitropolitin e Selanikut, i cili m\u00eb von\u00eb u b\u00eb Patriarku i Kostandinopoj\u00ebs. Ai e shuguroi peshkop n\u00eb dioqez\u00ebn historike t\u00eb Letisit dhe Rentinit, duke njohur virtytin dhe men\u00e7urin\u00eb e tij. Akakios ishte nj\u00eb en\u00eb e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb akacieje, si\u00e7 d\u00ebshmon vet\u00eb emri i tij n\u00eb tradit\u00ebn shpirt\u00ebrore t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs. Osh\u00ebnar Theofilos e kishte si Plak, sepse gjeti tek ai nj\u00eb njeri plot devotshm\u00ebri dhe past\u00ebrti t\u00eb brendshme t\u00eb thell\u00eb. N\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet Akakios, Theophilos u takua dhe u lidh me gjith\u00eb at\u00eb shoq\u00ebri t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb rreth Nifonit. Martir\u00ebt e m\u00ebvonsh\u00ebm Makarios dhe Joasaf, plaku Jakobi Dionizian dhe dhjaku Jakob q\u00eb u martirizuan n\u00eb Adrianopoj\u00eb i p\u00ebrkisnin asaj. Po ashtu edhe Sh\u00ebn Theonas, shok\u00ebt Apsarades Theophanes dhe Nektarios, si dhe studiuesi i mir\u00ebnjohur Sh\u00ebn Maksim greku. Kur Sh\u00ebn Nifon, tani Patriarku i Kostandinopoj\u00ebs, u informua p\u00ebr ngjarjet e m\u00ebdha dhe t\u00eb mrekullueshme n\u00eb Egjipt, ai vendosi t\u00eb d\u00ebrgoj\u00eb atje njeriun e tij m\u00eb t\u00eb besuar. Ai zgjodhi Akakios, peshkopin e Letisit dhe Rentinit, t\u00eb cilin e nderonte dhe e respektonte thell\u00ebsisht p\u00ebr men\u00e7urin\u00eb dhe virtytin e tij. I shoq\u00ebruar nga vart\u00ebsi i tij Theophilus dhe nj\u00eb grup klerik\u00ebsh, Akacius u nis n\u00eb udh\u00ebtimin e gjat\u00eb n\u00eb 1486 pas Krishtit. Q\u00ebllimi i misionit ishte t\u00eb shqyrtonin me syt\u00eb dhe vesh\u00ebt e tyre se \u00e7far\u00eb po ndodhte. Ata i soll\u00ebn edhe nj\u00eb let\u00ebr t\u00eb Nifonos Patriarkut t\u00eb Aleksandris\u00eb, Sh\u00ebn Joakim P\u00eblhur\u00ebs, plot fal\u00ebnderime p\u00ebr Zotin. N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb Nifoni p\u00ebrl\u00ebvdoi Zotin q\u00eb d\u00ebgjoi lutjet e Joakimit dhe b\u00ebri mrekullisht ato shenja t\u00eb m\u00ebdha. Patriarku Joakim i priti t\u00eb d\u00ebrguarit me dashuri t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb dhe g\u00ebzim at\u00ebror. Ai i mbajti p\u00ebr disa koh\u00eb n\u00eb Patriarkan\u00eb, ku i trajtoi dhe i komplimentoi me \u00e7do nder. K\u00ebshtu ai tregoi qart\u00eb admirimin e tij p\u00ebr personalitetet q\u00eb i d\u00ebrgonte Konstandinopoja. Pas q\u00ebndrimit n\u00eb Aleksandri, shenjtor\u00ebt Akakios dhe Teofili vazhduan me shoq\u00ebrin\u00eb e tyre nj\u00eb pelegrinazh t\u00eb gjat\u00eb. Ata arrit\u00ebn fillimisht n\u00eb malin Sinai t\u00eb caktuar nga Per\u00ebndia dhe atje adhuruan me nderim t\u00eb thell\u00eb vendet e shenjta t\u00eb Dhiat\u00ebs s\u00eb Vjet\u00ebr. M\u00eb pas ata vazhduan n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00eb, p\u00ebr t&#x27;u njohur me asket\u00ebt q\u00eb jetonin atje n\u00eb lutje t\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb. Ata arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb qytetin e shenjt\u00eb, Jerusalem, dhe adhuruan me d\u00ebshir\u00eb Varrin Jet\u00ebdh\u00ebn\u00ebs t\u00eb Zotit. M\u00eb pas ata u ngjit\u00ebn n\u00eb malin Tabor dhe m\u00eb pas arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb Damask, ku takuan Patriarkun e Antiokis\u00eb. Ai u dha atyre nj\u00eb let\u00ebr p\u00ebr Patriarkun e Kostandinopoj\u00ebs dhe i bekoi para se t\u00eb vazhdonin rrug\u00ebn. M\u00eb pas ata u kthyen n\u00eb Jeruzalem, ku Osh\u00ebnar Akakios u s\u00ebmur r\u00ebnd\u00eb dhe ia dor\u00ebzoi n\u00eb paqe shpirtin Zotit. Dishepulli i tij besnik Teofili e varrosi me nderim t\u00eb madh, sipas traditave monastike dhe asketike t\u00eb koh\u00ebs. Meqen\u00ebse Sh\u00ebn ishte nj\u00eb armik ekstrem i gjith\u00eb kot\u00ebsis\u00eb dhe kot\u00ebsis\u00eb s\u00eb bot\u00ebs, ai ndoshta e varrosi n\u00eb ndonj\u00eb vend t\u00eb thjesht\u00eb.
