Disa dit\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb, perandori i mundur u dogj i gjall\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb hambar af\u00ebr Adrianopoj\u00ebs. N\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb Got\u00ebt zbrit\u00ebn nga brigjet e Danubit, pushtuan Thrakin\u00eb dhe k\u00ebrc\u00ebnuan vet\u00eb kryeqytetin. Perandori u detyrua t\u00eb mblidhte trupat e tij dhe t\u00eb marshonte kund\u00ebr barbar\u00ebve. Nd\u00ebrsa Uellsi po largohej nga qyteti me batalionet, shenjtori u v\u00ebrsul para tij dhe iu lut me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb. Ai i k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb rihapte kishat orthodhokse n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb q\u00eb Zoti ta bekonte fushat\u00ebn dhe t&#x27;i jepte fitoren. Perandori e p\u00ebr\u00e7moi plakun dhe vazhdoi me mendjemadh\u00ebsi, sikur t\u00eb mos kishte d\u00ebgjuar asgj\u00eb. T\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen, asketi q\u00ebndroi p\u00ebrs\u00ebri para tij dhe p\u00ebrs\u00ebriti me guxim t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn k\u00ebshill\u00eb profetike. Uellsi u tremb kur e pa at\u00eb t\u00eb gjall\u00eb dhe d\u00ebgjoi qart\u00eb paralajm\u00ebrimin e tmerrsh\u00ebm. \u201cHapni tempujt p\u00ebr t\u00eb fituar, p\u00ebrndryshe nuk do t\u00eb ktheheni, do t\u2019ju \u200b\u200bdjegin t\u00eb gjall\u00eb n\u00eb kasht\u00eb\u201d. Perandori e ngurt\u00ebsoi zemr\u00ebn dhe urdh\u00ebroi senator\u00ebt Saturninus dhe Victor q\u00eb ta mbanin plakun n\u00eb burg. M\u00eb n\u00ebnt\u00eb gusht, treqind e shtat\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e tet\u00eb, pran\u00eb Adrianopoj\u00ebs, ushtria perandorake u p\u00ebrplas me got\u00ebt dhe p\u00ebsoi nj\u00eb disfat\u00eb t\u00eb tmerrshme. Shum\u00eb gjeneral\u00eb ran\u00eb n\u00eb betej\u00eb dhe vet\u00eb Uellsi u plagos r\u00ebnd\u00eb n\u00eb konfuzionin e fluturimit. Ai u strehua me k\u00ebshilltarin e tij marsian n\u00eb nj\u00eb hambar af\u00ebr nj\u00eb fshati, me shpres\u00ebn p\u00ebr t&#x27;u shp\u00ebtuar ndjek\u00ebsve. Disa ushtar\u00eb q\u00eb shp\u00ebtuan u kthyen n\u00eb qytet dhe shkuan n\u00eb burg p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjykuar plakun. Pastaj Teodosi i Madh u ngjit n\u00eb fron dhe d\u00ebgjoi me respekt at\u00eb q\u00eb i than\u00eb p\u00ebr plakun. Perandori i ri e thirri t\u00eb nderuarin me nder t\u00eb madh dhe me p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi i k\u00ebrkoi urimet m\u00eb t\u00eb mira p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjith\u00eb perandorin\u00eb. Pas k\u00ebshill\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, ai i d\u00ebboi arian\u00ebt nga Kostandinopoja dhe ua dor\u00ebzoi tempujt ortodoks\u00ebve. Isaku e konsideroi misionin e tij t\u00eb kryer dhe u p\u00ebrgatit t\u00eb kthehej n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb dashur. Por Saturninus dhe Victor iu lut\u00ebn me lot q\u00eb t\u00eb q\u00ebndronte me ta, p\u00ebr t\u00eb ringjallur jet\u00ebn e vetmuar. M\u00eb n\u00eb fund pranoi me kusht q\u00eb t&#x27;i nd\u00ebrtonin nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb izoluar dhe t\u00eb qet\u00eb, larg zhurmave. Saturninos ofroi nj\u00eb cop\u00eb tok\u00eb af\u00ebr Xirolofos dhe aty u ngrit qelia e par\u00eb e shenjtorit. Rreth tij u mblodh\u00ebn pak nga pak nx\u00ebn\u00ebs\u00eb t\u00eb shumt\u00eb dhe k\u00ebshtu lindi manastiri i par\u00eb i madh i kryeqytetit. Me ndikimin e tij u themeluan v\u00ebllaz\u00ebri t\u00eb tjera n\u00eb qytet dhe n\u00eb periferi, ve\u00e7an\u00ebrisht ajo e Sh\u00ebn Hypatit. Plaku i vizitonte shpesh dhe i p\u00ebrkrahte me m\u00ebsimin dhe shembullin e tij at\u00ebror. Ai kujdesej p\u00ebr t\u00eb varfrit, k\u00ebrkoi ndihm\u00eb nga t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt e pasur dhe madje ua dha rrobat. K\u00ebshtu u b\u00eb babai shpirt\u00ebror i t\u00eb gjitha murgeshave t\u00eb mbret\u00ebris\u00eb. N\u00eb vitet e fundit t\u00eb jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, shenjtori jetoi n\u00eb paqe t\u00eb thell\u00eb n\u00eb manastirin e tij, t\u00eb p\u00ebrkushtuar ndaj lutjes. Zoti iu shfaq p\u00ebr largimin e tij dhe plaku mblodhi rreth tij t\u00eb gjith\u00eb dishepujt e tij t\u00eb dashur. Ai i ngush\u00eblloi me fjal\u00eb dashurie dhe i nxiti t\u00eb q\u00ebndronin t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur n\u00eb besim dhe n\u00eb luft\u00ebn e vetmuar. Ai em\u00ebroi si trash\u00ebgimtarin e tij t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb Dalmatin, nj\u00eb murg t\u00eb virtytsh\u00ebm i respektuar nga e gjith\u00eb v\u00ebllaz\u00ebria. K\u00ebshtu ai ia dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin Per\u00ebndis\u00eb n\u00eb pleq\u00ebri, me qet\u00ebsin\u00eb q\u00eb karakterizon shenjtor\u00ebt e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. I gjith\u00eb populli i Kostandinopoj\u00ebs vajtoi thell\u00eb humbjen e rr\u00ebfimtarit t\u00eb madh dhe plakut mrekullib\u00ebr\u00ebs. N\u00eb katedrale eksodi u krye nga vet\u00eb patriarku, para nj\u00eb turme t\u00eb panum\u00ebrt besimtar\u00ebsh. Aureliani, nj\u00eb oborrtar i devotsh\u00ebm dhe bir shpirt\u00ebror i shenjtorit, d\u00ebrgoi ushtar\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb ruajtur reliktin e shenjt\u00eb. Ata e \u00e7uan me nder n\u00eb katakombet e tempullit q\u00eb ai vet\u00eb kishte ngritur p\u00ebr nder t\u00eb martirit t\u00eb par\u00eb Stefan. Nga emri i Dalmatit, manastiri m\u00eb von\u00eb u quajt Manastiri i Dalmacis\u00eb dhe u b\u00eb nj\u00eb fener i jet\u00ebs s\u00eb vetmuar.
