Jo shum\u00eb koh\u00eb m\u00eb par\u00eb, e nj\u00ebjta grua kishte hedhur posht\u00eb shkall\u00ebt e xhelatit n\u00eb Portat e Bronzit t\u00eb Kostandinopoj\u00ebs dhe kishte shp\u00ebtuar shkurtimisht figur\u00ebn prej bronzi t\u00eb Shp\u00ebtimtarit. Sh\u00ebn Theodosia lindi nga prind\u00ebr t\u00eb pasur, t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm e t\u00eb virtytsh\u00ebm, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt mbet\u00ebn pa f\u00ebmij\u00eb p\u00ebr vite me radh\u00eb dhe k\u00ebrkuan nj\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00eb me agj\u00ebrim, lutje dhe l\u00ebmosh\u00eb. N\u00eb nj\u00eb vigjilje n\u00eb kish\u00ebn e Sh\u00ebn Anastasias, n\u00ebna e saj pa martirin duke i lajm\u00ebruar lindjen e f\u00ebmij\u00ebs s\u00eb saj. T\u00eb prekur nga mrekullia, prind\u00ebrit e saj ia lan\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00ebn Krishtit, n\u00ebse ai do t\u00eb jepte fryt p\u00ebr ta. V\u00ebrtet gruaja mbeti shtatz\u00ebn\u00eb dhe lindi nj\u00eb vajz\u00eb, t\u00eb cil\u00ebn e quajt\u00ebn Teodosia, dometh\u00ebn\u00eb t\u00eb dh\u00ebn\u00eb nga Zoti. Dyzet dit\u00eb pas lindjes, n\u00ebna e solli n\u00eb tempullin e Sh\u00ebns Anastasia, duke e fal\u00ebnderuar me lot g\u00ebzimi p\u00ebr dhurat\u00ebn e jet\u00ebs. Aty i premtoi se do t&#x27;ia kushtonte jet\u00ebs s\u00eb vetmuar dhe korit t\u00eb nimfave t\u00eb virgj\u00ebra t\u00eb Krishtit. Teodozia e vog\u00ebl u rrit n\u00eb nj\u00eb atmosfer\u00eb lutjeje, duke lexuar librat e shenjt\u00eb q\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb vog\u00ebl dhe duke m\u00ebsuar frik\u00ebn ndaj Zotit. Kur ajo ishte shtat\u00eb vje\u00e7e, babai i saj e zuri gjumi dhe n\u00ebna e saj e \u00e7oi n\u00eb manastirin e Sh\u00ebn Anastasias p\u00ebr t\u00eb marr\u00eb form\u00ebn engj\u00ebllore. Pas tre vitesh u largua edhe n\u00ebna e saj duke ia l\u00ebn\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb pasurin\u00eb vajz\u00ebs s\u00eb saj t\u00eb vetme. Por Theodosia nuk mbajti asgj\u00eb p\u00ebr vete, por ia ofroi t\u00eb gjith\u00eb pasurin\u00eb Krishtit dhe t\u00eb varf\u00ebrve. Ai thirri nj\u00eb argjendar dhe i dha aq ar dhe argjend p\u00ebr t\u00eb b\u00ebr\u00eb tre imazhe t\u00eb m\u00ebdha t\u00eb Krishtit Shp\u00ebtimtar, Hyjlind\u00ebs dhe Sh\u00ebn Anastasia. Ajo i vendosi n\u00eb tempullin e manastirit t\u00eb saj, nd\u00ebrsa pjes\u00ebn tjet\u00ebr ua shp\u00ebrndau jetim\u00ebve, t\u00eb vejave dhe nevojtar\u00ebve. Q\u00eb at\u00ebher\u00eb ajo jetoi me agj\u00ebrim t\u00eb rrept\u00eb, lutje t\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb dhe bindje t\u00eb thell\u00eb ndaj abacis\u00eb. Me p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi, but\u00ebsi dhe past\u00ebrti t\u00eb zemr\u00ebs ajo luftoi kund\u00ebr armikut t\u00eb paduksh\u00ebm nd\u00ebrsa veshi armatur\u00ebn e Zotit. Ajo ia tregoi vegimin abaces s\u00eb saj, e cila i kujtoi fjal\u00ebt e Palit, se t\u00eb gjith\u00eb ata q\u00eb duan t\u00eb jetojn\u00eb me devotshm\u00ebri do t\u00eb persekutohen. Pas ca koh\u00ebsh, gjenerali Leo Isaurus rr\u00ebzoi mbretin Theodosius dhe u ngjit n\u00eb fronin perandorak. N\u00eb fillim ai u shfaq i devotsh\u00ebm, por shpejt u shfaq si nj\u00eb Belshazar i ri, duke p\u00ebrdhosur vendet e shenjta dhe duke refuzuar t\u00eb adhuronte imazhet. Ai kujtoi qart\u00eb se Kisha nderon ikonat e viteve t\u00eb kall\u00ebpit t\u00eb punuar me dor\u00eb, q\u00eb Sotiri d\u00ebrgoi n\u00eb Augarin e Edes\u00ebs. Perandori u t\u00ebrbua nga fjalimi i patriarkut dhe e d\u00ebboi me turp dhe sharje nga froni i tij. N\u00eb vend t\u00eb tij ai vendosi heretikun Anastasius, i cili i q\u00ebndroi pran\u00eb si nj\u00eb instrument vullnetar ikonoklastik. Ai urdh\u00ebroi gjithashtu t\u00eb digjej bibliotek\u00ebn e madhe t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Sofis\u00eb, e cila num\u00ebronte rreth treqind mij\u00eb libra. Kostandinopoja u zhyt n\u00eb zi nd\u00ebrsa imazhet u hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb k\u00ebneta dhe u dogj\u00ebn n\u00eb shtyll\u00eb. Mbi t\u00eb ashtuquajturat Porta t\u00eb Bronzit, q\u00eb t\u00eb \u00e7onin n\u00eb pallatet, ishte q\u00eb nga koha e Kostandinit t\u00eb Madh nj\u00eb imazh bronzi i Sotiros, me nj\u00eb jet\u00eb kat\u00ebrqind vjet t\u00eb t\u00ebra. Pseudo-patriarku Anastas vendosi ta zbriste dhe ta d\u00ebrgonte n\u00eb zjarr. K\u00ebshtu ai d\u00ebrgoi ushtar\u00eb me dalta dhe kreu spathario vendosi shkall\u00ebn p\u00ebrball\u00eb portave. Ai filloi t\u00eb ngjitej lart me dalt\u00ebn n\u00eb duar, gati p\u00ebr t\u00eb rr\u00ebzuar imazhin e shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb Krishtit. N\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb kalonin disa gra dhe murgesha t\u00eb devotshme, nd\u00ebr to edhe Teodozia e shenjt\u00eb, plot zell dhe vendosm\u00ebri hyjnore. Me nxitjen e saj, murgeshat vrapuan drejt shkall\u00ebs, e p\u00ebrmbys\u00ebn at\u00eb dhe ushtari ra p\u00ebrtok\u00eb nga nj\u00eb lart\u00ebsi e madhe. I plagosur r\u00ebnd\u00eb, u keqtrajtua aq shum\u00eb sa dha frym\u00ebn e fundit n\u00eb vend. Pastaj grat\u00eb nxituan te patriarku i rrem\u00eb Anastas dhe e quajt\u00ebn at\u00eb ujk, p\u00ebrdhunues, heretik dhe armik t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs s\u00eb Krishtit. Nga frika se mos do t\u00eb shp\u00ebrthente nj\u00eb kryengritje popullore, ai vrapoi te perandori dhe raportoi incidentin n\u00eb portat prej bronzi. Leo urdh\u00ebroi menj\u00ebher\u00eb ushtar\u00ebt me shpata t\u00eb zhveshur p\u00ebr t&#x27;u hakmarr\u00eb p\u00ebr vdekjen e shpatarit dhe fyerjen ndaj patriarkut. Shumica e atyre grave t\u00eb shenjta u pren\u00eb kokat n\u00eb vend p\u00ebr rr\u00ebfimin e tyre. Mir\u00ebpo, Teodosia, si m\u00eb fisniku dhe protagonistja e ngjarjes, u burgos me urdh\u00ebr t\u00eb perandorit. Shtat\u00eb dit\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00ebra e fshikulluan me nj\u00ebqind r\u00ebna n\u00eb dit\u00eb, pa u dridhur nga dhimbja. Dit\u00ebn e tet\u00eb tirani urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb ta rrethonin n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb qytetin dhe ta rrihnin pa m\u00ebshir\u00eb. Kur e \u00e7uan n\u00eb vendin e quajtur Voidagora, ku shiteshin dhe ther\u00ebn kafsh\u00ebt, nj\u00eb ushtar shkeli aksidentalisht bririn e nj\u00eb dhie t\u00eb madhe dhe i l\u00ebndoi k\u00ebmb\u00ebn. N\u00eb t\u00ebrbim e mori at\u00eb bri dhe filloi t\u00eb rrihte me t\u00eb kok\u00ebn e d\u00ebshmorit me t\u00ebrbim t\u00eb madh. M\u00eb n\u00eb fund ai ia doli goditjen fatale n\u00eb qaf\u00eb, duke i shpuar me dhun\u00eb laringun dhe duke i shkaktuar vdekjen. K\u00ebshtu nimfa e shenjt\u00eb e Krishtit e dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin e saj n\u00eb duart e Dh\u00ebndrit t\u00eb saj t\u00eb pavdeksh\u00ebm dhe kaloi n\u00eb dhom\u00ebn qiellore. Ajo u kuror\u00ebzua me nj\u00eb kuror\u00eb t\u00eb dyfisht\u00eb, kuror\u00ebn e virgj\u00ebris\u00eb dhe kuror\u00ebn e martirizimit. Trupi i saj i shum\u00ebvuajtur, i hedhur n\u00eb tok\u00eb, u prit nga t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt e devotsh\u00ebm dhe u varros n\u00eb manastirin e Sh\u00ebns Efimias, af\u00ebr vendit t\u00eb Dexiokratis.
