Ai iu bind pa hezitim, u largua nga bota dhe u nis drejt torturave q\u00eb do ta prisnin dekada m\u00eb von\u00eb n\u00eb burgjet e Kharkiv. Sh\u00ebn Aleksandri, i lindur n\u00eb Theofanevich Petrovskii, lindi n\u00eb qytetin Luk t\u00eb Volinis\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb mij\u00eb e tet\u00ebqind e pes\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e nj\u00eb. Ai studioi p\u00ebr drejt\u00ebsi dhe p\u00ebrfundoi me sukses studimet, por vdekja e n\u00ebn\u00ebs e zhyti n\u00eb pik\u00ebllim. Me dhimbje iu dor\u00ebzua nj\u00eb jete pa mas\u00eb, larg \u00e7do k\u00ebrkimi shpirt\u00ebror e rregulli moral. Por vizioni i n\u00ebn\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, e cila e donte shum\u00eb, ndryshoi gjith\u00eb rrjedh\u00ebn e jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. Aleksandri i ri la pas vetes gj\u00ebrat e k\u00ebsaj bote, hyri n\u00eb manastirin dhe iu kushtua plot\u00ebsisht Krishtit. Konvertimi i tij ishte radikal dhe i sinqert\u00eb, rezultat i bindjes ndaj k\u00ebrkes\u00ebs s\u00eb n\u00ebn\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. K\u00ebshtu nisi me besim t\u00eb admiruesh\u00ebm rrug\u00ebtimi i gjat\u00eb q\u00eb do ta \u00e7onte nga heshtjet e qelive n\u00eb stuhit\u00eb e persekutimeve t\u00eb koh\u00ebs sovjetike. Pas revolucionit t\u00eb vitit 1917, Arkimandriti Aleksand\u00ebr u strehua me prift\u00ebrinj t\u00eb tjer\u00eb n\u00eb manastir\u00ebn Kozelskinsky n\u00eb provinc\u00ebn Poltava. Kishat mbylleshin nj\u00ebra pas tjetr\u00ebs dhe klerik\u00ebt po k\u00ebrkonin vende ku mund t\u00eb mbahej ende adhurimi. P\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb persekutimeve, pes\u00ebdhjet\u00eb murgesha u detyruan t\u00eb largoheshin nga manastiri dhe u strehuan n\u00eb brigjet e lumit Psel. Atje ata themeluan nj\u00eb vetmi t\u00eb p\u00ebrulur, ku Aleksandri mori detyrat e rr\u00ebfimtarit dhe babait shpirt\u00ebror. Kur t\u00eb gjitha manastiret dhe kishat n\u00eb zon\u00eb u mbyll\u00ebn, vetmia mbeti qendra e vetme e jet\u00ebs kishtare. Turma besimtar\u00ebsh u dynd\u00ebn atje p\u00ebr t\u00eb marr\u00eb pjes\u00eb n\u00eb sh\u00ebrbesat e shenjta dhe sakramentet, pavar\u00ebsisht rreziqeve. N\u00eb vitin 1932, autoritetet sovjetike pla\u00e7kit\u00ebn dhe shkat\u00ebrruan k\u00ebt\u00eb vetmi t\u00eb vog\u00ebl. Pas k\u00ebsaj sprove, arkimandriti u shugurua peshkop i Umanskut dhe u bashkua me hierarkin\u00eb n\u00ebn Mitropolitin Sergji Starogorodsky. N\u00eb vitin 1933 ai u transferua n\u00eb selin\u00eb e Vinnytsia dhe kat\u00ebr vjet m\u00eb von\u00eb n\u00eb kryedioqez\u00ebn e Kharkiv, Ukrain\u00eb. Sh\u00ebn Aleksandri fitoi shpejt dashurin\u00eb dhe besimin e tuf\u00ebs s\u00eb tij t\u00eb Kharkivit me personalitetin e tij t\u00eb ngroht\u00eb. Shoq\u00ebrueshm\u00ebria, gjall\u00ebria dhe m\u00ebnyra e tij e but\u00eb i magjepsnin ata q\u00eb i afroheshin p\u00ebr ngush\u00ebllim ose udh\u00ebzim shpirt\u00ebror. Ai kishte gjithashtu dhuntin\u00eb t\u00eb zgjidhte me thjesht\u00ebsi dhe men\u00e7uri mosmarr\u00ebveshjet e famullitar\u00ebve t\u00eb tij dhe guxim frym\u00ebzues. Zgjimi kishtar i Kharkovit dhe zelli i palodhur i Kryepeshkopit shqet\u00ebsoi thell\u00eb autoritetet sovjetike, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt vendos\u00ebn ta ndalonin at\u00eb. M\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e tet\u00eb korrik 1938, ai u arrestua dhe u d\u00ebrgua n\u00eb burg n\u00eb kushte ve\u00e7an\u00ebrisht mizore dhe \u00e7njer\u00ebzore.
