Mjeshtri i tij e vler\u00ebsoi aq shum\u00eb pun\u00ebn e tij, saq\u00eb i ofroi vajz\u00ebn dhe pron\u00ebn e tij, p\u00ebr sa koh\u00eb q\u00eb ai mohoi Krishtin. Neomartiri Pachomius vinte nga Rusia e Vog\u00ebl dhe ishte z\u00ebn\u00eb rob nga mysliman\u00ebt tatar\u00eb, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt e shit\u00ebn si skllav. N\u00eb punishten e tij t\u00eb fabrik\u00ebs s\u00eb l\u00ebkur\u00ebs ai m\u00ebsoi me padurim k\u00ebt\u00eb art, por me vendosm\u00ebri refuzoi t\u00eb konvertohej n\u00eb Islam. P\u00ebr besimin e tij shpesh rrihej dhe privohej nga ushqimi, por ai kurr\u00eb nuk u p\u00ebrkul. Q\u00ebndrimi i tij i vendosur i b\u00ebri aq p\u00ebrshtypje mjeshtrit sa m\u00eb n\u00eb fund e liroi dhe i tha se mund t\u00eb shkonte ku t\u00eb donte. Pak para largimit t\u00eb tij, Pachomius u s\u00ebmur r\u00ebnd\u00eb dhe disa mysliman\u00eb p\u00ebrhap\u00ebn n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb t\u00eb rreme fjal\u00ebn se ai e kishte mohuar Krishtin. P\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb s\u00ebmundjes s\u00eb tij nuk e b\u00ebn\u00eb synet, por e vesh\u00ebn me rroba jeshile, t\u00eb cilat vet\u00ebm musliman\u00ebt kishin t\u00eb drejt\u00eb t&#x27;i mbanin. Kur u sh\u00ebrua, ai udh\u00ebtoi p\u00ebr n\u00eb Smirn\u00eb dhe u b\u00eb tregtar, duke fshehur brenda vetes flak\u00ebn e besimit t\u00eb tij. Pas ca koh\u00ebsh, Pachomius i hodhi rrobat myslimane dhe u ngjit n\u00eb malin Athos, n\u00eb Manastirin e Sh\u00ebn Palit. Aty takoi hieromonkun Jozef, rr\u00ebfeu t\u00eb gjitha sekretet e zemr\u00ebs s\u00eb tij dhe shprehu d\u00ebshir\u00ebn p\u00ebr t&#x27;u b\u00ebr\u00eb murg. Ai jetoi pran\u00eb plakut Jozef plot dymb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vjet, duke ndjekur rrept\u00ebsisht rregullin monastik dhe duke fituar shum\u00eb virtyte. Kur d\u00ebgjoi p\u00ebr Sh\u00ebn Akakiun e Kausokalyvitit, shkoi n\u00eb vetmin\u00eb e tij dhe u b\u00eb vart\u00ebs i plakut Akakios. P\u00ebr gjasht\u00eb vjet ai iu p\u00ebrkushtua lutjes s\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb dhe u b\u00eb shembull i nj\u00eb murgu t\u00eb virtytsh\u00ebm p\u00ebr et\u00ebrit e shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebs. Dita-dit\u00ebs d\u00ebshira p\u00ebr t\u00eb d\u00ebshmuar p\u00ebr Krishtin rritej brenda tij, sepse kishte frik\u00eb se e kishte mohuar Zotin me ndonj\u00eb fjal\u00eb t\u00eb pamenduar gjat\u00eb s\u00ebmundjes s\u00eb tij. Sh\u00ebn Akakiu u p\u00ebrpoq ta pengonte, duke dyshuar se ndoshta kjo d\u00ebshir\u00eb kishte lindur nga krenaria e fshehur. Ajo nuk donte ta linte t\u00eb ikte leht\u00eb dhe vendosi ta testonte vendosm\u00ebrin\u00eb e tij me rregulla dhe bindje t\u00eb reja. P\u00ebr nj\u00eb vit t\u00eb t\u00ebr\u00eb, plaku dhe vart\u00ebsi u lut\u00ebn duke k\u00ebrkuar q\u00eb p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb rast t\u00eb zbulohej vullneti i Zotit. Ata u konsultuan edhe me et\u00ebrit m\u00eb t\u00eb virtytsh\u00ebm t\u00eb malit Athos, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt nj\u00ebz\u00ebri than\u00eb se Pachomius duhet t\u00eb bekohet p\u00ebr martirizimin e tij. Shenjtori hoqi form\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb vetmuar dhe u vesh me rrobat e nj\u00eb t\u00eb krishteri t\u00eb thjesht\u00eb, p\u00ebr t\u00eb mos shkaktuar hakmarrje n\u00eb manastiret athoniane. I shoq\u00ebruar nga plaku Jozef, ai u kthye n\u00eb Usaki, vendi i mohimit t\u00eb tij t\u00eb pretenduar. Jozefi q\u00ebndroi n\u00eb nj\u00eb han, nd\u00ebrsa Pachomius kaloi pran\u00eb sht\u00ebpis\u00eb s\u00eb zot\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb tij t\u00eb vjet\u00ebr dhe kaloi tregun p\u00ebr t&#x27;u njohur. Arrestimi i tij nuk zgjati fare dhe u soll menj\u00ebher\u00eb para magjistratit t\u00eb qytetit. Ai u akuzua p\u00ebr konvertim n\u00eb Islam dhe m\u00eb pas kthim n\u00eb besimin e krishter\u00eb, i cili n\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb d\u00ebnohej me vdekje. Akuzuesit vun\u00eb n\u00eb dukje veshjen e tij t\u00eb krishter\u00eb si prov\u00eb t\u00eb pakund\u00ebrshtueshme, duke b\u00ebrtitur t\u00ebrbuar tek kalimtar\u00ebt. Akuzuesi i tha se nuk i lejohej t\u00eb vishte rroba t\u00eb krishtera, pasi gjoja e kishte mohuar Krishtin m\u00eb par\u00eb. Me nj\u00eb z\u00eb t\u00eb guximsh\u00ebm dhe t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur, Sh\u00ebn Pachomius u p\u00ebrgjigj se ai urrente fen\u00eb e tyre dhe nuk do ta mohonte kurr\u00eb Shp\u00ebtimtarin e tij. Ai madje deklaroi se ishte gati t\u00eb duronte \u00e7do tortur\u00eb dhe t\u00eb vdiste p\u00ebr Krishtin shum\u00eb her\u00eb, n\u00ebse kjo ishte e mundur. E fut\u00ebn n\u00eb burg, ku iu privua ushqimi, gjumi dhe \u00e7do rehati njer\u00ebzore n\u00eb err\u00ebsir\u00eb. Gjat\u00eb gjith\u00eb asaj kohe ai u mb\u00ebshtet vet\u00ebm nga besimi i tij i pal\u00ebkundur te Zoti dhe lutja. Pas tre dit\u00ebsh u d\u00ebnua me vdekje dhe d\u00ebshmori u g\u00ebzua duke i th\u00ebn\u00eb akuzuesit q\u00eb ta zbatonte menj\u00ebher\u00eb d\u00ebnimin. Ai u t\u00ebrhoq zvarr\u00eb i lidhur deri n\u00eb vendin e ekzekutimit, nd\u00ebrsa turqit nga turma e shanin, e p\u00ebshtynin dhe i k\u00ebrkonin t\u00eb konvertohej n\u00eb Islam. Kur u gjunj\u00ebzua p\u00ebr prerjen e kok\u00ebs, edhe xhelati iu lut q\u00eb t&#x27;i falte jet\u00ebn duke mohuar besimin. Shenjtori q\u00ebndroi i pal\u00ebkundur dhe i tha q\u00eb ta zbatonte urdhrin e tij pa vones\u00eb. D\u00ebshmorit fitimtar iu pre koka m\u00eb 7 maj 1730, dit\u00ebn e Ngjitjes s\u00eb Zotit. Trupi i tij q\u00ebndroi i ekspozuar ndaj elementeve p\u00ebr tre dit\u00eb dhe m\u00eb pas ortodoks\u00ebt u lejuan ta varrosnin me nderim. Menj\u00ebher\u00eb pas varrimit, xhelati u pushtua dhe vrapoi n\u00ebp\u00ebr qytet duke b\u00ebrtitur dhe duke shkum\u00ebzuar dhe vdiq pas disa dit\u00ebsh. Plaku Jozef doli nga bujtina ku fshihej dhe shkoi n\u00eb vendin ku ishte trupi i martirit t\u00eb ri. Ai foli me Pachomius si t\u00eb ishte ende gjall\u00eb, duke th\u00ebn\u00eb se kishte arritur at\u00eb q\u00eb d\u00ebshironte zemra e tij. Ai i k\u00ebrkoi t&#x27;i sh\u00ebrbente Zotit p\u00ebr t\u00eb dhe p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjith\u00eb ata q\u00eb do t\u00eb th\u00ebrrisnin emrin e tij n\u00eb nevoj\u00eb. Por babai Jozefi ishte i shqet\u00ebsuar se si mund t\u00eb largohej nga ajo zon\u00eb pa u kapur nga turqit. At\u00ebher\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Pachomius u shfaq n\u00eb \u00ebnd\u00ebrr dhe i tha t\u00eb mos kishte frik\u00eb, sepse nuk do t&#x27;i ndodhte asnj\u00eb e keqe rrug\u00ebs. Duke i besuar fjal\u00ebve t\u00eb shenjtorit, plaku u largua nga qyteti dhe u kthye n\u00eb malin Athos pa asnj\u00eb v\u00ebshtir\u00ebsi. Nj\u00eb grua e krishter\u00eb nga kjo zon\u00eb, e cila vuante prej vitesh nga dhimbjet e forta t\u00eb kok\u00ebs, iu lut martirit t\u00eb ri Pachomius dhe k\u00ebrkoi ndihm\u00ebn e tij. Ajo vuri pak gjak t\u00eb d\u00ebshmorit n\u00eb kok\u00eb dhe menj\u00ebher\u00eb u sh\u00ebrua nga s\u00ebmundja e saj e kahershme. M\u00eb pas ajo u shkroi murgjve t\u00eb Athosit dhe iu lut q\u00eb t\u00eb pikturonin nj\u00eb figur\u00eb t\u00eb shenjtorit p\u00ebr hir t\u00eb saj. P\u00ebr shkak se e kishin njohur gjat\u00eb koh\u00ebs q\u00eb jetonte atje, kujtuan tiparet e tij dhe ia dol\u00ebn t\u00eb pikturonin imazhin e tij. Gruaja e priti me nderim ikon\u00ebn dhe e nderoi kujtimin e tij \u00e7do vit n\u00eb p\u00ebrvjetorin e martirizimit. M\u00eb von\u00eb, lipsanet e shenjta t\u00eb shenjtorit u transferuan n\u00eb Manastirin e Agios Joannis, n\u00eb ishullin Patmos, ku ruhen me respekt. M\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e gjasht\u00eb janar 1953, manastiri i Patmosit i dha nj\u00eb pjes\u00eb t\u00eb relikteve t\u00eb tij Manastirit t\u00eb Agios Pavli. Ky manastir i Athosit ka qen\u00eb vendi ku shenjtori jetonte prej vitesh si murg.
