Vet\u00eb djali i Dioklecianit, i dashuruar pas saj, vrau veten me shpat\u00ebn e tij kur ajo i deklaroi se i p\u00ebrkiste ekskluzivisht Krishtit. Ai erdhi nga Tarsusi i Kilikis\u00eb dhe jetoi koh\u00ebt e v\u00ebshtira t\u00eb persekutimit, n\u00eb nj\u00eb koh\u00eb kur Roma ishte e zhytur n\u00eb idhujtari. Q\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb re ajo takoi Per\u00ebndin\u00eb e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet nj\u00eb gruaje t\u00eb krishter\u00eb dhe zemra e saj ishte flak\u00ebruar nga dashuria p\u00ebr Krishtin. Por n\u00ebna e saj ishte e fiksuar pas pasuris\u00eb dhe zakoneve pagane t\u00eb koh\u00ebs s\u00eb saj. Kur d\u00ebgjoi se t\u00eb rejat fisnike t\u00eb Rom\u00ebs po ua shp\u00ebrndanin pasurin\u00eb e tyre t\u00eb varf\u00ebrve, ajo ndaloi \u00e7do t\u00eb krishter\u00eb t\u00eb shkelte n\u00eb pragun e sht\u00ebpis\u00eb s\u00eb saj. Pavar\u00ebsisht ndalimeve, Pelagia arriti t\u00eb takonte disa vajza besnike q\u00eb m\u00ebsonin fjal\u00ebn e Ungjillit n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e peshkopit Eusebius. Q\u00eb nga ai moment jeta e saj mori nj\u00eb drejtim krejt\u00ebsisht t\u00eb ri, edhe pse gjith\u00e7ka dukej nj\u00ebsoj n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e babait t\u00eb saj. Nj\u00eb nat\u00eb Pelagia pa nj\u00eb vizion t\u00eb gjall\u00eb q\u00eb sh\u00ebnoi shpirtin e saj p\u00ebrgjithmon\u00eb. Peshkopi Eusebius doli para saj dhe i tregoi fondin e pag\u00ebzimit. N\u00eb m\u00ebngjes, pa i treguar asgj\u00eb n\u00ebn\u00ebs s\u00eb saj, ajo vrapoi te njeriu i shenjt\u00eb dhe i tregoi me emocion at\u00eb q\u00eb kishte par\u00eb n\u00eb gjum\u00eb. Peshkopi e njohu thirrjen e Zotit dhe e pag\u00ebzoi at\u00eb n\u00eb em\u00ebr t\u00eb Trinis\u00eb s\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb. Q\u00eb nga ajo dit\u00eb vajza e re refuzoi t\u00eb vishte s\u00ebrish rrobat e saj t\u00eb shtrenjta dhe bizhuterit\u00eb luksoze. Ai shiti at\u00eb q\u00eb kishte dhe t\u00eb gjitha parat\u00eb ua shp\u00ebrndau t\u00eb varf\u00ebrve dhe t\u00eb uriturve t\u00eb qytetit. N\u00eb vend t\u00eb fustaneve t\u00eb m\u00ebndafshta u vesh veshja e bardh\u00eb dhe e p\u00ebrulur e virgj\u00ebreshave t\u00eb pag\u00ebzuara t\u00eb Krishtit. Ajo shpresonte se n\u00ebna e saj do t\u00eb zbutej me shikimin e besimit t\u00eb saj t\u00eb sinqert\u00eb dhe g\u00ebzimit n\u00eb fytyr\u00ebn e saj. Por ajo mbeti e ashp\u00ebr dhe e pal\u00ebkundur p\u00ebrball\u00eb drit\u00ebs s\u00eb re t\u00eb vajz\u00ebs s\u00eb saj. Ai deklaroi me hidh\u00ebrim se do ta priste p\u00ebrs\u00ebri vet\u00ebm n\u00ebse ajo do ta mohonte publikisht Krishtin. Pelagia u p\u00ebrgjigj me vendosm\u00ebri se ishte gati t\u00eb derdhte gjakun e saj p\u00ebr besimin. Kur n\u00ebna e kuptoi se lutjet dhe k\u00ebrc\u00ebnimet e saj nuk soll\u00ebn asnj\u00eb rezultat, vendosi t\u00eb denoncoj\u00eb rastin. K\u00ebshtu ai njoftoi djalin e Dioklecianit, i cili i kishte k\u00ebrkuar Pelagjis\u00eb q\u00eb t\u00eb ishte gruaja e tij. I riu, i m\u00ebrzitur nga lajmi, u p\u00ebrpoq me fjal\u00eb dhe premtime t\u00eb bind\u00eb vajz\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb dashur. Por p\u00ebrgjigja e shenjtorit ishte e qart\u00eb dhe pa hezitim. Ajo i tha atij se n\u00ebse donte v\u00ebrtet t\u00eb martohej me t\u00eb, s\u00eb pari duhej t\u00eb b\u00ebhej i krishter\u00eb. Por si mund t\u00eb b\u00ebhej i krishter\u00eb djali i perandorit q\u00eb u mbyt n\u00eb gjakun e besimtar\u00ebve t\u00eb Krishtit? I d\u00ebshp\u00ebruar dhe konflikti tragjik i ndjenjave t\u00eb tij, i riu nxori shpat\u00ebn dhe vrau veten. Vet\u00ebvrasja e djalit t\u00eb tij zem\u00ebroi Dioklecianin, i cili urdh\u00ebroi menj\u00ebher\u00eb arrestimin e Pelagjis\u00eb. Kur e soll\u00ebn para tij, ai e thirri q\u00eb t\u00eb flijonte p\u00ebr idhujt dhe t&#x27;i shp\u00ebtonte jet\u00ebn. Shenjtorja refuzoi me kok\u00ebfort\u00ebsi dhe rr\u00ebfeu se kishte njohur t\u00eb vetmin Zot t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. M\u00eb pas, perandori urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t\u00eb q\u00ebllohej nj\u00eb sh\u00ebmb\u00eblltyr\u00eb prej bronzi e nj\u00eb demi dhe t\u00eb mbyllej brenda. Shenjtorja shkoi n\u00eb martirizimin e tmerrsh\u00ebm me qet\u00ebsi dhe g\u00ebzim, si nj\u00eb nuse q\u00eb p\u00ebrgatitet t\u00eb takoj\u00eb t\u00eb dashurin e saj. Ajo b\u00ebri shenj\u00ebn e kryqit mbi vete dhe hyri e vetme n\u00eb en\u00ebn e bakrit t\u00eb ndezur, e paprekur nga duart e xhelat\u00ebve. N\u00eb flak\u00eb ajo ngriti z\u00ebrin dhe lavd\u00ebroi Krishtin Shp\u00ebtimtar p\u00ebr forc\u00ebn q\u00eb i dha. Trupi i saj u shkri n\u00eb metalin e djegur si mirr\u00eb aromatike dhe mbushi gjith\u00eb qytetin me nj\u00eb arom\u00eb qiellore. K\u00ebshtu ai e meritoi kuror\u00ebn amarantike t\u00eb martirizimit, me t\u00eb cil\u00ebn Dh\u00ebndri i pavdeksh\u00ebm zbukuron shpirtrat e shenjtor\u00ebve t\u00eb tij. Eshtrat e saj t\u00eb septave u hodh\u00ebn jasht\u00eb qytetit me urdh\u00ebr t\u00eb perandorit, n\u00eb nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb shkret\u00eb dhe malor. M\u00eb pas, kat\u00ebr luan\u00eb zbrit\u00ebn nga shkret\u00ebtira dhe u ul\u00ebn roje rreth faltoreve lipsane. Ata nuk lejuan asnj\u00eb shkab apo kafsh\u00eb t\u00eb eg\u00ebr q\u00eb t&#x27;i afrohej dhe t&#x27;i ofendonte.
