Trupi i saj i pakorruptuesh\u00ebm mban er\u00eb aromatik edhe sot e k\u00ebsaj dite n\u00eb kish\u00ebn e Sh\u00ebn Paraskevis\u00eb, n\u00eb Kostandinopoj\u00eb. Sh\u00ebn Argyri lindi n\u00eb Bursa t\u00eb Bitinis\u00eb, nga nj\u00eb familje t\u00eb krishter\u00ebsh t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm q\u00eb e rrit\u00ebn me besim dhe virtyt. Ishte nj\u00eb vajz\u00eb e ve\u00e7ant\u00eb, me bukuri t\u00eb rrall\u00eb dhe me shpirt t\u00eb past\u00ebr, q\u00eb binte n\u00eb sy t\u00eb gjith\u00eb atyre q\u00eb e shihnin. N\u00eb mosh\u00ebn tet\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vje\u00e7 ajo u martua me nj\u00eb djal\u00eb t\u00eb ri t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm dhe \u00e7ifti u vendos n\u00eb nj\u00eb lagje ku jetonin kryesisht mysliman\u00eb turq. Vet\u00ebm pak dit\u00eb pas martes\u00ebs s\u00eb saj, jeta e saj do t\u00eb merrte nj\u00eb kthes\u00eb dramatike q\u00eb askush nuk e priste. Djali i Kadiut, gjykat\u00ebsit mysliman t\u00eb zon\u00ebs, e pa dhe e kishte mall p\u00ebr t\u00eb me nj\u00eb pasion t\u00eb dhunsh\u00ebm. K\u00ebshtu ai iu afrua me guxim Argjirit dhe i tha se e d\u00ebshironte at\u00eb, duke i k\u00ebrkuar q\u00eb t\u00eb ndryshonte besimin e saj dhe t\u00eb b\u00ebhej e tija. Por ajo u p\u00ebrgjigj me vendosm\u00ebri se parap\u00eblqente vdekjen nj\u00eb mij\u00eb her\u00eb sesa t\u00eb martohej me nj\u00eb pagan. Ajo nuk guxoi t\u00eb fliste me burrin e saj, sepse kishte frik\u00eb se ai do t\u00eb sulmonte turkun dhe do t&#x27;i dilte keq. K\u00ebshtu ajo e mbajti brenda saj dhimbjen dhe ankthin. Myslimani i refuzuar, i mbushur me hakmarrje dhe urrejtje, e \u00e7oi at\u00eb n\u00eb gjykat\u00eb me akuza t\u00eb rreme dhe keqdash\u00ebse. Ai pohoi se Argyri i kishte pranuar propozimet e tij, por m\u00eb pas qeshi me t\u00eb duke th\u00ebn\u00eb se po b\u00ebnte vet\u00ebm shaka. Pseudomartira e bler\u00eb konfirmoi akuz\u00ebn dhe lajmi i pafajsh\u00ebm u hodh menj\u00ebher\u00eb n\u00eb burg pa asnj\u00eb mund\u00ebsi mbrojtjeje. Burri i saj, i d\u00ebshp\u00ebruar p\u00ebr nj\u00eb gjykim t\u00eb drejt\u00eb, apeloi dhe \u00e7\u00ebshtja u transferua n\u00eb Stamboll. Aty kall\u00ebzuesi p\u00ebrs\u00ebriti t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtat g\u00ebnjeshtra para gjyqtarit t\u00eb ri, pa asnj\u00eb gjurm\u00eb turpi apo pendimi. Sh\u00ebnja u ngrit dhe rr\u00ebfeu me sfid\u00eb se ishte e krishter\u00eb dhe se nuk do ta mohonte kurr\u00eb Krishtin e saj. Gjykat\u00ebsi menj\u00ebher\u00eb urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb ajo t\u00eb fshihej ashp\u00ebr dhe m\u00eb pas e d\u00ebnoi me burgim t\u00eb p\u00ebrjetsh\u00ebm n\u00eb burgun e qytetit. Nga ai moment filloi nj\u00eb tortur\u00eb q\u00eb zgjati shtat\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vjet t\u00eb t\u00ebra, pa pushim dhe pa shpres\u00eb njer\u00ebzore. Shpesh e nxirrnin nga qelia p\u00ebr t&#x27;u marr\u00eb n\u00eb pyetje dhe p\u00ebr ta rrahur, e m\u00eb pas e kthenin t\u00eb th\u00ebrrmuar n\u00eb err\u00ebsir\u00eb. T\u00eb burgosurit mysliman\u00eb, t\u00eb burgosur p\u00ebr krimet e tyre, e mallkonin dhe e torturonin \u00e7do dit\u00eb n\u00eb \u00e7do m\u00ebnyr\u00eb. T\u00eb ligjt\u00eb i nxit\u00ebn kund\u00ebr saj, por Sh\u00ebn e duroi \u00e7do gj\u00eb me nj\u00eb durim t\u00eb admiruesh\u00ebm dhe paqe mendore. Grat\u00eb e krishtera q\u00eb ndan\u00eb burgun me t\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb dhan\u00eb d\u00ebshmi trondit\u00ebse p\u00ebr jet\u00ebn e saj atje. Thuhej se ajo e p\u00ebrul trupin me agj\u00ebrim t\u00eb rrept\u00eb dhe lutje t\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb, duke k\u00ebrkuar vet\u00ebm Dh\u00ebndrin e shpirtit t\u00eb saj. Zemra e saj ishte e mbushur me nj\u00eb dashuri t\u00eb till\u00eb p\u00ebr Krishtin, saq\u00eb ajo i konsideronte vuajtjet e saj ngush\u00ebllime dhe dhurata qiellore. Nj\u00eb her\u00eb, nj\u00eb i krishter\u00eb i devotsh\u00ebm, Manolis Kiourtzibasis, i tha asaj se do t\u00eb p\u00ebrpiqej ta lironte me \u00e7do mjet. Por Sh\u00ebnja nuk pranoi me k\u00ebmb\u00ebngulje, sepse donte t\u00eb p\u00ebrfundonte stadin e saj n\u00eb burg, p\u00ebr hir t\u00eb Krishtit. K\u00ebshtu ajo e dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin atje, duke marr\u00eb kuror\u00ebn e martirizimit m\u00eb 5 prill t\u00eb nj\u00eb mij\u00eb e shtat\u00ebqind e nj\u00ebzet e nj\u00eb. Pas disa vitesh besimtar\u00ebt hap\u00ebn varrin e saj dhe pan\u00eb nj\u00eb mrekulli trondit\u00ebse dhe t\u00eb pashpres\u00eb. Trupi i saj ishte i plot\u00eb dhe i pathyesh\u00ebm, nd\u00ebrsa l\u00ebshonte nj\u00eb arom\u00eb t\u00eb pap\u00ebrshkrueshme q\u00eb mbushte gjith\u00eb hap\u00ebsir\u00ebn p\u00ebrreth. Prift\u00ebrinjt\u00eb e nderuar dhe laik\u00ebt i transferuan faltoret e lipsanit n\u00eb kish\u00ebn e Sh\u00ebn Paraskevis\u00eb, m\u00eb 30 prill nj\u00ebmij\u00eb e shtat\u00ebqind e tridhjet\u00eb e pes\u00eb. Transferimi u b\u00eb me lejen e Patriarkut Paisi i Dyt\u00eb, n\u00eb nj\u00eb atmosfer\u00eb solemniteti dhe nderimi solemn.
