Disa vjet m\u00eb von\u00eb, n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn nj\u00ebzet e dy, ai e shk\u00ebmbeu ngjyr\u00ebn vjollce mbret\u00ebrore me thesin e flok\u00ebve t\u00eb murgut n\u00eb shk\u00ebmbinjt\u00eb e Meteor\u00ebs. K\u00ebshtu, midis n\u00ebntorit 1372 dhe qershorit t\u00eb vitit pasardh\u00ebs, ai iku n\u00eb Meteora. N\u00eb Manastirin e Shp\u00ebrfytyrimit, ai pranoi form\u00ebn monastike dhe u quajt Ioasaf, duke praktikuar pran\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Athanasi Meteorit. Asketi i madh e dalloi menj\u00ebher\u00eb thell\u00ebsin\u00eb e shpirtit t\u00eb ish-mbretit t\u00eb ri dhe e deshi at\u00eb si f\u00ebmij\u00ebn e tij shpirt\u00ebror. Pak para gjumit, Osh\u00ebnar Athanasi, duke vler\u00ebsuar personalitetin e Joasafit dhe duke pasur p\u00eblqimin e v\u00ebllaz\u00ebris\u00eb, i dha atij gjith\u00eb autoritetin dhe juridiksionin. Ai zyrtarisht e b\u00ebri pasardh\u00ebs t\u00eb tij n\u00eb abatin e manastirit, i bindur se do t\u00eb vazhdonte me dinjitet pun\u00ebn q\u00eb kishte nisur. Me gjith\u00eb vitet e tij t\u00eb shkurtra t\u00eb sh\u00ebrbimit t\u00eb vetmuar, Joasafi zot\u00ebronte aft\u00ebsi dalluese dhe pjekuri t\u00eb rrall\u00eb shpirt\u00ebrore. Pak koh\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb, dhe p\u00ebr arsye q\u00eb mbeten t\u00eb panjohura, Osh\u00ebnar Ioasaf u largua nga manastiri dhe u zhvendos n\u00eb Selanik rreth vitit 1380 pas Krishtit. Tomas Preliubovic, despot i qytetit, ishte vrar\u00eb dhe qytetar\u00ebt shpall\u00ebn guvernator t\u00eb despotizmit gruan e tij dhe motr\u00ebn e Joasafit, Maria Angelina. K\u00ebshtu, me ftes\u00eb, Osh\u00ebnari nxitoi p\u00ebr n\u00eb Janin\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb mb\u00ebshtetur motr\u00ebn e tij n\u00eb qeverisjen e v\u00ebshtir\u00eb t\u00eb shtetit. Pavar\u00ebsisht nga detyrimet e k\u00ebsaj bote, ai kurr\u00eb nuk e harroi thirrjen e tij t\u00eb vetmuar dhe shpejt u kthye n\u00eb shenjt\u00ebroren e tij t\u00eb dashur. Aty vazhdoi me zell p\u00ebr vite me radh\u00eb pun\u00ebn e tij intelektuale dhe konstruktive. Sipas d\u00ebshmive t\u00eb ruajtura n\u00eb biografin\u00eb e Sh\u00ebn Athanasit, Osh\u00ebnar Ioasaf zgjati gjat\u00ebsin\u00eb dhe lart\u00ebsin\u00eb e tempullit origjinal t\u00eb Shp\u00ebrfytyrimit t\u00eb Shp\u00ebtimtarit. Ai e rind\u00ebrtoi at\u00eb m\u00eb t\u00eb shndritsh\u00ebm dhe m\u00eb imponues se n\u00eb vitet e themeluesit t\u00eb par\u00eb, duke i dh\u00ebn\u00eb form\u00ebn q\u00eb ruhet deri m\u00eb sot.
