Vet\u00eb Jeronimi e renditi at\u00eb nd\u00ebr njer\u00ebzit e shquar t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs p\u00ebr men\u00e7urin\u00eb dhe shkrimin e tij. Sh\u00ebn Theotimos vinte nga Dakia Pontike dhe mbante brenda vetes trash\u00ebgimin\u00eb e dyfisht\u00eb t\u00eb tradit\u00ebs romake dhe vendase. Ai jetoi n\u00eb fund t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb kat\u00ebrt pas Krishtit dhe u em\u00ebrua peshkop i qytetit t\u00eb Tomeos n\u00eb Skithin\u00eb e Vog\u00ebl, pran\u00eb gryk\u00ebs s\u00eb Danubit. Para se t\u00eb arrinte sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebn ipeshkvore, ai ishte n\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin manastir me Sh\u00ebn Joani Kasianusin dhe Sh\u00ebn Gjermanin. Tradita e konsideron at\u00eb si m\u00ebsuesin e tyre dhe ai u dha atyre dashurin\u00eb p\u00ebr jet\u00ebn dhe studimin e qet\u00eb. Diku midis viteve 385 dhe 399 ai pasoi Agios Germanos n\u00eb fronin ipeshkvnor t\u00eb Dioqez\u00ebs. Ai mori drejtimin e nj\u00eb Kishe t\u00eb vog\u00ebl n\u00eb num\u00ebr, por t\u00eb guximshme n\u00eb shpirt, t\u00eb ekspozuar ndaj bastisjeve t\u00eb racave barbare. Q\u00eb n\u00eb momentin e par\u00eb ishte e qart\u00eb se ai nuk do t\u00eb b\u00ebhej bari i atij vendi me mjetet e k\u00ebsaj bote, por me shenjt\u00ebrin\u00eb dhe fjal\u00ebn e tij. Ai e p\u00ebrshkruan at\u00eb si nj\u00eb bari t\u00eb mir\u00eb, nj\u00eb teolog t\u00eb men\u00e7ur dhe nj\u00eb shkrimtar t\u00eb talentuar t\u00eb koh\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. Ai v\u00ebren gjithashtu se shenjtori shkruante tekste t\u00eb shkurtra n\u00eb form\u00eb dialogu, me gjuh\u00eb t\u00eb gjall\u00eb dhe figurative. N\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet k\u00ebtyre veprave shihet edukimi i tij i thell\u00eb n\u00eb retorik\u00ebn dhe filozofin\u00eb e koh\u00ebs. N\u00eb tekstet e tij, Theotimos flet p\u00ebr rolin e mendjes dhe t\u00eb zemr\u00ebs n\u00eb lutjen e besimtarit. Ajo ve\u00e7on pun\u00ebn mendore, v\u00ebmendjen dhe p\u00ebrqendrimin e zemr\u00ebs si qend\u00ebr t\u00eb jet\u00ebs shpirt\u00ebrore. Ndoshta kjo \u00ebsht\u00eb arsyeja pse tradita rumune e njeh at\u00eb si babain e Filokalis\u00eb s\u00eb saj. Osh\u00ebnar Joanii i Damaskenit m\u00eb von\u00eb ruajti fragmente t\u00eb vogla nga k\u00ebto fjalime t\u00eb shkurtra t\u00eb tij. Quhen fjalime t\u00eb shkurtra dhe partiake dhe gjenden n\u00eb vepr\u00ebn e Damaskenit me titull Paralele. D\u00ebshmia e mbijetuar \u00ebsht\u00eb e pak\u00ebt, por e mjaftueshme p\u00ebr t\u00eb treguar shpirt\u00ebroren dhe edukimin e thell\u00eb t\u00eb hierarkut. Historian\u00ebt e lasht\u00eb, p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjitha k\u00ebto arsye, i dhan\u00eb titullin e nderit Filozof. Jeta e Agios Theotimos nuk ishte aspak e qet\u00eb gjat\u00eb atyre dekadave t\u00eb trazuara. N\u00eb kufijt\u00eb verior\u00eb t\u00eb Skithis\u00eb, hordhit\u00eb e racave barbare enden vazhdimisht, duke pla\u00e7kitur fshatrat. Hun\u00ebt zbrit\u00ebn nga stepat dhe k\u00ebrc\u00ebnuan popullsin\u00eb e krishter\u00eb rreth Danubit. Shum\u00eb her\u00eb peshkopi duroi mundime dhe rreziqe nga bastisjet e k\u00ebtyre popujve t\u00eb eg\u00ebr. Por ai i fitoi me shenjt\u00ebrin\u00eb e jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij dhe me mrekullit\u00eb q\u00eb Per\u00ebndia kreu n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet tij.
