Kur u pyet\u00ebn se ku i ruajn\u00eb Shkrimet, ata u p\u00ebrgjigj\u00ebn se jan\u00eb n\u00eb mendjen e tyre dhe askush nuk mund t&#x27;i marr\u00eb ato. Agapi, Irini dhe Chionia vinin nga nj\u00eb familje e pasur dhe e shquar e qytetit. Ata u rrit\u00ebn n\u00eb devotshm\u00ebri dhe refuzuan shum\u00eb propozime p\u00ebr martes\u00eb, pasi ia kishin kthyer zemr\u00ebn t\u00ebr\u00ebsisht Krishtit Dh\u00ebndrit. Kur perandori Dioklecian nxori dekretin q\u00eb ndalonte mbajtjen e Shkrimeve t\u00eb Shenjta n\u00ebp\u00ebr sht\u00ebpi, tre virgj\u00ebreshat u larguan nga qyteti p\u00ebr t\u00eb mos humbur Librat e \u00e7muar. Ik\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb mal t\u00eb lart\u00eb, pran\u00eb nj\u00eb liqeni, ku jetonte asketi Zoilos, nj\u00eb plak i devotsh\u00ebm. Ata i kalonin dit\u00ebt atje n\u00eb lutje, agj\u00ebrim dhe lavd\u00ebrim gjat\u00eb gjith\u00eb nat\u00ebs, megjith\u00ebse trupat e tyre ishin n\u00eb mal, shpirti i tyre mbeti i kthyer p\u00ebrgjithmon\u00eb drejt qiellit. Zoti i zbuloi asketit vendin ku shtriheshin eshtrat e martirit Chrysogenos, babait shpirt\u00ebror t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Anastasia Farmacolytria, t\u00eb cilit i ishte prer\u00eb koka nga persekutor\u00ebt pak m\u00eb par\u00eb. Pas disa dit\u00ebsh, plakut iu shfaq martiri Krisogon dhe i tregoi se \u00e7far\u00eb do t\u00eb ndodhte. Ai i tha se pas n\u00ebnt\u00eb dit\u00ebsh t\u00eb tri virgj\u00ebreshat do t\u00eb arrestoheshin dhe do t\u00eb ofronin jet\u00ebn p\u00ebr hir t\u00eb Krishtit s\u00eb bashku me Sh\u00ebn Anastasin\u00eb. D\u00ebshmori i madh nuk vonoi t\u00eb arrinte n\u00eb vendin ku banonin t\u00eb tri motrat. I p\u00ebrqafoi me p\u00ebrzem\u00ebrsi dhe i mb\u00ebshteti mend\u00ebrisht, q\u00eb t\u00eb q\u00ebndronin t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur deri n\u00eb fund t\u00eb luft\u00ebs s\u00eb tyre p\u00ebr besim. Ajo u premtoi atyre mb\u00ebshtetjen e saj, edhe pse kjo e vuri veten n\u00eb rrezik t\u00eb madh. Kur u p\u00ebrmbush\u00ebn dit\u00ebt e parath\u00ebn\u00eb, ushtar\u00ebt e perandorit zbuluan vendin ku fshiheshin dhe menj\u00ebher\u00eb i \u00e7uan motrat te sundimtari i Maqedonis\u00eb, Dulcetius. Ata soll\u00ebn me vete tre t\u00eb reja t\u00eb tjera t\u00eb krishtera, Kasia, Filipa dhe Eutikia, si dhe nj\u00eb i ri, Agathon. Sundimtari i trajtoi ata me mizori dhe u k\u00ebrkoi atyre t&#x27;u binden dekreteve t\u00eb perandor\u00ebve dhe cezar\u00ebve. Pastaj iu drejtua Agathonit, duke e pyetur pse nuk kishte pranuar t\u00eb hante ushqime idhujtare, si besnik\u00ebt e per\u00ebndive t\u00eb shtetit. Virgj\u00ebresha e re deklaroi se beson n\u00eb Zotin e gjall\u00eb dhe nuk d\u00ebshiron t\u00eb humbas\u00eb d\u00ebshmin\u00eb e nj\u00eb nd\u00ebrgjegjeje t\u00eb past\u00ebr. Irene nga ana e saj u p\u00ebrgjigj se arsyeja e refuzimit t\u00eb saj ishte frika nga Zoti i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. Chionia v\u00ebrtetoi me t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtat fjal\u00eb besimin e saj t\u00eb thell\u00eb dhe q\u00ebndrueshm\u00ebrin\u00eb e rr\u00ebfimit t\u00eb saj. Cassia tha se d\u00ebshironte t\u00eb shp\u00ebtonte shpirtin e saj, nd\u00ebrsa Philippa deklaroi se m\u00eb mir\u00eb t\u00eb vdiste sesa t\u00eb prekte nj\u00eb idhull. Eutichia tregoi t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin guxim, por gjyqtari e mbajti n\u00eb burg, pasi ishte n\u00eb muajin e shtat\u00eb t\u00eb shtatz\u00ebnis\u00eb dhe nuk mund t&#x27;i q\u00ebndronte zjarrit. Dulcetios vazhdoi marrjen n\u00eb pyetje dhe u p\u00ebrpoq p\u00ebrs\u00ebri t\u00eb bindte Agapin me fjal\u00eb e premtime t\u00eb \u00ebmbla. Ajo u p\u00ebrgjigj se nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb e p\u00ebrshtatshme t&#x27;i n\u00ebnshtrohet Satanit dhe se vendimi i saj mbetet i parevokuesh\u00ebm. Kur u pyet se kush i kishte joshur n\u00eb nj\u00eb obsesion t\u00eb till\u00eb, Chionia u p\u00ebrgjigj se ishte Per\u00ebndia i plotfuqish\u00ebm dhe Biri i Tij i vet\u00ebmlindur, Zoti Jisu Krisht. Sundimtari, duke par\u00eb se nuk arrinte asgj\u00eb, mori nj\u00eb vendim t\u00eb ashp\u00ebr ndaj dy v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve m\u00eb t\u00eb m\u00ebdhenj. Ai urdh\u00ebroi t\u00eb digjnin t\u00eb gjall\u00eb Agapin dhe Kionin\u00eb, sepse ata k\u00ebmb\u00ebngul\u00ebn n\u00eb besimin e t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve dhe u rezistuan dekreteve t\u00eb Augustian\u00ebve. P\u00ebr m\u00eb t\u00eb rinjt\u00eb, Agathon, Irene, Kassia dhe Philippa, ai vendosi t\u00eb q\u00ebndronte p\u00ebrkoh\u00ebsisht n\u00eb burg p\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb mosh\u00ebs s\u00eb re. Kur i \u00e7uan dy shenjtor\u00ebt n\u00eb vendin e ekzekutimit, ata fal\u00ebnderuan Zotin p\u00ebr thirrjen e tyre martire dhe dor\u00ebzuan shpirtrat e tyre t\u00eb past\u00ebr n\u00eb flak\u00eb. Por zjarri nuk i preku as trupat e as rrobat e tyre, pasi fytyrat e tyre shk\u00eblqenin si t\u00eb flinin t\u00eb qet\u00eb. T\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen ushtar\u00ebt e \u00e7uan p\u00ebrs\u00ebri Iren\u00ebn n\u00eb gjykat\u00eb, me akuz\u00ebn se Librat e shenjt\u00eb u gjet\u00ebn n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e saj. Dulketios e k\u00ebrc\u00ebnoi me vdekje, por i premtoi se do ta shp\u00ebtonte n\u00ebse do t\u00eb pranonte t\u00eb flijonte p\u00ebr idhujt. Shenjtori refuzoi me vendosm\u00ebri, duke th\u00ebn\u00eb se d\u00ebnimi i p\u00ebrjetsh\u00ebm i pret ata q\u00eb mohojn\u00eb fjal\u00ebn e Zotit. Ajo deklaroi se do t\u00eb preferonte t\u00eb digjej e gjall\u00eb sesa t&#x27;u dor\u00ebzonte p\u00ebrndjek\u00ebsve Shkrimet e shenjta, t\u00eb cilat ajo i kishte ruajtur me aq mundim. Sundimtari, i t\u00ebrbuar nga q\u00ebndrueshm\u00ebria e virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs s\u00eb re, urdh\u00ebroi ta \u00e7onin lakuriq n\u00eb nj\u00eb shtypshkronj\u00eb p\u00ebr ta posht\u00ebruar. Por hiri i Frym\u00ebs s\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb e mbrojti mrekullisht Iren\u00ebn dhe askush nuk guxoi t&#x27;i afrohej ose t&#x27;i fliste n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb abuzive. N\u00eb rrug\u00eb u shfaq\u00ebn dy t\u00eb rinj, t\u00eb ndritur dhe imponues, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt u than\u00eb ushtar\u00ebve se vet\u00eb sundimtari i kishte d\u00ebrguar p\u00ebr ta \u00e7uar virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb mal t\u00eb lart\u00eb. Ushtar\u00ebt iu bind\u00ebn, pasi nuk e kuptuan se ishin dy engj\u00ebj t\u00eb Zotit, t\u00eb d\u00ebrguar p\u00ebr t\u00eb shp\u00ebtuar shenjtorin. Kur ajo u \u00e7ua n\u00eb maj\u00eb, lajm\u00ebtar\u00ebt qiellor\u00eb u zhduk\u00ebn dhe Irene mbeti atje duke lavd\u00ebruar Dh\u00ebndrin e saj. Kur Dulcetius mori vesh se \u00e7far\u00eb kishte ndodhur, ai u t\u00ebrbua dhe u nis me ushtar\u00eb drejt malit p\u00ebr ta ulur at\u00eb.
