Pak m\u00eb von\u00eb, kur prefekti e njohu mir\u00eb t\u00eb atin dhe i ofroi nj\u00eb rrug\u00ebdalje t\u00eb leht\u00eb, ai refuzoi as t\u00ebrheqjen m\u00eb t\u00eb vog\u00ebl n\u00eb besim. Sh\u00ebn Martir Kriskis vinte nga Myra e Likis\u00eb dhe i p\u00ebrkiste nj\u00eb familjeje t\u00eb shquar t\u00eb rajonit. Familja e tij e kishte rritur me arsim dhe prestigj, por zemra i ishte dh\u00ebn\u00eb Krishtit. Ai pa me dhimbje bashk\u00ebqytetar\u00ebt e tij duke vrapuar drejt altar\u00ebve dhe duke adhuruar idhujt e pajet\u00eb. Nuk duroi dot t\u00eb hesht\u00eb p\u00ebrball\u00eb kaq shum\u00eb gabimeve dhe vendosi t\u00eb fliste hapur. Nj\u00eb dit\u00eb ai hyri n\u00eb mes t\u00eb turm\u00ebs s\u00eb pagan\u00ebve dhe filloi t&#x27;i nxiste me zjarr dhe paturp\u00ebsi. Ai u shpjegoi atyre se e v\u00ebrteta gjendet vet\u00ebm n\u00eb Krishtin dhe se shp\u00ebtimi i tyre vjen nga kthimi tek Ai. Fjal\u00ebt e tij u d\u00ebgjuan me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb n\u00eb qytet dhe shpejt arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb vesh\u00ebt e zot\u00ebrve. Kur prefekti lokal d\u00ebgjoi at\u00eb q\u00eb i riu Kriskis po predikonte n\u00eb publik, ai menj\u00ebher\u00eb urdh\u00ebroi ta arrestonin dhe ta sillnin para tij. Ajo filloi ta pyeste p\u00ebr emrin e tij dhe p\u00ebr prejardhjen e t\u00eb atit, duke dashur t\u00eb dinte origjin\u00ebn e tij. Martiri, megjithat\u00eb, nuk donte t&#x27;u shkaktonte v\u00ebshtir\u00ebsi prind\u00ebrve t\u00eb tij dhe gjithmon\u00eb p\u00ebrgjigjej vet\u00ebm se ishte i krishter\u00eb. Ai nuk zbuloi asnj\u00eb em\u00ebr tjet\u00ebr, asnj\u00eb identitet tjet\u00ebr, p\u00ebrve\u00e7 marr\u00ebdh\u00ebnies s\u00eb tij t\u00eb thell\u00eb me Krishtin. Prefekti, i cili n\u00eb fakt e njihte mir\u00eb baban\u00eb e shenjtorit, donte t&#x27;i b\u00ebnte nj\u00eb nder. K\u00ebshtu ai i ofroi atij nj\u00eb zgjidhje n\u00eb dukje, p\u00ebr t&#x27;i shp\u00ebtuar torturave dhe vdekjes. Ai i tha q\u00eb t&#x27;u ofronte idhujve vet\u00ebm sakrifica formale, duke mbajtur n\u00eb shpirt besimin n\u00eb Zotin e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. Sh\u00ebn Kriskis hodhi posht\u00eb me indinjat\u00eb \u00e7do mendim p\u00ebr n\u00ebnshtrim t\u00eb shtirur ndaj idhujve. Rr\u00ebfeni para t\u00eb gjith\u00ebve t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00ebn e Krishtit me vendosm\u00ebri dhe guxim. Ai iu p\u00ebrgjigj prefektit se \u00ebsht\u00eb e pamundur q\u00eb trupi t\u00eb veproj\u00eb n\u00eb kund\u00ebrshtim me at\u00eb q\u00eb mendon dhe vendos vet\u00eb shpirti. P\u00ebrgjigja e d\u00ebshmitarit ishte e qart\u00eb dhe zbuloi gjith\u00eb q\u00ebndrimin e tij t\u00eb brendsh\u00ebm. Ai shpjegoi se shpirti qeveris dhe l\u00ebviz trupin dhe se asnj\u00eb jet\u00eb e dyfisht\u00eb nuk i p\u00ebrshtatet besimtarit t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb t\u00eb Krishtit. Ai nuk pranoi t\u00eb ndante sjelljen e tij t\u00eb hapur nga besimi i tij i fsheht\u00eb, sepse kjo do t\u00eb ishte mohimi i krishterimit. Por prefekti, duke par\u00eb q\u00ebndrimin e tij t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur, urdh\u00ebroi tortura t\u00eb r\u00ebnda kund\u00ebr tij. E var\u00ebn d\u00ebshmorin trim dhe filluan t&#x27;i grisin mishin me vegla hekuri. Gjaku i tij rridhte pa mas\u00eb, por shpirti i tij mbeti i bashkuar me Zotin dhe fuqin\u00eb e tij. Pastaj ndez\u00ebn nj\u00eb furr\u00eb t\u00eb madhe dhe prisnin q\u00eb ajo t\u00eb b\u00ebhej plot\u00ebsisht inkandeshente nga flak\u00ebt. Kur zjarri arriti pik\u00ebn m\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb, ata hodh\u00ebn Agios Kriskis brenda pa m\u00ebshir\u00eb. Ai e pranoi martirizimin me g\u00ebzim dhe e dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin e tij n\u00eb duart e Zotit.
