Vet\u00eb Krishti e quajti at\u00eb &quot;d\u00ebshmitari im besnik&quot; n\u00eb Apokalips, p\u00ebrmes goj\u00ebs s\u00eb Joani Teologut, t\u00eb m\u00ebrguar n\u00eb Patmos. Sh\u00ebn Antipas ishte bashk\u00ebkoh\u00ebs i Apostujve dhe u shugurua prej tyre si Episkopi i par\u00eb i Kish\u00ebs s\u00eb Pergamit. Ai jetoi n\u00eb vitet e v\u00ebshtira t\u00eb perandorit Domitian, kur persekutimi kund\u00ebr t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve po p\u00ebrhapej n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb perandorin\u00eb. Ai e kulloti kopen\u00eb e tij racionale me devotshm\u00ebri, maturi dhe virtyt, n\u00eb nj\u00eb qytet plot me tempuj pagan\u00eb dhe kulte t\u00eb err\u00ebta. Pergami ishte nj\u00eb vend ku, si\u00e7 thot\u00eb Apokalipsi, ishte froni i Satanait dhe mbret\u00ebronte gabimi. Por Sh\u00ebn ndri\u00e7onte mes njer\u00ebzve si drita n\u00eb err\u00ebsir\u00eb \u200b\u200bdhe si ari n\u00eb furr\u00eb. Ai fillimisht u p\u00ebrpoq me qet\u00ebsi ta bindte at\u00eb t\u00eb mohonte Krishtin dhe t\u00eb flijonte p\u00ebr idhujt. Ai fal\u00ebnderoi Zotin q\u00eb e meritonte t\u00eb vuante p\u00ebr emrin e Tij dhe t\u00eb sh\u00ebnohej n\u00eb librin e d\u00ebshmor\u00ebve. Lutjuni Krishtit q\u00eb ata q\u00eb th\u00ebrrasin emrin e tij t\u00eb gjejn\u00eb sh\u00ebrim nga \u00e7do s\u00ebmundje dhe ve\u00e7an\u00ebrisht nga dhimbjet e dh\u00ebmb\u00ebve. Ai gjithashtu k\u00ebrkoi q\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb ata q\u00eb nderojn\u00eb me nderim kujtimin e tij vjetor t\u00eb marrin faljen e m\u00ebkateve dhe m\u00ebshir\u00ebn hyjnore n\u00eb dit\u00ebn e Gjykimit. Disa vjet pas martirizimit t\u00eb Shenjtit, Joani Ungjilltarit iu besua nj\u00eb zbules\u00eb e madhe n\u00eb ishullin Patmos.
