N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb duart e tij u paralizuan dhe ai i l\u00ebvizi p\u00ebrs\u00ebri vet\u00ebm pasi b\u00ebri kryqin e tij, pas nj\u00ebzet e shtat\u00eb vjet pabesi. Pak m\u00eb von\u00eb ai vet\u00eb pa pran\u00eb tempullit figur\u00ebn e shenjtorit q\u00eb sapo ishte shfaqur. Q\u00eb nga ajo koh\u00eb ai u konvertua me gjith\u00eb zem\u00ebr dhe u b\u00eb nj\u00eb predikues i flakt\u00eb i hirit t\u00eb martirit t\u00eb ri t\u00eb Lesvosit. Edhe gruaja e tij ishte martire e k\u00ebtyre ngjarjeve me p\u00ebrvoj\u00ebn e saj. Ata e torturuan tmerr\u00ebsisht p\u00ebr dit\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00ebra, pa e p\u00ebrkulur besimin e tij n\u00eb Krishtin e ringjallur. T\u00eb mart\u00ebn e Diakainisimo, pasi e rrah\u00ebn me shkopinj, e t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn zvarr\u00eb p\u00ebr mjek\u00ebr n\u00eb rr\u00ebz\u00eb t\u00eb kodr\u00ebs. M\u00eb n\u00eb fund vendos\u00ebn t\u00eb g\u00ebrmojn\u00eb dhe m\u00eb 13 qershor t\u00eb n\u00ebnt\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb t\u00eb gjasht\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e gjet\u00ebn reliken e shenjtorit. Ata m\u00ebsuan nga vet\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Rafaeli detajet e jet\u00ebs s\u00eb shokut dhe dishepullit t\u00eb tij besnik. Sh\u00ebn Nikolla vinte nga Ragai i Midias, por u rrit pran\u00eb kish\u00ebs n\u00eb Selanik. Kur erdhi koha e martirizimit, turqit e kap\u00ebn dhe e torturuan bashk\u00eb me plakun e tij. Ai vdiq duke par\u00eb me syt\u00eb e tij martirizimin e babait t\u00eb tij shpirt\u00ebror, nga nj\u00eb atak n\u00eb zem\u00ebr. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb, nj\u00eb vajz\u00eb e vog\u00ebl dymb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vje\u00e7e me pamje engj\u00ebllore, partenomartirja e shenjt\u00eb Irene, iu prezantua nj\u00eb vajze. Hyjlind\u00ebse i ka treguar nj\u00eb besimtareje tjet\u00ebr se Irini ishte vajza e provokatorit t\u00eb fshatit Vassiliou. Ai ishte strehuar n\u00eb manastir me familjen dhe banor\u00ebt e tjer\u00eb t\u00eb zon\u00ebs, duke k\u00ebrkuar mbrojtje. Turqit u p\u00ebrpoq\u00ebn t\u00eb nxirrnin nga Vasiliius informacione p\u00ebr luft\u00ebtar\u00ebt e krishter\u00eb, por ai nuk l\u00ebvizi kurr\u00eb. M\u00eb pas ata e kap\u00ebn Iren\u00ebn e vog\u00ebl dhe, para syve t\u00eb prind\u00ebrve, i pren\u00eb dy duart me nj\u00eb mizori t\u00eb tmerrshme. Pastaj e hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb kavanoz t\u00eb madh dhe ndez\u00ebn nj\u00eb zjarr posht\u00eb dhe k\u00ebshtu e dogj\u00ebn t\u00eb gjall\u00eb. Pran\u00eb varreve t\u00eb Rafaelit dhe Nikolaos dol\u00ebn n\u00eb drit\u00eb edhe varre t\u00eb tjera martir\u00ebsh t\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtit p\u00ebrndjekje. Sh\u00ebn Rafaeli u shfaq n\u00eb zbulimet e m\u00ebvonshme i rrethuar nga nj\u00eb mori murgeshash t\u00eb shenjta t\u00eb atij manastiri t\u00eb vjet\u00ebr. Nj\u00eb shekull para martirizimit t\u00eb tij, m\u00eb 11 maj, abacia Olimpiada dhe murgesha Eufrosine u masakruan nga pirat\u00ebt turq. Shenjtori lejoi gjithashtu t\u00eb zbulohej nj\u00eb imazh i Krishtit dhe nj\u00eb burim shenjt\u00ebrimi. N\u00ebp\u00ebr k\u00ebto vende t\u00eb shenjta ndodh\u00ebn mrekulli t\u00eb panum\u00ebrta dhe mij\u00ebra besimtar\u00eb u dynd\u00ebn nga \u00e7do cep i Greqis\u00eb. Por shenjtor\u00ebt nuk u kufizuan thjesht n\u00eb komunikimin e ekzistenc\u00ebs dhe rrethanave t\u00eb martirizimit t\u00eb tyre t\u00eb lavdish\u00ebm tek besimtar\u00ebt. Ata e d\u00ebshmuan af\u00ebrsin\u00eb e tyre me Zotin p\u00ebrmes mrekullive, t\u00eb cilat n\u00eb vend q\u00eb t\u00eb shuhen, po shtohen vazhdimisht deri n\u00eb dit\u00ebt e sotme. Sh\u00ebn Rafaeli vazhdon t\u00eb shfaqet, i fjetur apo zgjuar, para njer\u00ebzve t\u00eb shumt\u00eb, t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm apo indiferent\u00eb ndaj besimit. D\u00ebshmit\u00eb vijn\u00eb nga Greqia dhe arrijn\u00eb n\u00eb Amerik\u00eb dhe Australi, n\u00eb \u00e7do komunitet ortodoks. Ai sh\u00ebron t\u00eb s\u00ebmur\u00ebt q\u00eb mjek\u00ebt i kan\u00eb quajtur t\u00eb pash\u00ebruesh\u00ebm dhe u jep jet\u00eb t\u00eb re familjeve t\u00eb d\u00ebshp\u00ebruara. Ajo zgjon nd\u00ebrgjegjet e r\u00ebnduara nga m\u00ebkati dhe i kthen n\u00eb pendim shpirtrat e larguar prej koh\u00ebsh. Ai leht\u00ebson dhimbjet dhe hidh\u00ebrimet, mban zi dhe sprova dhe u jep ngush\u00ebllim besimtar\u00ebve t\u00eb pik\u00eblluar.
