Pausilipus, nj\u00eb romak fisnik me pasuri dhe pozit\u00eb shoq\u00ebrore, preferoi gjakun e martirizimit sesa ngroht\u00ebsin\u00eb e pallatit. Kujtimi i tij nderohet nga Kisha m\u00eb tet\u00eb prill dhe jeta e tij i p\u00ebrket viteve t\u00eb perandorit Hadrian, n\u00eb gjysm\u00ebn e par\u00eb t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb dyt\u00eb pas lindjes s\u00eb Krishtit. Por d\u00ebshmori q\u00ebndroi i pal\u00ebkundur dhe refuzoi me vendosm\u00ebri \u00e7do premtim dhe \u00e7do k\u00ebrc\u00ebnim. At\u00ebher\u00eb Praktus urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb ta fshikullonin treqind her\u00eb, pa m\u00ebshir\u00eb dhe pa frym\u00eb. I lidhur me zinxhir\u00eb t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb hekuri, d\u00ebshmori u \u00e7ua nga ushtar\u00ebt n\u00eb vendin ku do t\u00eb binte shpata. Brenda rrug\u00ebs, edhe pse i rraskapitur nga goditjet, befas ndjeu nj\u00eb fuqi hyjnore t&#x27;i v\u00ebrshonte gjith\u00eb trupin. Me k\u00ebt\u00eb fuqi ai theu zinxhir\u00ebt e hekurt q\u00eb e mbanin dhe u \u00e7lirua nga duart e rojeve t\u00eb tij. Ai mori nga Krishti kuror\u00ebn e amarantit dhe jet\u00ebn e p\u00ebrjetshme q\u00eb kishte d\u00ebshiruar. Kur ushtar\u00ebt mb\u00ebrrit\u00ebn, e gjet\u00ebn tashm\u00eb t\u00eb vdekur, duke pushuar i qet\u00eb n\u00eb hirin e Zotit. Shpirti i tij kishte shp\u00ebtuar p\u00ebrgjithmon\u00eb nga duart e persekutor\u00ebve dhe kishte arritur n\u00eb destinacionin e lakmuar. Pak m\u00eb von\u00eb, n\u00eb at\u00eb vend mb\u00ebrrit\u00ebn t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt besnik\u00eb, sapo u njoftuan p\u00ebr at\u00eb q\u00eb kishte ndodhur. Ata e ngrit\u00ebn me nderim dhe respekt t\u00eb thell\u00eb reliken e shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb d\u00ebshmorit trim t\u00eb besimit. Ata e mbanin at\u00eb me nderime, duke k\u00ebnduar psalme dhe k\u00ebng\u00eb t\u00eb shenjta nd\u00ebrsa marshonin. K\u00ebshtu, me nj\u00eb kortezh solemn dhe d\u00ebrrmues, e varros\u00ebn trupin e tij n\u00eb nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb p\u00ebrshtatsh\u00ebm p\u00ebr nderimin e besimtar\u00ebve. Emri i tij ishte shkruar n\u00eb deltat e Kish\u00ebs si Pausilipos ose Pausolipios, rrfimtari trim i besimit. Kisha e nderon at\u00eb \u00e7do vit m\u00eb tet\u00eb prill, si nj\u00eb fest\u00eb fikse e kalendarit t\u00eb saj kishtar. Emri i tij do t\u00eb thot\u00eb ai q\u00eb ndal trishtimin dhe \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb kujtes\u00eb e vazhdueshme e mesazhit ngush\u00ebllues t\u00eb sakrific\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. Ai la q\u00ebndrimin e p\u00ebrkohsh\u00ebm t\u00eb k\u00ebsaj toke dhe kaloi n\u00eb banes\u00ebn e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb t\u00eb g\u00ebzimit dhe prehjes qiellore.
