At\u00ebher\u00eb iu shfaq nj\u00eb i huaj dhe e d\u00ebrgoi n\u00eb nj\u00eb manastir af\u00ebr Jordanit, p\u00ebr t\u00eb m\u00ebsuar se sa rrug\u00eb shp\u00ebtimi ka n\u00eb bot\u00eb. Osh\u00ebnar Zosimas jetoi gjat\u00eb sundimit t\u00eb perandorit Justiniian dhe ia kushtoi jet\u00ebn Zotit q\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb re. Ai hyri n\u00eb nj\u00eb manastir n\u00eb Palestin\u00eb dhe ushtrua n\u00eb \u00e7do lloj virtyti me p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi dhe durim. Ai vizitoi afro nj\u00eb mij\u00eb asketik\u00eb t\u00eb famsh\u00ebm p\u00ebr t\u00eb m\u00ebsuar nga men\u00e7uria dhe p\u00ebrvoja e tyre. Ushqimi i tij ishte modest dhe e fitonte me mundin e duarve t\u00eb tij. G\u00ebzimi i tij m\u00eb i madh ishte k\u00ebndimi dhe studimi i Shkrimeve t\u00eb Shenjta n\u00eb mes t\u00eb nat\u00ebs. Zoti e mund\u00ebsoi shum\u00eb her\u00eb t\u00eb shihte vegime qiellore, pasi zemra e tij ishte pastruar nga pasionet. K\u00ebshtu fama e shenjt\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb tij u p\u00ebrhap shum\u00eb larg dhe murgjit nga manastiret e af\u00ebrta dhe t\u00eb larg\u00ebta erdh\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u00eb k\u00ebrkuar k\u00ebshill\u00ebn e tij. Kur kaluan pes\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e tre vjet jet\u00eb t\u00eb vetmuar, Osh\u00ebnar d\u00ebshironte t\u00eb zhytej m\u00eb thell\u00eb n\u00eb qet\u00ebsi dhe heshtje. K\u00ebshtu ai vendosi t\u00eb shkonte n\u00eb Manastirin e Shenjt\u00eb Pararend\u00ebs, pran\u00eb uj\u00ebrave t\u00eb lumit Jordan. Atje iu p\u00ebrkushtua agj\u00ebrimit dhe lutjes s\u00eb rrept\u00eb, brenda nj\u00eb manastiri me nj\u00eb port\u00eb q\u00eb ishte gjithmon\u00eb e mbyllur. Murgjit jetonin n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00eb dhe luteshin pa u shp\u00ebrqendruar, larg zhurmave t\u00eb rrug\u00ebve njer\u00ebzore. Rajoni ishte i v\u00ebshtir\u00eb dhe i panjohur dhe askush nuk guxonte leht\u00ebsisht t&#x27;i afrohej nga jasht\u00eb. N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb manastir kishte nj\u00eb zakon t\u00eb bukur gjat\u00eb Kreshm\u00ebs s\u00eb Madhe, q\u00eb i bashkonte baballar\u00ebt me shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebn. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb murgjit dol\u00ebn n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00eb p\u00ebr t&#x27;u lutur, duke l\u00ebn\u00eb vet\u00ebm portierin brenda manastirit. T\u00eb enjten e Madhe ata u kthyen p\u00ebrs\u00ebri s\u00eb bashku p\u00ebr t\u00eb marr\u00eb pjes\u00eb n\u00eb misteret e shenjta t\u00eb Krishtit. Kur erdhi koha, edhe Zosima me baballar\u00ebt e tjer\u00eb u nis p\u00ebr n\u00eb thell\u00ebsi t\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebs. Atje Per\u00ebndia po p\u00ebrgatitte p\u00ebr t\u00eb nj\u00eb takim q\u00eb do t\u00eb sh\u00ebnonte pjes\u00ebn tjet\u00ebr t\u00eb jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. N\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebn e madhe Osh\u00ebnar papritmas pa nj\u00eb figur\u00eb dhe filloi ta ndiqte me habi dhe frik\u00eb. Ishte Osh\u00ebnar Maria e Egjiptit q\u00eb i k\u00ebrkoi nj\u00eb rrob\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb mbuluar lakuriq\u00ebsin\u00eb e saj. Zosimas me d\u00ebshir\u00eb i dha asaj veshjen e tij dhe ajo me p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi i tregoi t\u00eb gjith\u00eb historin\u00eb e jet\u00ebs s\u00eb saj. Ajo i tregoi se si i kishte kaluar vitet e rinis\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb jet\u00eb m\u00ebkatare dhe se si m\u00eb n\u00eb fund ishte \u00e7uar n\u00eb pendimin e shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebs. N\u00eb fund ai i k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb kthehej vitin e ardhsh\u00ebm n\u00eb brigjet e lumit Jordan duke sjell\u00eb misteret e shenjta. Kur mbaroi koha, Zosima mb\u00ebrriti n\u00eb vendin ku mbante trupin dhe gjakun e Krishtit. Pastaj pa lajm\u00ebtarin q\u00eb po kalonte mbi uj\u00ebrat e Jordanit, sikur t\u00eb ishte duke ecur n\u00eb tok\u00eb t\u00eb that\u00eb. Ai i p\u00ebrcolli dhuratat e ndershme dhe ajo u kthye s\u00ebrish e k\u00ebnaqur n\u00eb shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebn e saj t\u00eb thell\u00eb. N\u00eb vitin e tret\u00eb, Zosima shkoi p\u00ebrs\u00ebri dhe e gjeti Osin\u00eb duke fjetur n\u00eb gjirin e shkret\u00ebtir\u00ebs. P\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb mosh\u00ebs s\u00eb shtyr\u00eb, ai nuk kishte m\u00eb forc\u00eb t\u00eb g\u00ebrmonte vet\u00eb varrin e Sh\u00ebn M\u00ebris\u00eb. Pastaj nj\u00eb luan iu shfaq pran\u00eb dhe plaku i foli me besim dhe but\u00ebsi. Ai i k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb g\u00ebrmonte tok\u00ebn me thonjt\u00eb e tij, sepse ai vet\u00eb nuk mundi p\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb lodhjes s\u00eb viteve. Bisha u bind menj\u00ebher\u00eb, hapi nj\u00eb grop\u00eb n\u00eb tok\u00eb dhe Zosima varrosi trupin e ndersh\u00ebm t\u00eb shenjtorit. Pastaj u kthye n\u00eb manastir dhe i tha abatit Joani dhe gjith\u00eb v\u00ebllaz\u00ebris\u00eb at\u00eb q\u00eb kishte p\u00ebrjetuar. Ai u foli atyre p\u00ebr pendimin, ushtrimin dhe lavdin\u00eb me t\u00eb cil\u00ebn Zoti e kishte kuror\u00ebzuar at\u00eb shpirt t\u00eb p\u00ebrulur. Q\u00eb at\u00ebher\u00eb Osh\u00ebnar vazhdoi lutjen, lot\u00ebt dhe p\u00ebrpjekjet shpirt\u00ebrore me nj\u00eb zjarr edhe m\u00eb t\u00eb madh. Ai jetoi nj\u00ebqind vjet n\u00eb tok\u00eb dhe fjeti i qet\u00eb rreth pes\u00ebqind e gjasht\u00ebdhjet\u00eb pas Krishtit. Murgjit e komunitetit e varros\u00ebn me nderime n\u00eb manastirin e lumit Jordan.
