Ishte hieromonku Nikita, i cili kishte mb\u00ebrritur nga mali Athos me nj\u00eb d\u00ebshir\u00eb unike p\u00ebr t\u00eb derdhur gjakun e tij p\u00ebr Krishtin. Ai vinte nga Shqip\u00ebria dhe ishte sllav me origjin\u00eb, por nuk ruhen t\u00eb dh\u00ebna p\u00ebr familjen dhe vitet e tij t\u00eb hershme. Ai kishte ushtruar fillimisht n\u00eb manastirin rus t\u00eb Agios Pandelimoni n\u00eb Athos dhe m\u00eb pas n\u00eb Sket\u00ebn e Sh\u00ebn An\u00ebs, ku u pjekur shpirt\u00ebrisht n\u00eb qet\u00ebsi dhe studim. Aty pak nga pak iu ndez flaka e martirizimit, e cila e shtyu t\u00eb largohej nga vendi i praktik\u00ebs. K\u00ebshtu ai mori vendimin p\u00ebr t\u00eb udh\u00ebtuar n\u00eb Serres, nj\u00eb qytet q\u00eb vuante n\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb n\u00ebn zgjedh\u00ebn osmane. Ai mb\u00ebrriti atje m\u00eb 30 mars 1888, pik\u00ebrisht t\u00eb h\u00ebn\u00ebn e madhe dhe t\u00eb h\u00ebn\u00ebn. Ai u ndal n\u00eb nj\u00eb manastir aty pran\u00eb dhe i k\u00ebrkoi abatit mikpritje. Ata biseduan pak me ngroht\u00ebsi shpirt\u00ebrore dhe m\u00eb pas igumeni rifilloi turnet e zakonshme t\u00eb mbr\u00ebmjes n\u00eb manastir. Ai e la t\u00eb qet\u00eb shenjtorin, duke iu dor\u00ebzuar lutjes dhe p\u00ebrgatitjes s\u00eb or\u00ebs s\u00eb madhe. N\u00eb m\u00ebngjes At Nikita kumtoi Misteret e Pap\u00ebrlyera nga Liturgjia e Shenjt\u00ebrimit, duke marr\u00eb k\u00ebshtu ushqimin e tij t\u00eb fundit shpirt\u00ebror. M\u00eb pas ai u drejtua p\u00ebr n\u00eb nj\u00eb xhami n\u00eb periferi t\u00eb qytetit, i vendosur p\u00ebr t\u00eb shpallur hapur besimin e tij. Atje takoi nj\u00eb m\u00ebsues mysliman me nx\u00ebn\u00ebsit e tij dhe filloi nj\u00eb diskutim me ta p\u00ebr \u00e7\u00ebshtjet e fes\u00eb. Midis tyre ai ve\u00e7oi nj\u00eb t\u00eb ri q\u00eb \u00e7al\u00eb dhe iu afrua me dhembshuri dhe interesim. Ai e pyeti pse nuk k\u00ebrkoi trajtim p\u00ebr dob\u00ebsin\u00eb e tij nga ndonj\u00eb ndihm\u00ebs i fuqish\u00ebm. I riu u p\u00ebrgjigj se nj\u00eb gj\u00eb e till\u00eb ishte e pamundur, pasi kishte lindur me k\u00ebt\u00eb problem dhe nuk kishte asnj\u00eb shpres\u00eb p\u00ebr sh\u00ebrim. K\u00ebto fjal\u00eb u b\u00ebn\u00eb shkak p\u00ebr at\u00eb q\u00eb pasoi. Murgu u p\u00ebrgjigj me besim se sh\u00ebrimi ishte i leht\u00eb, vet\u00ebm n\u00ebse ai pranonte t&#x27;i bindej atij n\u00eb nj\u00eb hap t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsish\u00ebm. Burri i \u00e7al\u00eb e shikoi me kuriozitet dhe e pyeti sakt\u00ebsisht se si duhet t&#x27;i bindej. At\u00ebher\u00eb Nikita i tha qart\u00eb q\u00eb t\u00eb besonte n\u00eb Jisu Krishtin si i vetmi Per\u00ebndi i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. Ai i premtoi atij se n\u00ebse do t\u00eb pag\u00ebzohej, do t\u00eb sh\u00ebrohej dhe nuk do t\u00eb mbetej asnj\u00eb gjurm\u00eb e \u00e7al\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. I riu nuk u p\u00ebrgjigj, por menj\u00ebher\u00eb vrapoi te m\u00ebsuesi i tij dhe i tha at\u00eb q\u00eb kishte d\u00ebgjuar nga murgu i huaj. M\u00eb pas mjeshtri e pyeti shenjtorin nga vinte dhe \u00e7far\u00eb i kishte th\u00ebn\u00eb me kaq guxim dishepullit t\u00eb tij. Ushtari trim i Krishtit pa frik\u00eb iu p\u00ebrgjigj se kishte ardhur nga Shqip\u00ebria dhe kishte ardhur p\u00ebr t\u00eb predikuar krishterimin. Ai i erdhi keq, tha ai, p\u00ebr njeriun e \u00e7al\u00eb dhe e k\u00ebshilloi t\u00eb besonte n\u00eb Krishtin, q\u00eb t\u00eb mund t\u00eb gjente sh\u00ebndet fizik dhe nj\u00eb trash\u00ebgimi t\u00eb Mbret\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb Qiellit. M\u00ebsuesi menj\u00ebher\u00eb ndjeu se duhej ta ndalonte k\u00ebt\u00eb z\u00eb. K\u00ebshtu ai i d\u00ebrgoi fjal\u00eb kryetarit t\u00eb qytetit se nj\u00eb murg kishte mb\u00ebrritur atje dhe po fliste kund\u00ebr fes\u00eb s\u00eb tyre. Shenjtori u arrestua pa vones\u00eb dhe u mbyll n\u00eb burg p\u00ebr gjith\u00eb nat\u00ebn, mes mizoris\u00eb s\u00eb vetmis\u00eb. T\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen u \u00e7ua p\u00ebr t&#x27;u marr\u00eb n\u00eb pyetje para udh\u00ebheq\u00ebsve fetar\u00eb mysliman\u00eb, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt u p\u00ebrpoq\u00ebn me \u00e7do m\u00ebnyr\u00eb ta bindnin. N\u00eb pamund\u00ebsi p\u00ebr ta mposhtur at\u00eb me argumente logjike, ata iu drejtuan torturave t\u00eb tmerrshme, me shpres\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u00eb p\u00ebrkulur vullnetin e tij. Por Nikita mbeti i pal\u00ebkundur dhe i patrazuar, me zemr\u00ebn e tij plot\u00ebsisht t\u00eb p\u00ebrqendruar te Krishti. N\u00eb mbr\u00ebmjen e s\u00eb Shtun\u00ebs s\u00eb Madhe 1808 ai u var publikisht dhe k\u00ebshtu ia dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin Dh\u00ebndrit t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs. Figura e tij mbeti e varur deri t\u00eb mart\u00ebn e Diakenissimus, kur m\u00eb n\u00eb fund iu dha leja t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve q\u00eb ta merrnin dhe ta varrosnin. Q\u00eb at\u00ebher\u00eb kujtimi i tij nderohet me nderim t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb, nd\u00ebrsa qyteti e njeh si mbrojt\u00ebs dhe mbrojt\u00ebs.
